Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club

Did not choose this hotel for the golf as im a non golfer.but the hotel was great ,with great views.went there as it was discounted .but found the staff very helpful and welcoming , breakfast ,service ,fantastic.would stay at this hotel again .

room are nice good value for money, eat in restauraunt or bar

The breakfast selection was particularly good,fresh and varied.The staff were well trained in being polite, welcoming and helpful.We would gladly return. M Rapkins.

A heated towel rail would make a difference.

The Hotel was located in a quiet area away from any traffic noise, the rooms were very pleasant, resturant was very comfortable with excellent food. Staff were well trained and very courteous.

I thought this hotel was brilliant and mainly due t all the staff who were always happy to help. The room had abeautifull view of the surrounding countryside with juliet balcony. Ate in the restaurant and the food was brilliant, not to poncy but not somewhere youd turn up in your work clothes. All in all was amasing went there for girl friends birthday after visiting eden project (5 mins away) and everyhing was perfect. Am going back in the summer next year with the lads for a golf weekend and thats mainly down to the staff who were the best ive experienced in any hotel.

Hotel was of extremely high standard and staff were all friendly and helpful without exception - from initial telephone call confirming booking to departure date.

The room was fantastic...we stayed in a double deluxe overlooking the green. I'm a vegetarian and they catered for me very well at breakfast too.

Ease of access. Value for money food. Widescreen tv in the bar and sheffield united beat sheffield wednesday!

Golf green fees too expensive. More help needed on reception. A more welcoming reception in the golf shop. Other leisure facilities would enhance the hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was excellent. The evening meal together with the breakfast were first class. Excellent value. Golf course very good condition - well kept.

The whole experience of our stay was better than expected.The staff were really friendly and helpful.The standard of the room and the restaurant made the stay a little bit special.

Everything , apart from the weather!. The staff were all extremely friendly. the hotel was lovely, comfortable, and the veiws across the golf course were beautiful. A good discount for residents on green fees. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was very good.

This was a last minute booking (seriously; we checked in just hours after booking online) for an emergency visit. It had everything we wanted. There was plenty of parking, the reception staff were nice, the rooms clean and the food was pretty good. The hotel is basically a mogolf club, but it was a tranquil spot, and we chose it because it was about the same price as a travel/premier inn and it turned out to be a better alternative as it was peaceful. There was a party going on in the bar area one night, but we didn't feel excluded, nor would it have disturbed us as the restaurant area is in a different wing. NB: that unless you eat in the restaurant or bar then the nearest decent places to eat are in a local village 15mins drive away

My guess is that this hotel tends to serve business people and those taking advantage of the golf course. Even so, it would've been nice to see some more info about local places to visit. Otherwise this ticked all the boxes. Oh, I loathed the 'art' in the dining room, but that's just my personal taste.
