Great location for Marylebone High Street, Baker Street Tube and other London Attractions. Nice size room and lift to the floor I was on (I had a lot of luggage!).
The bed was not comfortable at all...it wasn't a proper mattress in my opinion. The air conditioning wasn't working properly on my first night and I had to ask 3 times before it was sorted. This was at the height of the summer and the heat wave. I was told that they were hoping to refurbish the hotel - it really needs it. The carpets are worn and the bed in my room definitely needed replacing. However, I would stay here again, as the location and value for money was good.
air conditioning didn't work. broken bath. holes in carpet. given a different room from what I booked.
Excellent location, friendly helpful staff. Individual style hotel, good for a short break.
The carpets were a bit tired/dirty as were some of the fixtures and fittings. Could hear heavy footed people upstairs probably due to the age of the building and old floorboards.
Location - superb within easy walking distance to main places in central London - especially great for Regent's Park and Marylebone High St etc Very well appointed suite - clever, modern design which slept 3 people comfortably Great bathroom and good kitchen facilities for overnight stay Staff - excellent - very welcoming and extremely helpful
Location to hospitals Location to park and amenities Location to cosmopolitan Marlebone high street
Rooms very tight for space but what do you expect for the price paid.
The hotel staff were extremely welcoming, and the hotel was well aired. The room was a nice size and the bathroom facilities were great. The hotel is placed on a quiet road, but near to the main streets for easy access to restaurants etc
The hotel's elevator was extremely slow and it stopped before the floor I was sleeping on, so I had to carry my heavy bag up another flight of narrow, spiral stairs. The bed was essentially a futon mattress on an extremely soft and very unsupportive base. For this reason I incurred extreme back pain and had a terrible nights sleep.
Comfortable bed Patio area Good location Fridge
Small for an executive suite Silly glass partition that you have to watch the TV through and actually makes the room feel smaller Crazy shower, although very powerful be prepared to get wet before you can get in
Meant to be highest class of room but no air conditioning as per Booking.com specification. Indeed room had no fittings for aircon. Window ventilation also poor meaning that the bed platform in the duplex room remained very stuffy, almost impossible to sleep as no way of being able to adjust temperature. While previous visit acceptable this will mean that I will not return in future. Care also as the photos do not show actual room decor etc; see other reviewers comments.
I liked dealing upscale and appreciation to my circumstancesn
Staff attentiveness, air conditioning, location
Pictures do not reflect room decor, very 'white washed' and 'ulterian' feel. Room felt like a box.
Small room, but fantastic location for sightseeing etc. Close to Tube, tourist buses and great bars/restaurants. Highly recommend to anyone. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Steps in the room were a challenge !
Very noisy fridge and aircon didnt work.
Great eateries near to the hotel. Close to tube station Black out blinds in the room Large comfortable bed Good use of space in room
Lighting was a little dull in the room Room was next to lift which was a little noisy Room was quite small
Location - central and small restaurants around locally Friendly staff Bed ok Room size was ok
Run down rooms - old furniture and VERY used carpet - basically run down. Bathroom functional, but old. Clean though.
Very kind staff and optimal position in Marylebone close to the Baker Street Underground and at walking distance from Oxford Street.
Small rooms and tight spaces, some outdated furniture, quite different from the pictures on the website. For sure not a 4 stars hotel.
Location was great, very central yet very quiet. The staff were very helpful and personable.
We stayed in the 'executive suite' which was in the eaves. It was in desperate need of refurbishment with scuffed furniture, marked walls and very stained carpets. It looked nothing like the photos on booking.com. We payed £170 per night which was extertionate for the state of the room.
Got a room in the new building across the street from the reception- brightly renovated room, reasonable size.
The room is divided into 2 sections with connecting stairs- bed is on the upper level- unsuitable for even slightly physically challenged guests
The lift was always a problem as we got stuck in it every time we used it. Took 15 mins to get from the room to the front door which was frustrating.
The hotel was clean and bed was comfortable and good location
My hairdryer in the bathroom was getting to hot to hold I ask if they had a spare one I could use they said they would go and look for one ..... No one came back with one or to tell me they hadn't got one so had to go out like a drowned rat and when I told the girl on reception she told me to put a towel round the hairdryer Handel. The hairdryer was so small I would be hard pushed to put a flannel round it can't believe a hotel don't carry a spar one
Great location, fantastic duplex suite room 209 - would definitely stay again when in London. Just round the corner from the popular Chiltern Firehouse and Madame Tussauds!
Good facilities - kitchen well equipped - everything high quality and working. Bathroom small but housed a good sized high quality shower that worked well. Everything seemed very well thought through and designed to worked easily in a small space. Like the patio doors opening out on to a small courtyard with cafe table and chairs.
I guess the room would could have been slightly cramped for two people.
Lovely little terrace to sit on.
My only criticism would be that my room (on the ground floor behind reception) was noisy due to the generator located directly outside the glass door that led to the terrace - it was a constant drone which was pretty loud and annoying.
Staff really helpful and kind. Rooms are big and comfortable. We had a problem with the heating but the staff was really helpful and gave us a new room. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from madame tussauds and underground stations.
Extra charge for breakfast that is a little expensive (but served in bed). The heating was not working properly so the room was really warm, but then they gave us a new room.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was well located with easy access to public transport
The room was small. There is a lift but only to certain floors and managing the stairs with a bag was slightly difficult due to the stairway being narrow
