Would have liked a bar to relax in however they did bring drinks to you
We stayed at lastingham grange for our wedding anniversary, and we could not have picked a nicer place, the gardens were beautiful and the hotel had a grand but homely feel. We had a brewery tour booked at cropton and we were planning on walking there and back, however the weather was dreadful. Tom and Bertie kindly offered to transport us there and back. The whole feeling the staff gave us, was that nothing was too much trouble. They treat every guest like they were the only ones staying, a very lovely experience. The food was out of this world aswell, my husband had the most amazing steak. I would gladly go back every year!
Drinks were very expensive.
Wonderful attention to detail
Having to go home.......
Staff could not do enough for us idyllic location will definitely go again
The service was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and afternoon tea a very pleasant surprise.
Nothing - all fantastic!
The way we were treated by the staff throughout our stay. The homeliness of the atmosphere of the hotel and room was brilliant and exactly what we wanted. The old-fashioned nature was perfect and one of the main reasons why we went.
Having to come home!
Friendly, courteous and immaculate service. Excellent food. Quiet peaceful setting. Warm and cosy in mid November.
Nothing. We shall definitely return.
The food was excellent. Peaceful and quiet. Location wonderful - could walk out onto Rosedale Moor, very convenient. The visit to Lastingham Church and famous crypt was superb.
Family Run team Comfort
Old fashioned feel
Cost, it was twice as much as it was worth
Charming, family run hotel. Fabulous garden. Fantastic kippers for breakfast.Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.Perfect setting on the edge of the moors.
Nothing to dislike.
Peaceful, relaxing, looked after beautifully.
Greeted by name, made to feel welcome. Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds, attentive service. Excellent location for exploring the moors.
One of the most peaceful hotels we have ever stayed in, set in rural North Yorkshire on the edge of the North York Moors, with a large and quiet garden. We received a friendly welcome and were well looked after during our stay. The hotel had a very 'old fashioned' feel about it which was delightful, and a welcome contrast to impersonal corporate style hotels so often encountered. The food was very good, and appeared to have been fresh and locally sourced, but fell a little short of gourmet. The wine list was also very good.
Nothing. We could have happily stayed for much longer.
Old world hotel has not changed in many years Gardens are lovely and it even has an assault course S.A.S designed Family that run it are very friendly but not obtrusive.
Service, food, location, attention to detail.
Nothing at all.
