Food and service in the bar area was very good
No hot water in the morning to shave, had to boil the kettle. Top of kettle is broken and suggest needs replacing
Well kept hotel, clean, friendly staff, good food
Stayed in room 1, executive suite, excellent apart from the fact that the 2 nights we stayed there, they had party nights on and we could not get to sleep for the noise of the music, was ok whemn they stopped playing at 1am
Upgraded the room which was excellent plus prices in the restaurant and bar were good
appeared to be an airlock from the sink as the water was spluttering out plus a few cobwebs from the ceiling in the bedroom
Location and large car park
Hotel is a bit dated
I liked the politeness and friendliness of staff. The choice of food and drink. The bar prices, perhaps this was as I live near London and we pay more for almost everything, overall very satisfied
The only negative for us was the steps in bathroom, 1st one as you open door the 2nd a bit away from 1st. The notice on door I think says mind the step, should say steps as once you go down 1st you are unprepared for 2nd one which is quite a bit higher. During the night getting up in dark it is quite dangerous in my opinion, otherwise great stay, would certainly use hotel again
Room was great! Separate sittingroom with fridge,T.V and tea/coffee making facilities.Breakfast was excellent with plenty choice. We stayed at a hotel the previous week at £120(reduced rate!) and everything was inferior to The Leapark!
Bar food was lovely.
Multiple problems with the cleanliness of multiple rooms. Disgusting. Staff didn't do much to help when we were unhappy. Even after complaining to manager the room was 'cleaned' and was still dirty and they thought a complimentary bottle of wine would fix everything.
friendliness of staff lovely soft bed great breakfast lots of space in room
we were not too good at using the electronic doors. probably our fault
The food was brilliant.
The room temperature was too high.
Staff, food and comfort
If you are late into the breakfast buffet it is rather tired and dry looking, especially on Sundays
everything room food staff will stay again and the price good
nothing all good
The food was excellent and the rooms comfortable. The staff was polite and friendly.
The first night I did'nt get much sleep because of a noisy air conditioning machine outside the window. I complained and was moved without any fuss. This was the only problem I had.
The hotel staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. When guests walked past the reception, they never even nodded or greeted. We asked two separate persons about playing golf and the first one told us to go look it on the internet and the second one had absolutely no idea about golf courses nearby. Finally she managed to pull some information from her computer but instead of serving the guests, she just gave us the number. We found this whole experience totally unbelievable in Scotland (the homeland of golf) and especially as we later found out there were various golf courses nearby. The rooms were not very clean, there was lots of dust on the floors and apparentely the maid had even changed our sheets but instead just made the beds up with the old ones. The room had an ancient TV with bad picture quality and the bathroom wasn't very practical. The location of the hotel is not very good as there is pretty nothing around it other than residential area. The hotel restaurant served low-quality food and the breakfast was a bit better but not very pleasant experience as for example the juiced were served from plastic Bacardi jugs etc. Not a good experience and I would strongly recommend looking at other hotels. I have absolutely no idea how Leapark has managed to receive four stars. I would rate it 2-3 stars.
Room size and comfortable beds
Noise from busy road
The reception and waitress staff were extremely friendly and very efficient
The refurbished bathrooms were very good & the bar food was acceptable
The hotel gives the feeling of being very tired & some staff members lack the skills required to assist clients. Even with this being Ryder Cup week the prices charged did not reflect on the service given
Receptionist was friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. Room was clean but slightly dated in decor. Jacuzzi in the bathroom was a nice surprise and bed was comfortable.
Air conditioning in the room didn't work. Breakfast was being cleared away before end of breakfast service. We had to order our breakfast when it was supposed to be a buffet. Food quality was poor, very greasy and came out in dribs and drabs.
Bed and breakfast were very good
The public areas are very nioe and staff very pleasant.
Bedroom a bit cramped and bathroom "tired".
One member of staff who was on breakfast on Tuesday morning 2/9/2014 I do not know her name but it was NOT Cathie I am sure that you will be able to work it out. While I am happy to make you aware of the situation I do not necessarily want it publicised to all and sundry.
Pleasant bar staff, friendly and attentive. Location was ideal and central for my requirements.
Paid for executive double room, allocated what appeared to be a standard double room, similar to my friends. Sunday receptionist abrupt and confirmed both rooms were the same. If so why the differing price. Room furniture (headboard, bedside tables, picture frame, door panelling ledges, back of TV ) very dusty and had not been dusted for quite sometime. No shaver socket (although hotel did provide adaptor). No biscuit to go with tea making facility. Breakfast buffet was limited at 0915 after bus tour guests were catered for.
Nice big room Friendly staff Comfortable bed Good breakfast
Room decor was dated. Television was very 20th century, definitely needs updating Room from my room (35 I think) was grim.
The restaurant and bar staff are really helpful and the food is excellent and very good value. After complaining about our room we were moved on day 2 to Room 21 which was much quieter, comfortable and with an easier to use tv!
Initially we were in Room 1 where unfortunately there was a noisy airconditioning unit directly outside our window. We could not shut the window as the catch was broken and lying on the windowsill. We had to contact reception to get it fixed. By the time a maintenance man arrived we found one of the television screens was frozen and wouldn't respond to any remote controls. Then the other tv wouldn't change channels. After efforts of both the maintenance man and a manager we eventually got one tv to work if you remembered to use the correct control - just too complicated and as we were visiting for the Commonwealth Games we wanted to watch it!
Very good over all
Noisy room at the back of the the hotel as equipment was running all night
