nice and quiet
Facilities are good if you want have time to use the Spa.
Reception staff not friendly. Very expensive for what it is if you just want a room. Not a great location, not near very much.
friendly staff food spa and facilities spacious room
I like every thing about the hotel plus spa. What makes it for me is the Hydro pool
The un-safeness of outside the grounds it was very frightening.
Excellent breakfast with attentive staff.
Having stayed at the hotel some years ago, it is now very tired & in need of some TLC (ie refurbishment in many areas including bedrooms particularly the noisy bathroom extraction fans that can be heard in all neighbouring rooms)
Wallpaper peeling and carpets lifting. Badly needs money spent.
Great staff, had a lovely if short stay.
Room good, bed comfortable.
The breakfast service was not good as we were not using the normal location. Next time I will book room only.
We really enjoyed the spa facilities
The pub wasn't open for meals
Staff friendly and helpful.
Food and beverages overpriced.
freezing cold shower in the morning old worn out decor and facilities in desperate need of investment
Attractive grounds Comfortable bed Friendly staff
Really good location with beautiful surroundings and spa
Staff were not in a hurry at all! We went to the bar where an employee was clearing tables and asked if anyone was serving drinks - we were told they would find someone to which they came back and said they weren't sure where everyone was and he worked in the restuarant not bar so couldn't help. Very odd!
Surprising amount of facilities Great pool and spa Good food at the restaurant
No air con in room meant room was too hot to sleep
Friendly staff in all departments Food in restaurant and service excellent The 'village square' added to the stay we did not realise this when we booked - should be advertised more. Staff in all shops excellent. Hairdressers fitted my wife in at short notice - excellent friendly service
No air conditioning in the room which we did not realise at time of booking
I loved the location and the fact that dogs were allowed to stay. Breakfast was good. I thought it was quite expensive for the standard of room. Gym facilities were great
The rooms were not great, the only rooms that dogs can stay in were in the courtyard section, they were a bit poky and dark and dated, but they were still the same price as the other room types. We had to wait a little while before the room was ready even after the 2pm check in time. The queue for breakfast on our second morning was awful, the restaurant was so busy and no tables were ready etc.
Rooms great. Staff friendly and helpful. Room service and food excellent.
The rooms were very comfortable. Facilities very good. Staff friendly and happy to help.
Lots of cups/glasses lying aroud in corridors on arrival. Breakfast not very good - scrambled egg not nice, sticky tables, exspensive. Noisy at night (first night)until very late a group of young people in hotel running around banging doors, no one seemed to stop them
Location Free Wifi Staff Food Spa
Bed was uncomfortable Very Limited TV Channels
The staff are very friendly efficient and helpful. Anna was very helpful in reception! Good spa facilities and great walks nearby.
The general bedroom furnishing are looking a little tired, it would greatly benefit from an update and a little TLC. It has bags of potential of being a superb hotel. Again! as I am sure it once was.
The spa leisure facilities were really good, loved the heated outdoor infinity pool with the view.
Nice hotel, location, building and leisure facilities
Room smelt musty and double booked our spa treatments so didn't end up getting our treatments
Some maintenance issues
Breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful & pleasant.
The dinner menu in the restaurant was over priced for what was only average quality food & also the bar prices we felt were rather expensive. Consequently we ate & drank elsewhere after the first night.
Spa very good.
Shower in room very poor flow.needs to be improved
