Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club  

The reception staff gave us the exact room that we requested. The breakfasts were hot and tasty and staff friendly. Enjoyed eating in the bar. Overall, it is the staff that makes the hotel great!

Friendly welcome; nothing was too much trouble (ironing board :); bar food was tasty and served quickly; rooms were clean, and comfortable.

Would be better to have an iron and ironing board in the room, rather than the trouser press (which didn't press well at all). But this wouldn't stop us staying again.

The Food in the Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced.. There was plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpfull

The hotel was situated a little out of Bodmin, but only a few minutes by car. There was plenty of parking. Our room had a lovely view directly onto the golf course, and accessible via glass doors onto a small patio area. The room was spacious and the bathroom very large with heated flooring. It was well serviced. We spent four nights at Lanhydrock and were really happy to return to it at the end of each day's outing. The dining room for breakfast had a gorgeous view over the greens via a wall of glass. Breakfasts were excellent.

The only downside to the hotel was with the quality of service and meals in the bar area. The Bistro was good but seemed a little more formal than we wanted, so we opted for the menu in the bar on two evenings. The bar staff were slow to serve, forgot an order, and served very ordinary food, which was a real pity considering the overall quality of the hotel, but apart from that it was a very good stay. If we were to stay at Lanhydrock again we would probably just eat out.

Impossible to turn off bathroom ventilation, which could be heard at night even thru' closed door. Waste of energy, too.

Conveniently situated for touring the area. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Views over the golf course from the room were spectacular in the early morning. Breakfast was an excellent buffet with extras made to order. Choices of dinner were the bistro or bar with the bar having a much nicer atmosphere.

Comfortable, modern accommodation, good food in bistro and bar and a lovely golf course. Also Lanhydrock House (National Trust) nearby.

We were there on a special deal which made it excellent value but we might be reluctant to pay the normal rates in the future.
