Lansdowne Hotel  

I booked the Hotel before reading the reviews. When I did read the reviews I was a bit worried! I was a lone female traveller visiting my sister in hospital. The hospital is within walking distance of the Hotel, hence the booking. I was checked in by Anna, and told her of my concerns. I am happy to say they were completely unfounded. I was upgraded from a single to a double room and was placed in a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable, a little tatty, but I would expect this after paying such a reasonable rate. I would happily recommend this Hotel. Excellent staff, great location, very reasonable.

Great value hotel friendly staff, and right on 24 hour bus route for only 3 quid a day, 10 mins from city center. Will defiantly be using this hotel for nights out in the future.

It is a budget hotel, if u want 4 stars go to the Hilton and mortgage your house.

too many issues , think it needs a complete re-furb

I liked the fact that there was a pub near by with a pool table and table football. This was the only good thing about my stay in the Lansdowne Hotel. The best bit about it was when I was leaving.

I didn't like the fact that there was a health and saftey hazard in the room, where the window had been cracked and you tried to cover up the crack with a fire saftey sign. I also didn't like pretty much anything about the hotel as it was like going back in time. There was nothing modern about it at all.

Maybe the rooms could be a bit updated but we only got ready and slept in the hotel so can't really complain

Su ubicación cercana a estacion de metro y desde la cual se pueden tomar tambien varias lineas de buses urbanos. Es tranquilo. En la habitacion se siente poco ruido

El personal que atiende es en general poco amable.

Von den untersten Schubladen war das die unterste!! Für einen Zimmerschlüssel muss man 10 Pfund Depot geben. Muffige und komisch riechende Zimmer. Schlechte Matratzen. Farbe blättert von den Wänden. Man hört jedes Wort vom Zimmer nebenan. Und wenn dort Ruhe war, hörte man das Volk vom Musikschuppen nebenan. Lärm, Geschrei, Gelächter etc. Und das bis 3 Uhr Morgens. Das "Badezimmer" eine Ruine. Frühstück auf wackeligen alten Tischen. Auf dem Tischfläche klebten noch Rückstände von den Vorgängern. Es ist mir ein Rätsel, wie ich dieses "Hotel" buchen konnte. Das dürfte von hotels.com nicht angeboten werden. So etwas habe ich als Vielreisender wirklich noch nie erlebt. Nie mehr wieder! Ich rate allen von diesem Haus ab.

Shower doesn't work and there was no hot water. Price is too high for this standard. It is really old hotel. We couldn't switch on TV.
