Excellent location. Stayed in abbotsford room, it was very nice. Perfect hotel for a stop over in the city. Staff very helpful.
Clean spacious up to date room
Location of hotel Staff very nice
Lack of normal facilities in room As in tea stand on bottom shelf very unsafe and no hooks or towel rails Floors not very well hoovered or clean Pretty basic
Excellent location - minutes from the centre and main transport lines. Room was clean and comfortable and staff very welcoming, friendly and discreet. Would definitely recommend to others and would book again for future trips to the city.
I spent the weekend with my cousine in Edinbrugh coming from London by Coach. The station is just in front of the hotel all you need is cross the road. We arrived at 8am which was very early for the checkin (as expected) but our receptionist told us with a smile that our room is not available yet and suggested to keep our luggage and took our phone num to call us as soon as our room is ready. After a nice morning tour in Edinbrough center we could check in and our room was large and clean with a nice view all over the city.. my cousine jumped into the bath tube to forget about our long and tiring trip by coach while I was adjusting the heat in the room and preparing tea.. our night was just perfect since the hotel was absolutely calm and the beds very comfortable.. which is important to start a new day (above all that we had to catch our mini van to Loch Ness tour which was once again very practicle since we were less than 10 mn walk from the place..) And since our check out was again earlier than usual, we've been asked to leave our luggage inside the room and drop the key card in the box and they will make sure our luggage will be ready for our return from the tour around 8pm. That was just perfect for us since we had time to have dinner and change our clothes before picking up our luggage and jump to the coach station coming back to London ! Once again, our receptionist (I think this time was the owner) was nice and welcoming us and hoping we enjoyed our stay in his hotel which was affirmative !
For 24h.. nothing to report !
Welcoming staff. Very comfortable bed. Additional cost for continental breakfast was excellent value - good range available the buffet. Close to good shops and galleries as well as bus and train stations.
Disappointed that there was only one bedside lamp and no chair in our double room.
Very close to princess street and tram line right outside hotel which went directly to and from airport
Location brilliant - just round the corner from the St James Shopping Centre, bus station, Princes Street and theatre. Friendly welcome from staff, bedroom good size for two - and we were given the two single beds we asked for. Bathroom was fine, although water did run hot and cold during shower. Didn't go into the bar for a drink, but it looked nice.
City centre location. Pet friendly.
Too noisy at night. We would ask for a room at the back of the building next time.
Great location easy walk to old Edinburgh.Clean & comfortable.Nice little bar& friendly very helpful staff.Off street parking tight but appreciated.
Not a thing
Very convenient for all attractions such as shopping, monuments and transport. Proximity of the new tram line was a particular plus point!
Nice room and comfortable stay
I stayed in the Linlithgow Room, first floor at the back. The staff (young girl behind bar and young cleaner) were lovely and very helpful. The bed was really comfortable, the location is unbeatable - whether you arrive from the Airport, bus or train station. Fantastic view over the city and beyond to Fife. Lovely High ceilings and floor to ceiling drapes... and a bath which I particularly wanted.
The bathroom had long-term grime in corners on floor - there was dust anywhere that required moving something to clean behind. The water only came out of the shower and wouldn't come out of taps so had to fill bath with shower head - which was fine, it worked. Apparently the bathroom is due to be upgraded so this room may be budget priced because of that. The T.V. was very small and (just a minor point) had no radio channels and I prefer the radio in the morning, and the WiFi didn't work so I couldn't listen on my laptop. I didn't have time to go downstairs and discuss the WiFi issue so I didn't get to the bottom of that. I still enjoyed my stay and at that price, and with the bath, I would stay again.
The location, just next to the coach station and the nice and dedicated hotel team.
Wi-fi just worked whith only one cel phone per time, but there were two guets at room.
Location , staff
view from room comfortable firm bed. excellent location for buses, trams, theatre,
the stairs were very steep but to be fair it is a townhouse.
CLOSE TO ALL AMENITIES IN HEART OF CITY CENTRE. GOOD VIEW FROM BEDROOM.
Entrance to hotel ok. Going upstairs carpet dirty, walls needed painted. In IPA room bedroom ok. Bathroom needs a lot of maintenance. Ok for 1 night but would not go back and would not recommend to friend.
comfortable big beds clean room wifi friendly staff quick check in
the trams ding ding
location, staff, spacious rooms, beds, clean,
No minibar, quite noisy during the night.
nice big building rooms good size for what we needed clean and bright
there was no food available either for breakfast or evening so as a result we had to dress and go look for somewhere before theatre show. i think if food was available it would attract more customers even in a bed and breakfast booking
Good location friendly staff clean room
Small room,small bed,noise from other rooms,poor wi-fi,no lift,no worth the money
The staff were friendly and helpful.
As there was no catering whatsoever, I would have expected a fridge in the room so you could buy and store some fresh food items.
