Very helpful and pleasant owners..... enjoyed staying in a cottage with history! Breakfast served promptly, perfectly acceptable. . Well heated room, lovely towels. . Thank you very much !
Perhaps electric pump a little noisy in en suite? Everything else fine thank you. .
breakfast was excellent. location was fantastic and owners were lovely
en suite was extremely small
Position excellent, friendly welcome and very nice room.
Everything about this b&b was absolutely lovely, especially the hosts and all off the staff. Our room was perfect and the breakfast selection really set you up for the day. Considering the new owners have only had the business for a short while they really have made their mark in what is a very challenging industry. We will certainly be returning.
great place to stay with perfect rooms, great staff and a super breakfast. Very friendly and would stay again and again
Very quirky property clean great location. Staff were very helpful. Will stay again
excellent location, lovely breakfast, enjoyed our stay!
No wifi in our room
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Good central location for Bowness.
No wifi reception in our room. Expected more for price, based on the other guest houses we stayed at in the area.
Excellent location, great breakfast, good room size and cleanliness. I could not rate the owners more highly! They went out of their way to make myself and son welcome. They even gave him a dish of goodies, made our picnic for us and walked us to a restaurant they recommended! Excellent. I have already recommended the b n b to family. Thank you.
Staff friendly and pleasant Clean room plentiful towels small tv and tray for tea etc Hot water ok V central in bowness
Tiny tiny en suite in a box hardly even room to stand in shower prob a 70 x70 shower tray and v little space in box. I struggled as a size 12 to function in that confined space. Clearly layout out of new owners control but really not great e suite for 100 pounds a night. Loo also too into room as consequence Also no residents lounge only 2 rooms for breakfast. so stay confined to small bedroom if not at breakfast 10 am exit policy 7 days a week. Not a worry for 1 night stay but would be v ltd for a longer stay. Overall felt 100 not the right tariff for this b & b. also parking extremely ltd. all parked at rear in long corridor. Not able to extract without moving out other cars. Painful. Shame as new owners & will find these difficult to resolve.
You can't fault where it is you can't get a better location, lovely pub next door, with great food lovely staff all home made food to. Lovely restaurants surrounding
The only bad points is the parking but if you don't plan on moving your car all stay you will be fine. If you do there is a long stay parking a stones throw away
Comfortable beds and local for what I needed.
Comfy bed nice hot shower Quaint house good location
Dark and dowdy room mismatch furnature nothing like the photos
Location Staff very friendly/helpful
Very small bathroom Couldn't connect to internet
The amount of stairs to get to a very small room at the top
Found the room a bit small everything else good
The Staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Position 'A' in the centre of town, yet quiet for sleeping.
Bathroom in need of an update.
location central rooms comfortable + superb breakfast+ owners very kind + nothing was too much trouble
maybe parking facilities but steve will sort it out
location . owners couldn't do enough for you thanks
Laurel Cottage let you feel history with his charm of an old building but still having everything needed these days. It felt cosy and warm inside . Host was very friendly and the breakfast tasteful. Cottage is good location and you can get a parking permit free of charge by request.
The weather at Bowness but for that the accommodation isn't in charge.
all off it
The new owners of just 8 weeks very nice people, and accommodating, breakfast very good New owners going to improve rooms over next months would make a very nice boutique hotel? would come back next year if that was the case.
Smallest room we've ever stayed in, bathroom so small you could not use all facilities properly, stairs very steep, needs a lot of TLC.
Lovely family feel cottage. Perfect location to pubs restaurants shops and lake.
That I have waited this long to visit the lake district.
