Offered a room overlooking a bar with a huge party going on. I was so close I could have served drinks from my minibar. Not what I was looking for at 10p.m. after a long flight. Did manage to get the room changed but generally the hotel is very old and poor compared to some much better modern hotels all at a similar price. Surprising for an SPG member hotel. Overall, very poor experience.
Location is perfect, reception staff are kind and professional.
It needs a renovation. Breakfast at The Terrace is not what you´d expect from an hotel of this category.
Breakfast included and buffet is sufficient. Service can be quicker.
Bathrooms are a bit old. There are no shoehorns in the room.
I was woken up by a call from the front desk at 1:00am just for a stupid question "have you booked once or twice"... I applied the HRG membership at the front desk. The staff input my gender wrongly and I had to make several calls to fix it... The business center does not have a clear sign to guide you there. It is hidden underground in a very narrow place behind several doors. Looks like a ghost house. And no one was there when I got there...
I'm an spg member so I got a great service all the time with spg partners, close to tube station coffee shops resturantin everything the staffs are nice too
The room was much too cold no possibility to warm it up !!!
Excellent location I think the bar area was best downstairs prices were very expensive.apart from that it was good
I wish we were told that there was a private party going on in downstairs bar at night
The central location was perfect for the theatre and the Terrace Bar and Grill was outstanding - food and service.
An abrasive member of recptions staff - not a good start!
The location is really great and the staff very helpful especially the reception and the concierge .
The hotel a bet pricy for the serveces and facilities offered .
We call for water bottles and no one turned up . poor response on reception.
General presentation of the room and hotel in general was good
Room was unlucky next to a noisy ac unit
The staff was helpful in mitigating the hotels vast shortcomings
the food was terrible the suite they booked me had a view of a brick wall and the sound track of a a/c unit, not to mention this was equally as expensive as suites at other hotels in the area that i know to be much much more adequate. I asked to move and was eventually moved into a different suite with decent space but a layout that was completely inaccurate for a suite.
top class staff and location
no walk-in shower facilities and noise from extraneous sources eg voices from adjoining rooms and plumbing system were an issue
Location Sunday brunch
Room decor, furniture, carpet, curtains etc were old and scruffy for the room cost
Lovely hotel in an excellent location.
The man on the door greeted us on arrival and helped us park the car in the hotel car park. The car park was difficult to find and very small but at least we were able to safely park in the centre of London on a Saturday night
We arrived in the bar at 10:30pm after seeing a show in town and wanted a snack. The lady serving in the bar said no because there were other non-residents in the bar and if she served us snacks they might also want to order. Food service finished at 10:30pm. We went to bed instead
Room was right next to the elevator so sleeping was tough..
location and staff
Hotel needs a refurbishment, and is very expensive
The way in which my concerns were handled and the impression that they clearly wanted to make my stay perfect following a few shortcomings. Pool is lovely. Excellent concierge
Service in restaurant Having to keep asking for things to be replenished in restaurant at breakfast. Sometimes lack of attention to detail and staff working in disorganised manner.
Ideally positioned Great breakfast Complimentary wifi Kind staff.
Hard to find the way back down to the entrance when using the staircase! Unstable tables in the breakfast room.
The bed sheet was not changed for whole stay
Almost Every thing am disappointed
location overall staff service
not easy to park in front of hotel one concierge person was not friendly bathroom small check in takes too long and room ready too late non availability of power sockets next to bed (for phone/ipad etc )
