The Edwardian scenery, the respect for past History, the quality of the dinner, the helpful personnel, the room. |

It was very pleasant on the eye and staff were lovely. Pigeons, hard bed, noisy tv fan, expensive bar, ventilation, breakfast service (slow and laboured), other guests! |

Ambience of a country house with attractive architectural features and appropriately furnished public areas. Nothing major, just a few niggles,eg.inadequate water flow into bath meant that the jacuzzi bath took an age to fill, main bathroom light not working. |

The location was very good. Also the pictures looked good but this did not represent reality I thought the room was very disappointing and dufficutl for some one over six feet to feel comfrotable. Also the cleanliness good be improved |

lovely rooms and nice location. There was a nice air of history around the place i found the atmosphere of the bar and the restaurant a little uneasy to relax in. Felt as though i wasn't wanted there at times, |

Very good location but away from the main road. Therefore very quiet in during the night ensuring good nights sleep. Extremely comfortable bed also helped here. Very good food and dining room environment. The bathroom was very small, but since I was a single traveller on business, this wasnt a major problem. |

The staff were welcoming, efficient and polite. The room was very comfortable. Both houses had a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food was good. The Lillie Langtry connection plus the artefacts on show added a great deal of extra interest. The only thing was that on our last night (14th July) there was an inexplicable delay in both the time spent in the bar before going into the Restaurant and the time between courses (although as always the staff were very pleasant and efficient). This was probably just a 'one off'. |

It was nice to stay in a friendly individual hotel instead of a faceless chain hotel. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The grandest dining room I've ever eaten in! Great Veggie breakfast and a great big comfortable bed.Would definitely stay again. Only got to stay one night! |

I thought the staff were under trained in dealing with their customers it would have been nice to see uniformed staff. Room wasn't anything special there was no iron or hairdryer in room. It was very pricey for what it was and only using its history to get customers through the door. It also felt like we were being watched like hawks and the chef certainly needs a few cooking tips!!! |

The very pleasant relaxed feel of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. The meal we had in the hotel was lovely and to a high standard. There was large damp patch within the dining area on the ceiling which did spoil the look. More attention to the cob webs, and a lick of paint in places. |

It was a quiet hotel and the staff were very helpful. Disappointed with the choice of food, we had to travel into town for our food. |

I loved the area - away from the madding crowd in a peaceful part of Bournemouth, close to the beach, it took us only fifteen minutes to walk to the town centre. Beautiful old historic building -we found it really clean - which isn't easy in an old building. Our room had a contemporary feel to it which we liked. Staff were really helpful and the food was amazing. I like decafinated tea but they had run out. |

Excellent food, friendly staff clean and very comfortable bed a very relaxed atmosphere during our stay. The Hotel bar was recovering from a busy weekend and thereore had run out of some drinks staff were very apologetic we were also informed the hotel dining room was not open due to a lack of demand and whilst looking for an alternative thnakfully they had received some bookings and therefore re opened. |
