We stayed at the hotel as that is where my son's wedding was being held. The location was excellent for this and the organisation and the MC was superb. The staff were warm and polite and helped towards creating a great atmosphere for the occasion. The drinks were a a bit pricey but no more than you would expect.

It is a very nice hotel, very comfortable. The bar prices are very expensive and the menu for the restaurant is very limited but the food was fantastic.

Nice wooden hotel with lots of charm. The air fan extractor in my bathroom was very noisy ! Room 11. I mentioned it at reception. Check if they did anything about it.

Leaving Reserved an upgraded executive room which was clean but basic, doubt it was however worth the additional cost as no recognisable benefit to the room. The curtains to the room were not of sufficient size to cover the window. The staff in the residents bar were unhelpful, I.E. when ased for a hot chocolate we were told "I checked this afternoon and they did not have any" - so we have a hotel with no hot chocolate at 2am in the morning but it was available at breakfast the next morning, where did he check and who are "they"? Breakfast was hardly eidble, the restaurant was a complete shambles in terms of organisation with dirty pots just left on tables and the even those that had been cleared were still not clean. Never stay again!

Me and my husband both enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the last drop hotel. From the first instance we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much for them. The room was big clean and comfy and the leisure and spa facilities where out of this world. Whilst here we enjoyed a romantic couples massage which again was good value for money. The only thing we thought to be expensive was the bar and menu but this was to be expected as it's the same in all hotels. I would have no problem in recommending this hotel and spa to all family and friends. Bar and food menu prices

Location The unhelpfulness of the staff. The rooms are of poor quality with mould growing on the shower curtain and around the bath. There were conwebs on the walls. The cushions on the chair were non existant and when you sat down you were sitting on hard wood. The rooms need upgrading and it appears that they have not been decorated for a number of years. i had stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions many years ago, prior to mercure taking over and the standard was very high then. Pitty its all gone to waste.

A very good 'close' almost family atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff who were ,most of all, super efficient. Being Diabetic I need to often have a bedside drink by the side of my bed of a night, what I didn't like is that first of all the only place that one could get it was from the bar when its open ! And then when it was, the three options I gave were unavailable and/or "not in stock" ?. By that time on a Sunday night there was no option of leaving and going to a local store to get served. Surely a vending machine should be considered with a reasonable stock of selections other than Coca-Cola ? Other than that,I was there to 'recce' for an upcoming wedding reception and will look favorably at the options when the time comes. Not entirely the hotels 'fault' but we were on the same corridor as a 'hen party' I expect and the noise of slamming doors and screeching females was at times very annoying but mercifully it did not extend past 1 am. One other small point, the room (#64) was described as having a "double bed and sofa" ? When in fact it is two single beds pushed together and two easy chairs. It may be pedantic but that is kind of misleading ? In future bookings I will ask very searching and specific questions about any possible confirmations regarding what is actually involved ! And I might add specifically that I do not want to be contacted on any of my addresses and numbers you have been given to validate this booking,I take a very dim view of anyone that should transgress this rule and will do no further business with them. Please do not keep this information or pass it on to other organisations either. I will pursue their source through the mail&telephone preference services. I keep copies of all such requests for this info, including this one. Please respect my wishes and I will be a returning customer.

Location was the only reason we choose this hotel I dont know if the hotel our booking .com were at fault but when we arrived there was only 1 room booked and not the 2 I had booked and had confirmation off even that it was booked was not in my name they took there time and not without a lot of sighing etc to sort it out . they did eventually . but then in the morning after a poor breakfast for the money. We paid and booked out only to return home to find out that we were charged twice for the rooms we booked . all very poor stuff .

I think the hotel could do with a complete refurbishment, it is looking very dated and tired, the room was clean but linoleum on bathroom floors etc is not the norm expected these days. I did like the pool area although the changing rooms were a little austere. Reception was again adequate but did look cold and uninviting. Breakfast was good although should have been for.its 15.50 pound price tag.I Did like the village feel of the place but would have preferred it if the public bar had been open to the olde worlde pub on the site.Car parking was more than adequate. The biggest issue with the courtyard bedrooms is the noise factor. We had a number of events to attend to during our stay which meant we wanted reasonably earlish 10pm bedtimes however as you would expect other residents had later agendas which presented an issue. The construction of the bedrooms in the courtyard area had little to no soundproofing and the wooden walkways to get to the rooms were such that even folks just walking were noisy to the extent that on the Saturday night the disturbance kept us up until 2 am, not residents faults just that the rooms allowed all the noise of folks coming and going to the 30 or so bedrooms to echo and be disturbingly loud. I would if I went again ask for a room elsewhere on the site.

The hotel was lovely being set in it's own little village with shops. It was very homely. The only thing was being told we could not get a dinner reservation until 9.30 pm. My husband is diabetic so needed to eat by 8 pm.

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff I did not like them holding £150 in my bank account which two days after leaving the hotel still has not been released. The room key also stopped working each day necessitating walking back down three floors to reception to have it corrected
