Score from 1236 reviews Very good
I liked the location of this hotel, staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was pretty good for one person and I liked the standard of the room and bed. Two things I will say is that walls seem to be thin as I was rudely awaken at 5am by a couple next door 'canoodling' and I know thats not the hotels fault but, thin walls. Also, the bathroom made a loud, weird sound when I flushed the toilet or ran the tap/shower. But other than that my stay was very nice!
Nice location on Canal Street not far from Piccadilly Gardens. Didn't hear any noise from the bars. Very cosy and warm. Bathroom very good. TV was fine too.
Room was cramped but this was a converted house, which means the walk to breakfast was a bit far from the hotel.
I would definetley stay at this hotel again great price great value for money staff wer great
The hotel is right in the midst of the village so a great location if you are intending to go out to the bars and clubs. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the complementary muffin was just the ticket after an evening enjoying a few glasses of wine in the local bars. I stayed in an economy double room in the basement which was small, but I expected this from the description on the website. However, it had all I needed, bed, telly, shower and tea/coffee making faciliies. It was clean and the bed in particular was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
The only real downside for me was the plumbing which was a bit noisy due to the sani-flow system in use.
close to city centre
very small rooms no restaurant no facilities
Its a nice place to stay, very close to shops and town, bars and clubs. Great and professional staff. Breakfast just around the corner in the Olive Deli was wonderful too. Will definitely return here if we come back to Manchester as we had really good time. Free WiFi it's a plus.
Close to all facilities. Bars restaurants and night life. Room were soundproofed so we didn't get any noise from outside on the busy street.
Room Cleaniness Window View Tv Free Wifi
Shower Controls Window didnt fully close No bin in room.
Excellent location excellent staff. Enjoyable stay. Value for money at the reduced rate.
Noisy of the evening if your not a late night party person. Mattress had seen better days.
The location, within easy reach of the city centre, friendliness of staff and comfort.Great for an overnight stay.
location of our room, shower hose full of grime. The breakfast was lovely but you only got brown bread which doesn't always suit everyone. Some guests received wine but we didn't.
Bathroom was lovely.
Size of the room and bed.
Right in the heart of the gay village, staff couldn't be anymore tentative, friendly and welcoming, definately recommend
location - price
off site brekky
Good location - short walk from station and shops. Rooms were nice, clean and well maintained. Great service.
Hairdryer was old fashioned and attached to wall at knee level!
Shower and bathroom taps both faulty
Location, close to rail station and cbd.
A bit small, a couple would find the rooms a bit tight but they may have bigger rooms as I was a solo traveller.
Very comfortable, v clean rooms-clean seems to be a byword in the whole place Breakfast 50yards away sound odd but was nice and quirky and v nice staff there too Would go back- it's v clean, comfortable and central...not a 5* palace but does its job v well at reasonable cost...and the staff at top notch
It's a tad 'compact' but works fine I had a basement 'economy' room and the WC/shower pump was a bit disconcerting initially The room was also at sub street level-couldn't see out - but overall Saturday night noise wasn't really an issue for me but might be for v picky travellers
The staff were friendly and the place was neat and tidy.
Very noisy area, you will need more than ear plugs to sleep on a weekend.
location very clean
no restaurant no bar breakfast was at a deli nearby with limit on what you can have very small room
-Hotel in the city centre very close to the Piccadilly Station -Staff was very very nice and polite - The room wasn't big but enough and you have everything what you need I'll be back in Manchester soon and I will book this hotel again
Wifi was very very slow (in my room) but it wasn't a problem for me because I didn't need it much
breakfast was nice
Small rooms had to walk to a cafe for breakfast noise in the early hours from local clubs ( but should've realised when booking the close proximity to the clubs)
Loved the fact the hotel provided a balloon in the room on request.
Did not like: • stains on the wall • lumpy bed • wafer thin walls & doors. • how small the room actually were! • breakfast included... Not on site! Take a walk to find your breakfast! Given the night we had, we avoided!
Room 15, literally right on the street, and as the hotel is situated on a busy bar street I couldn't get to sleep until 3am because I felt like the punters were in my room with me! Far too loud.
