The thing I liked the most was the quiet and the silence.
The position is not good, it is far from the center and only one bus passes at the closest (?) bus stop. I had short interaction with the staff, but I didn't feel very comfortable with them. They looked busy with activities other than the guests. Finally, I asked to print a ticket by it was impossible to find a printer in the house.
wifi was pretty decent which is its one saving grace. I'm a worker so I'm not after much more than free parking and good wifi so i would have happily stayed here for a reasonable price but to say it doesn't even offer breakfast it so over priced. went here as it was the only place left in cambridge
Very rude manager.
Good value for money.
The cold water tap in the bathroom was broken. Despite repeated request it was not fixed.
The neatness and serene nature of the house.
Wish the bath towels can be changed every other day.
I arrived about 3hrs earlier before check in, time. The Manager Mr Wilson willing to accomodate
Wifif a bit slow, Mr Wilson was quiet when I asked him a question he answered later on
the house overall is good and the staff was really friendly.
But I am pretty sure I could rent same quality hotel in a cheaper price.
The friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. warm and cosy. Not stuffy or pretentious. Lots of leaflets and maps on display. Free wifi. Parking.
No breakfast provided. Towels were stiff and smelt a bit old/mouldy.
*Location - just outside the city center, easy to get into the center through a couple of different routes *Quiet *Wifi
clean and good value.
there was no lounge room or comfortable place to sit
Checkin, very clean, good location, very professionally run.
No breakfast options
The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
The beds were uncomfortable, the place v. tired needs a decorate.
Good location - 20 mins walk to city. Clean and comfy.
Everything was as expected, no problems
Friendliness, and attention to detail. lovely breakfasts.
I appreciated the cleanness of the room, overall condition of the furniture, including a very comfortable bed and a decent wifi connection. The location of the hotel is also a plus, as it is within walking distance to the centre and close to a bus stop.
To be honest, I was surprised to notice the staff were rather unfriendly. I needed their assistance a couple of times and even though they were on the premises, I had to wait up to half an hour to draw their attention. Most of the time the landlord would stay locked in his office without answering the phone or the door bell, despite it being in working hours. But nevertheless, what I found most disappointing was that the room was constantly cold. I was accommodated in Cambridge in the beginning of Oct. and I experienced mainly wet and drizzly weather. Both me and other tenants explicitly asked the landlord to turn on the heat, he would do it only twice per day and for 1h max. It was very unpleasant to return to a cold room in such a terrible weather.
We loved the tea & ginger biscuits, they were plenty. The room was tiny and "compact", wifi Internet was very helpful
I had problems to put myself in the bathtub because it was covered with a lawyer of old dirt, probably it didn't see the brush or sponge for months; the towels were smelly and unfresh:(
Owner was very helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable with on site parking. Pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Cambridge with plenty of nearby options for breakfast and other meals
Staff was kind. My bed was great and the WiFi was excellent.
My room and specially the badroom had a musty smell.
Very noisy..They didn't informed us they will have works in the house. Not very professional..
Room looked OK and was clean
Bathroom needed updating to match the room. Noise from other guests was disruptive for me (room next to stairs) but not for my colleagues. Metal bed looked nice but squeaked whenever I turned over!
Unpretentious, everything in the room was as described and clean, with biscuits in the room as well as coffee etc. Shops just nearby across the road.
Comfy bed, good free wifi. They have free parking too, handy for Cambridge as parking in the centre was impossible. Friendly staff, overall good place to stay.
The location was good
No food, dirty room and damp bathroom. Would not recommend at all, not worth what we paid for.
hotel owner was very helpful
Even hotel owner was very helpful and polite; room has moister and distinctive smell that very hard to ignoring. I am rather stay in different place.
