Pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely swimming pool and health club facilities. Restrictions on times that children could use the swimming pool.

This is not a 4 star!!! It looks like a Premier Inn or any other budget hotel. The cooked breakfast is an absolute rip off at £13 each and it was cold. Don't even try to get a treatment in the spa as it's tiny and we couldn't even get one half hour treatment - I also stood waiting for 3 minutes at the spa desk while the girl behind painted her nails and ignored me!!! The only plus side to this hotel is that the reception staff are lovely but it's not a luxury stay by any means. I won't be staying there again. The bathroom has mould on the tiles and was v shabby.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the whole place was very clean and tidy, including pool and spa areas. Breakfast was also fantastic! Overall a really good place to stay with my partner during our visit to Birmingham and the surrounding areas. The swimming pool and health facilities were far too busy and noisy to be able to fully relax. It seemed as though memberships had been handed out for free! In my opinion places like that should be extremely selective over the number of memberships available and who gets one, and keep them fairly expensive, so as to ensure a high standard is preserved for hotel users as well as private members. This was far from the case. There were plenty of youngsters (teens to early twenties) making plenty of noise! Not very relaxing!!

Cheerful, friendly and helpful staff. Food was excellent. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi clean and tidy and a good size. Bathroom dated - needs modernising. Gym small, dated and not enough machines and free weights.

The hotel was ideally located for everything that we needed. Gym facilities were fine. We didn't mind that there were kids in the pool - don't believe this is an issue that should be flagged as a negative. Our room was lovely too - great shower

friendly helpfull staff , great food, great spa . lot of noise from other guests, slamming doors ,shouting, my wife had to ring reception to tell them some parents had gone out and left their baby and young child alone crying in the room next door, then when the duty manager arrived my wife pointed out the room and explained how long the baby had been screaming....she didn't even get a thankyou ! ! !...food in the bar and resturant was very overpriced....i've stayed in 5star hotels and paid less...

The reception area is very poor and and appears to be a one or Two star Hotel at check-in but once past that, the hotel is fine. There are many places to sit and relax in addition to an excellent spa and gym. The bar can sometimes be understaffed

I thought recent refurbishment of bedrooms was very good taste and comfortable. Lovely bed linen. Bathrooms and lighting very good...important for make up! Staff were very helpful and pleasant.good atmosphere. Carpets need to come up to scratch to standard of refurb. No instuction as to; reading switch under wall lights, remote for ipod docking system is on general remote...no info there and how to unplug in bathroom sink! Quality of breakfast good except for bacon...very undercooked and the poor toasting system...both too slow and too low, had to put bread through twice....then queues for the breakfast or breakfast going cold! Towards the end of service which due to the fact it being sunday most people came in to eat towards 10 most of the food had run out. Smoking area right by front reception...maybe relocate in open area by glass function room?
