Our recent visit was our second and we will certainly stay there again. Stunning location. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Excellent value for money.
The bathroom, cramped and claustrophobic, on our first visit we had quite a large bathroom, (excessively so maybe), perhaps if the bath was removed and a shower cubicle put in it would feel less so - just an observation.
food could be improved upon
Good food. Nice room with a great view. Friendly staff.
There wasn't any thing I disliked.
The hotel is lovely and once I told Reception about the problem with my room they immediately moved me. A great place to stay as long as it's not room 27.
Room 27 is directly over the bar and if guests are having a good time late at night into the early morning - you don't. Was kept awake two nights running.
I booked 'a small double room' and it certainly was small. Tables for breakfast were assigned in advance, even though the hotel did not seem busy, so I was a long way from the buffet.
Staff attitude. The staff and management are cheery and very helpful. They clearly take a pride in being efficient and looking after their residents.
Friendly staff Comfortable lounges Pleasant swimming pool Wifi available in all rooms
Dining room is a bit sterile Location of hotel is good but the coast line is not very attractive.
Bedroom baking hot - even with window wide open, due to hot towel rail in bathroom. Spoilt my second day's stay.
Very nice hotel will be going back very soon
Room 61 near lift for disabled wife.
Saturday Disco in dining room while trying to have a quiet dinner and bottle of wine at the start of our holiday. Not a good first impression.
everything was lovely and luxurious, great setting, good service and food above average.
hotel stated entertainment would be provided and it was the main reason for my booking - but there wasn't any at all!
Lovely view, wonderful pub round the corner, The Mount Pleasant, great food and atmosphere.
Not a lively place by any means, quite old-fashioned in many ways, probably more suited to the 'older' person.
visited for last 15 years will continue for the next 50
what is there to write about, everything is there!
how can you dislike anything when there,s nothing to dislike!
The hotel is ideal for families with young children. Clean and comfortable. Great playroom. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Good breakfast. Nice grounds. Plenty of parking. We had a ground floor room, so no struggling with luggage on stairs.
Tv reception in bedroom was hit and miss. Pool was a bit small and crowded.
To many to mention
Very hot in room but the fan helped .
Nice hotel but overpriced
The facilities were brilliant, the Staff were brilliant. I have nothing negative to say about the Langstone
All of it was very relaxing Felt at home there. Great staff. Thanks for a pleasant stay and will visit again.
if had moan about anything? it just be the pool closing early. but can see why is.
We enjoyed a lovely relaxing Monday - Friday break. All the staff were smiley, friendly & helpful. Room was a excellent family room very clean and comfortable. Our 6 year old grandson loved the children's entertainment every night. There was plenty of comfy chairs to relax in the evening to either read or watch TV. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Our grandson loved being able to go for a swim In the indoor pool, when it was a bit chilly for the outdoor pool.
Having to come home.
Very relaxing with brilliant views and friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble and always very clean. The gardens were beautiful.
Room was a little warm as no air con but a fan was provided that helped. Bed a little small compared to what we are used to.
Relaxing on the veranda & enjoying the view. Lovely walk into Dawlish along the railway line.
indoor and outdoor pools food clean and tidy
room needed a small fan bathroom needed another towel rail
The room and general facilities were good and clean. Breakfast provided a wide selection of good quality options. The staff were pleasant too.
The bar is very limited and dinner in the restaurant was poor value for money especially given the options elsewhere in the Dawlish area.
