Langstone Cliff Hotel  

El personal me ha parecido encantador, sobre todo las señoras que sirven el desayuno. Es todo como de otra epoca...pero bien !!!

The location was ideal for our trip. There were excellent facilities available which would certainly suit families. The parking was good and it was within easy walk of the coastal footpaths/station/bus routes etc.The staff were very friendly which made up for the slight 'niggles' which I have listed below.

The dining room - beautifully decorated but the tables were lined up in rows - very cafeteria. They were so close together (1-2inches apart) that conversation ended up being stilted. The buffet style dinner did not really work for us - the food was being kept hot, so items such as tuna dried out rapidly. Lack of staff and/or training meant that items such as bread were offered to some tables and not others and there was definitely no explanation of what to do - we had to keep asking. This could be a really great hotel - it needs a little 'fine tuning' You really should have freshly cooked items for the price.Cleanliness was a slight issue - bins not emptied everyday in the bathroom, tiles obviously not wiped down so hairs left, condiment sets not cleaned (dried baked bean sauce on ours) - all tiny things that could easily be sorted.

Good view, good food, good walking areas.

Bed linen not changed often enough.

Great views. Nice ambience. Pleasant staff. Good accommodation. Good parking. We're booked for airshow in June!

I was very impressed with the receptionist, unfortunaltley I did not get her name but I travel down to the south west quite often on business and because of her helpfullness I will try and stay at the Langstone Cliff Hotel every time I come down

The rooms were clean and tidy

The staff were helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was only an overnight stay but I would go again.

We have been to this hotel many many times since my daugher was a baby, She is now nearly 17. The food is always very good. The magician/entertainer on Friday night was quite entertaining for adults and kids. The gardens are beautifully kept. Most of the staff (the younger ones) helpful and pleasant in the dining room

The hotel has gone down a bit since we last went in 2009. The room was not properly cleaned. Dust on the back rim of the dressing table, dust around the edged of the carpet. Hairs in the bathroom. Dirty marks on the walls. Dirty hand marks on the bathroom door. The free wi fi, was virtually non existant, we only managed to get on the network once or twice. Some staff have been there many many years and one in particular who was always grumpy is still there in the resturant and has not changed. We had been waiting a while one morning at breakfast and she went by our table and I asked her if we could please have some tea, coffee and toast.... And she was almost rude, saying she would come to us in a moment. Then a young lad came up to us smiling asking if we had ordered.... Much nicer manner. Which is what you expect. I think the hotel is now overpriced for what it is. Not sure if I will return again this time.

Central location for visiting the surrounding area. Great for place for fresh sea breezes and train spotting.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the break was very good value for money. A lovely setting with sea views, a family run hotel added to its appeal, the spa facilities we tried and were happy with the treatments we had. For those watching the waist line dont look at the sweet trolley, the pounds will pile on. Get the right weather and just relax in the grounds with a good book theres nothing better. Lot to do in the local area easy walk to the beach we had a good day out on the Paginton steam train to Dartmouth.

Excellent accomodation, friendly staff and good service in restaurant.Plenty of car parking spaces. Good swimming pool and excellent outside sitting areas.
