Not didn't like so much, more of an FYI.... Complimentary tea/coffee is in reception not room. You might need ID. No bathrobes.
Staff, room, location, cost, all great.
22 May 2015
The noise within the building as you can hear people above you or near your room walking or talking .
19 May 2015
The room was a little bit small and bathroom also very small.
Great Location, a ces to bus and metro very fast and staff at reception very nice and helpful
14 May 2015
No atmosphere, minimal staff, I has to wait for 15 minutes outside the door to her in- and was let in by another guest. it was cramped, no sense if space at all. Too expensive for what it is in my opinion.
It was clean.

The lift was built in the 1500's! Its so slow and small. The floor boards in the room weren't level, and the shower was a bit rubbish.
Reception area was great, and the room was unexpected. The room was big, and had suitable lighting. I would stay here again though.

I booked a suite. The furniture was old and extremely uncomfortable. The room was noisy despite having asked for a quiet one. The carpets had stains everywhere and generally it looked like the hotel needed a good clean. The bathroom was dirty and shower barely functional.
The Elemis toiletries and the location

Bed awfull, poor cleaning with dust in the furniture.
Well Location, close to tube, attractions.

The room was tiny; I had to do a three-point-turn to enter the closet where the toilet was located. You have to be a contortionist to access the ironing board and mini safe. There is a mouse in the house.

There was no bathroom privacy, the glass door did not provide no sound protection. Also we were hearing guests from other rooms like they were walking in our own room. No sound protection there either.
The room was clean and the design was nice. Also the staff was very helpful and kind.

Poor internet, very slow.
Loved the location and minimal look.

Fridge very noisy. Need an absorption fridge (no compressor).
Location and ability to eat in

Room 118 on top floor was very hot even through aircon was on constant. Also there is a loud noise ( sounds like an aircon unit ) on top of the building that switches on constant throughout the night that does disturb your sleep. The room looks nice on the pictures, but is in need of re-decorating, the carpets and stained and tired and the water pressure for the shower is very low. The lift was the most entertaining part of our stay, its a complete gamble which floor it will stop at. Whilst mentioning the lift, it doesn't go right to the top, carrying luggage to room 118 up a tight stair way is an adventure.
Free WiFi was good, location OK for Oxford Street and Madame Taussaurds

Unfortunately we had bad experiences with the payment method. We paid with credit card, where I never had any bad experiences with. However the procedure was very old fashioned in this hotel. The hotel asked us to make a copy of the creditcard and on top of this they used the old way of payment - being swiped. After exactly three months after our stay in London (exactly the time, when I was not able anymore to give feedback about the hotel stay), my credit card was used in UK... It can only happened in the hotel because of the low level of credit card security. we sent a message to the hotel and of course they replied that they did not charge us twice, which is correct and that they are very concerned about the credit card security and that they do their utmost to maintain a high level of security. But to summarize - this is not a high level of security, if you ask for copies of the credit cards and in addition to swipe the cards. Therefore I recommend only to pay in cash. Thanks to booking.com for their fast action and that they make it possible that I could evaluate the hotel at a later stage. Kind regards from Germany Sandra
It was a very nice and clean hotel - which was on a quite acceptable standard for UK. The rooms were big enough and the equipment in the room like hairdryer, etc. was available.

Close to Baker st tube and shops
24 March 2015
Very prompt to our needs.
20 March 2015
Quite worn out room-notably the carpets (very rough/uncomfortable), bathroom floor, cupboard doors hanging off hinges and tattered bath towels which were quite off putting to use. Basics that could easily have been avoided.
Design in bedroom nice and location good. Friendly staff.

In the room we stayed in the shower/bath was very tricky to get in and out off, especially when your feet are wet and wouldn't suit an elderly person,
Loved the modern design, layout and feel of the room and the rain forest shower was excellent,.

Bit noisy from the street outside.
Compact but everything you need!! Fabulous thankyou
26 February 2015
TV was old. Remote control doesn't work very well. Bathroom shower accessories are old - need replacing.
Short walk to Baker St tube which has good connection to Oxford St, Piccadilly circus etc. Friendly staff.
26 February 2015
The room had a window open that needed to climb to a table to close it. The window was open to try to ventilate the room as somebody had been smoking one or several cigarretes. It was a very bad experience as sleeping over there was a nightmare. The bed was in a mezzanine, right where the smoke had concentrated. The personal did not seem to care much when I told them the morning after. Internet connection breaks every 2minutes what makes it unusable.

The hotel décor was starting to look tired, the hall carpets were badly stained but this didn't effect our stay in anyway!
The bed was super comfy and the room was great. My 7 year old wanted to live there!
24 February 2015
the room was great the size the feel. I think they should of left some game controls and games
22 February 2015
This hotel claims to be 4 star when it is no more than 2 star
19 February 2015
Whilst in the main it has a modern contemporary feel the hallway/room carpets look tiered and needs a dash of paint here and there, this is being a little picky however. Continental breakfast was an additional charge, taking the cosmetic things into account It's a little pricey in my opinion but then again it's London and you would expect that. Lift is small no good for claustrophobic people.
Especially liked the location, situated right next to Baker St tube station and Madame Tussauds. Hotel is a no hassle pleasant place to stay.
