Owners very welcoming and friendly. Provided us with umbrellas and power converter (as we lost ours). Great breakfast. Room comfortable and we had everything we needed.
A bit small, the bathroom especially was cramped.

The friendly and warm welcome
Didn't feel it was good value for money
Good cottage, friendly host!
we loved the friendly relaxed atmosphere and the excellent location for touring the area breakfast board in the hall offering the special menu for the next day was another treat!
We enjoyed everything about our weekend at laurel cottage. The room was perfect, bed really comfy and the biscuits were delicious. We came away for a mini honeymoon as we took our children on our main one. We would recommend laurel cottage for a relaxing break. The owners were lovely and put us at ease. The breakfast choice was brilliant and the cooked breakfast was tasty. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
We stayed at this hotel 5th and 6th September for our wedding anniversary. The owners were very friendly and helpful . The breakfast was really good . The location was good very close to Windermere and a short walk to bowness . Would stay at this hotel again .
1. The way they went out of their way to accommodate my wife's dietary needs. 2. The friendliness of the owners making you feel at home immediately. 3. Excellent food. 4. Good location for town. 5 . Four poster bed
Can't think of anything
Lovely big comfy bed, good breakfast, everything we needed..
Room just seemed a bit tatty around the edges, only minor things, bathroom fan was noisy and seemed to stay on forever after the light was turned off..
comfortable rooms, environment, good breakfast
Just about everything. Owners were so nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, with daily specials. Bedroom was a super size. Quilt lovely but just too warm for us.
Nice garden in front of the cottage. Friendly staff. Convenient and quiet location. Spacious room. rotating tv stand, which is useful to adjust tv's facing.
Showroom is a bit small.
The room was amazing Short walk to windermere Great breakfast Helpfull hosts
Limited parking due to public roads
Cosy place pleasant owners and a comfy bed
very clean, good breakfast with special choices, very helpful staff with warm welcome
Very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Plenty of suggestions of what we could do during the stay and fantastic restaurant recommendations.
There was nothing to dislike.
Outside seating .
The cottage was lovely and rooms were very clean and modern. The couple that ran the hotel were lovely and nothing was too much, very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very nice and a great choice. Only a short walk to Windermere and approx a 12 minute walk to Bowness. Would stay here again and recommend.
The owner of the cottage is really friendly and helpful, the cottage is located only 2 mins walk from windermere town centre. And it's really quiet during the night so you can have a really good sleep. Breakfast are freshly prepared every morning depending your choice from the menu.
Wifi sometimes didn't work properly.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Good location. Beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. Splendid meadow right opposite to the house, which is nice for a morning jog.
Location was great. Everything we needed was there for a short stay. The breakfast choice was excellent and the hosts were extremely informative and friendly. We would definitely stay again.
The ironing board was a bit tricky possibly a full size one would have been better.
We liked everything about Laurel Cottage. Are hosts were very helpful and welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was something to behold especially the specials. Would most certainly return in the future.
Nice friendly place and lovely breakfast .
A very good B&B in an excellent location especially in good weather. Easy 5 minutes walk into Windermere and 20 minutes into Bowness. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is varied and plentiful with extra coffee/tea and toast on request.
As someone who is use to hotels and bigger B&B's I missed having a communal bar area to sit in the later evening. For this reason I would not choose this type of B&B during the winter months as the only place to go would be the dinning room or bedroom. What I see as 'lack of facilities' is not reflected in the price.
Everything was perfect.
