We all liked the different lounges although the hotel was busy it was nice to have a relaxing place to sit and chat.
Room comfort, staff atmosphere and location
The comfort, the cosy lounges, the large double bedroom and the price Also I can strongly recommend the bar meals they are excellent and real value for money
A friendly feel and quick resolution to any concerns
The shower was at a fixed height, which was much shorter than me and water pressure was appalling meaning by the time I had washed my hair, the rest of me was dry. Tired decor through out. Not a quality feel. Plugs were limited and away from the beds. Lacks many of the features of other local or modern hotels.
Goodbreakfast, several small lounges
Wifii withdrawn day of return heating went off
The comfort of the room and facilities.
Slamming of doors interrupting sleep.
The room was a nice size. There was a bath as well as shower. The hotel had a nice welcoming atmosphere.
nothing comes to mind staff always willing and eager to assist.
Liked the sea view
The room was so small, even though we paid for a sea view. The photos on the Internet showed the sea view room was large. The bar food was good when they got the order right!!!
Nice stay lots of space in our room 3 of us very comfortable and goid location. Also parking was available close hotel. Yummy food
Could not stay longer..
Quiet spacious room. Good breakfast Helpful and friendly staff
Cosy & friendly
Creaky floorboards and noisy hot water pipes!
View, breakfast and location
Excellent service particularly in the restaurant. Prompt allocation of another room when the heating wasn't working properly.
No car parking facilities on site. OK in winter but probably difficult in the summer.
The room was big and nicely furnished. The dog was made quite welcome. Great sea view. Quite impersonal but that suited us just fine
Convenient for the theatres.
Very good value for money hotel, close to all the main attractions / facilities in Eastbourne. The hotel itself is a grand old building, but it is well maintained and looked after. Breakfast is good value too.
We checked in late afternoon with no word from reception informing us that our room had no heating,or Hot Water. We were informed that the Hotel was full, and that they were trying to get the heating fixed, we were cold during the night, It was my Birthday and the trip was tobe a special stay over for 1 night, we had our little Bichon Frise dog BIBI with us,,my wife Fiona, and myself, 3 in total, We could not have a wash in the morning, the room was ice cold, This was the the most horrible stay we have ever had in Hotel, "Best Western is a disgrace to say the least, as for the Staff at reception they could not be bothered, and only said to us " thse things happen in winter time which we cannot do anything about. We are international travellers, having worked for British Airways as Senior Cabin Crew on Long haul, We were offered nothing at all as a gesture of good will,we paid our bill on arrival which was strange, however I can see why,Would we have paid on departure I think nopt under these circumstances I will be contacting the Tourist Board, the AA Tourist Board, and the local newspaper in the area this Hotel is based. The General Public needs to know what this Hotel does for paying guests, who are given a room with no Heating,or Hot Water. They should be ashamed of themselves, the whole Team of Staff at this Hotel. Thank you, Ray Ferris Guest..
Newly renovated bathroom. Lots of very pleasant, quiet lounges, good restaurant.
The receptionist was a bit sharp with my friend who had to pay extra because she'd booked the night before we arrived in error. Considering my friend had no qualms about paying the receptionist could have handled the interaction with more good grace.
The room was difficult to get to and poorly positioned with no view whatsoever. Car parking was extremely difficult and inconvenient. The place was clean enough but with only one lift working it was awkward accessing the room allocated.
Locality, price, breakfast, comfort and spaciousness of freshly renovated room.
Bar food service was a bit slow, but food was good.
Great seaview room with comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. A hotel with a friendly character.
The only strangeness was the lift. You definitely know when its reached ground floor as the 'bump' is rather brutal!
Very pleased with the help and friendliness of the staff.
Nothing to dislike
The room was large, not much noise.
Hairs in the bath and sink, seemed to be tucked away.
It was friendly. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean. Would recommend it.
Comfy bed, quiet, clean, good size room and good value for a late booking.
Bathroom window did not fully shut
