Le Monde Hotel  

Outstanding Hotel. Excelent accomodations, services, staff and giving attention to details with the customers. The price worth it!

Staff were polite and friendly. Bar and restaurant were excellent.

My only disappointment was the room. It was meant to be a Dublin theme. Having spent time in Dublin itself I wasnt impressed. I dont think much thought went into it.

Lots of noise from bars / glass bins outside many of the rooms between 12 and 2 am - don't stay here if you want a quiet night

I liked everything about Le monde from the hotel room we were given to the lovely friendly staff. my boyfriend proposed to me on the morning of our trip to Edinburgh and the staff at Le monde were happy for us and gave us a free upgrade to a Junior suite which was amazing. The room was absolutely gorgeous. After a busy day traveling down to Edinburgh we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant and the food was reasonably priced but tasted amazing. After that we went back to our room when we were surprised with 2 glasses of champagne compliments of the hotel for our engagement. Our overall stay was amazing and I have recommended Le monde to all of my family and friends. We are certainly going to stay at Le monde again when we return to Edinburgh this year.

I liked the fact it was very modern, it was a great central location and the staff were all really friendly. The price was very competitive for a central 4 star hotel, really and truly excellent value for money and we would certainly stay here again and recommend to everyone. The breakfast was lovely too with a good choice to choose from.

EVERYTHING

On arriving the staff made you feel very welcome, couldn't have done anything else for us. They were amazing. The room itself was beautiful and clean. Everything was explained and the personalised welcome letter was a very nice touch and I really liked it. The food was great as well, had breakfast both days and an evening meal and they were fantastic. Great location for visiting Edinburgh, within walking distance to all the shops and if you need transport the staff were more than happy to organise that for you.

Only downside to it was the lack of a view, but due to being in the city centre this was expected.

Friendliness of the staff. Decor of the room ....I stayed in Barcelona

5 am wake up call of the Dome next door emptiying it's beer bottles from night before into bins for a solid half hour. This however is a by- product of a city centre hotel very close to it's own and other bars/restaurants. The room was very nicely decorated, but a bit on the small side considering the price paid. My impresssion is that they are still making the finishing touches to the re-fit as there were quite a few workmen about.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean.

The restaurant didnt really have the right ambiance In was looking for to have a nice romantic dinner with my girlfriend, our table was too close to the bar, although maybe I should of asked to been moved. The wine I had asked for was on the table great, but I had to pour it myself which I thought was unusual. My girlfriends dinner was not great it looked like a steak pie and was a bit slimy. The starter was okay but the prawns and calimari were a little on the small side. The desert was the best part of the meal thumbs up! The waiter who served us was very pleasant. Would I recommend it to a friend probably not. But maybe it was a bad experience for us and we were just unlucky on the night.

I loved the boutique decor in the whole hotel, great room design, friendly staff, excellent central location, free drink and entry to hotels club a nice touch, room service food really nice, overall great value for money too.

Very sexy chic original hotel...the Tokyo suite bathroom was gorgeous....staff were very friendly and helpful.....bit pricey but worth it.

Thin walls!

The hotel is fantastic and we stayed in the Atlantis room. Would happily return in the future.
