Fredericka the owner was very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the garden room, no 9 and cannot fault the room at all. The room was very clean and comfy and perfect! The rest of the lodge was very appealing and welcoming. The choice for breakfast was very good and Emma who served breakfast was very pleasant and approachable. The location was perfect and we easily walked into the centre in 15 minutes. There are some nice little shops and places to eat local to the Lodge and very convenient. There was also parking available and the spaces are big enough for all sizes of cars. We really cannot fault anything about our stay at all and would most definitely stay there again and recommend to others too.
On bus route to Chester centre an d Liverpool ciy centre .good food outlets nearby.
Fresh fruit at breakfast. Very clean and well presented.
Lovely breakfast, really friendly staff.
Bedroom did not have ensuite - and smelt a little stale, could have done with airing maybe's
Had a really good stay at Lavender Lodge! The owners are very kind & breakfast was lovely!
Our room was double booked although we had booked weeks in advance. Landlady informed us on arrival but should have informed us in advance to allow us to make alternative arrangements. We were forced into taking her alternative arrangements because of the double booking. We are very disappointed and This treatment is unacceptable. We feel that compensation is due.
Little extras like supplying bath robes Breakfasts delicious with fresh fruit and lovely bread Free wifi Very clean and fresh smelling
Friendly staff, spotlessly clean everywhere, excellent wifi (stay logged in all the time) and lovely breakfast cooked to order.
Nothing at all - next time we're in the area we'll definitely stay here again
Warm, comfortable, great breakfast, friendly staff, fast wifi, good location, off road parking.
I wasn't able to sleep comfortably on the bed, my wife was fine though so maybe it was just me?
Friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, thoughtful details like cotton pads, cotton buds and toiletries in the bathroom. The delicious breakfast (I particularly appreciated the fresh berries) was served at beautifully set tables.
The room was a bit small
The lodge was very clean and the owner was friendly and went out of her way to make sure my daughter and I were made welcome.
There was nothing we didn't like!
B&B aplenty in this neighborhood. However the attentive owners made my visit excellent. Hot breakfast on my schedule. Personal service like using their clothes dryer made my trip more civilized.
Ensuite bath was small but functional. Lacy pillow covers and floral patterns are a bit dated.
Easy access to Chester, great breakfast.
Not having ensuite bathroom( but we did know this when we booked). Positioned on a busy road so quite a bit of traffic noise.
Warm clean comfortable room good location friendly staff!
Was in a fantastic location, very clean with extras in the room.breakfast was excellent with everything you ask for with lovely fruit
Was in a room next to a you child who cried all night so only had 2 hours sleep
Very attentive and accommodating
Lavender lodge,is small quiet b&b ,in a great location. 15 min walk to Chester town centre. 5min drive to race course . 10 mins to zoo. Very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.
Good sized twin/family room Cleanliness = high standards Good breakfast Warm welcome Extra touches = bathroom essentials Easily accessible for Chester, the Zoo, Cheshire Oaks (bus stop close by or by car) Hoole village = choice of good quality eating places with easy walk to/from Lavender Lodge Enjoyed our stay & will return
Location was excellent it was only about a 10 minute walk into the city. Also local pubs were very good. The guest house was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would deffently stay again. Many thanks
Location, Staff and Breakfasts.
Very friendly owner. The room was clean and good equiped. All good, thanks!
Very welcoming & accommodating as we got stuck in traffic & arrived after check in time. Easy walk into the centre of Chester & a good base for exploring. Hoole was a nice area too.
The fan in the communal bathroom next door was very noisy, as was the heating that woke us up early both mornings. Was a bit odd to have to share a table for 4 with another couple for breakfast, would have expected to at least have our own table for 2. Breakfast service was also pretty early for a weekend with it only served between 8.30 to 9am.
Breakfast was plentiful.
On arrival our intro into the property was hurried with no attempt to find out why we were in Chester so no help readily given re directions etc. Wifi did not work in our room, previous reviews mention this issue which has obviously not been addressed . Our room was very cramped with no full length wardrobe which was very awkward for hanging dresses and no ironing facilities to compensate.. All in all no tworth the rate we paid
Comfy bed .Shower room excellent .
Car parking was tricky
