The staff were friendly and the location was lovely
Bedrooms were smaller than I expected. Although the staff were helpful and friendly I felt the whole place was vastly understaffed. We checked in at 4pm and the earliest we could get a table in the restaurant was 9.30. In the morning there was a 20 min wait to be seated.
Staff were friendly Bed was comfy
There was no lock on the bathroom door. The cutlery for the tea making facilities were dirty. The window was full of rain water on the inside of the panes.
pool facilities and parking. dining facilities food and staff were good
poor reception -unhelpful and slow service. arrived 4.30 friday 6th feb only 1 in reception who was rude. difficulty with evening meal timing etc ground floor room -- window 15 yards from car park , no net curtain/blind to provide privacy
The comfort of the bed, the tea and coffee making facility and the hydrotherapy pool was gorgeous and helped heal my broken ankle.
Nothing I didn't like.
Comfortable room, excellent food and lovely shops
pool- nice and clean
key fob had to be reactivated twice to work- bit of a trip back to reception
Excellent service from checking in to checking out, will definitely stay here again
Could not fault hotel the staff are welcoming and friendly especially the spa receptionist...room was well clean and being a head housekeeper I knew what to look for !!! Let's just say if I was auditing the room it would of got 100%
Had a few maintenance issues but nothing serious , no shallow end to the pool for little ones with no arm bands
Finishing check in
The check in was rubbish
very helpful and pleasant staff
Spa and friendly staff
Lovely old building and very immpressive when driving up the driveway.
Very exspensive in the bar & restuarant and the food was quite middle of the road , exspected a much higher standard.
The spa and pool were excellent room was very clean. Price including breakfast and use of spa was good value.
Furnishing, fittings and bathroom very tired almost verging on tatty. Owners need to refurbish .Staff probably get many complaints for which they are not responsible
Location is perfect, loved the idea of the pool / spa
The pool had dirt in, the spa facilities were dated / not in full working order. The showers in the leisure area were mouldy and there was only 1 hairdryer in the ladies dressing area which was working. The room was okay
Very friendly hotel with excellent facilities .breakfast was fab.catered for everyone .staff very friendly an helpful
Initally poor at reception at checking in .
virtually impossible for anyone with mobility issues or prams wi-fi completely failed so music for wedding was ruined after a 30 minute plus delay .quality of beer v poor and too expensive. onsite cafe took 45 mins and only after prompting produced ...cheese on toast !
Hotel very nice, needs a little bit in decorating. Very nice facilities. Food very good with a great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable.
Bit costly the food and drin ks. (non-alcoholic drinks Becks Blue, well OTT) Pity the pub was closed ??????
Room was quiet and well appointed. Location of hotel a bit off the beaten track but in attractive countryside. Food exceeded expectations.
It's not just a hotel but a village experience a wonderful place to stay the spa was great clean has a view of outside it was lovely to feel the cold air whilst in the hotub. None if the bad reviews on here match this place! the room was warm and cosy when we opened the door and comfortable bed nice big room with a country feel. Thankyou for our stay :)
Executive suite. Spa facilities Reception male person was very nice. So was bar staff Serda. and spa staff.
Last Drop always plays on its name and appearance of status. It aims at high end and expensive clients yet is poor. cannot make cheese on toast without getting it wrong. Cheddar cheese on Rustic Bread, came back cheap basement shop cheese on flat warburtons white. Not toasted or cooked on underside. sent back received 3 very small cut off ends of a baton with cheese on top. Attitude remains the same from some staff. Went there as child with working class parents, the response is eye roll, sniff, and up and down look at you as if you are meat or something dog brought in. Same attitude. It is poor quality for money. It loses a lot of trade because of it. Many I spoke to said they know they would get better quality better food and better customer care and attitude if they wen to local pub or local Italian or curry house. If I spend top end prices I expect top end quality, food and attitude. When i sent cheese on toast back I was made to feel they were doing me a begruding favour and condescended to give me a free cup of tea as it would be cold when cheese on toast came back. but it was made quite obvious to me they were doing this as a favour. Not because they wanted to or part of customer care and service i had paid for.
The price of the drinks were astronomical and the bar staff was the worst I've ever come across the breakfast was cold and not freshly cooked
Have been before to two other functions and enjoyed them. This was first time to stay there. rokm was warm and clean. Setting is unusual and quaint .
Snow outside but fire not on in front lobby area, it was freezing to sit in. Shower was very weak. Expensive bar and restaurant. Very short staffed for the large function we were attending there, long wait at both bars and tables not cleared.
The staff and food were excellent and everything in my room worked perfectly. The view from my bedroom especially with the snow was very pretty.
I struggled to find a sofa or chair in the bar with was not stained or looked dirty. Just a little tired for my liking but as an Interior Designer I guess I would say that - seriously it has put me off staying there again.
