The location It was freezing cold. Apparently, the heating had been switched to 'summer' despite the fact that it was still freezing cold and lashing down with rain. I tried to phone down for more quilts, but the phone wasn't working. Consoled myself by watching TV wrapped up in duvet, but only two stations worked on the TV.

The breakfast and breakfast room was lovely. The rooms were a little dated in decor.

The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and departure. Very nice to be able to book a castle at a reasonable price. A lovely treat for my Mum in her eighties going back to the Wirral were she grew up. Service at breakfast was a little slow getting our eggs. Shouldn't really have been for the number of guests in the room. Would have been nice to have the breakfast room facing the sea.

The place is magical for a wedding, the food was the best I've ever had at a wedding, and the staff could not have been more helpful. I did not hear one complaint about the hotel from any of the wedding guests. The castle is over 500 years old so there is bound to be the odd problem with the lift and stairs and the size of rooms but the overall experience was fantastic. We were lucky enough to have a room with a sea view overlooking the golf course. Small lift, lots of stairs

The location. The shower in room 32, could not control the temperature of the shower. It went hot then cold and was very hard to get a happy medium, also it kept falling out of its bracket.

Peaceful area, spacious grounds, very very very nice brecky, staff service faultless, staff very helpful when questioned. Generally pleasant atmosphere all round. I will and have recomended leasowe castle to others I know who would appreciate and respect the hotel and surroundings. 1- unfortunately refurbishments were going on which were done I know with concern for residents but power drills and saws at 9.30 surprised me and irked me a little as I did require rest. 2- I think more attention should be given to the litter collecting in the outer grounds areas againt the rough ground bank by old wall. 3- no jd available for 3 days. Sad. Ha ha 4- could I suggest a small rain protected area for those smokers who havent kicked the habit yet and people like my wife who have dissabilities that slow them down.

Not a lot! We booked 4 rooms for a stay with friends while visiting the Grand National this year. We received a very frosty welcome on arrival from a surly receptionist and no room to store our baggage. Unfortunately, we decided to dine at the hotel following our day out. The meal was a complete disaster. The staff were sparse and disinterested and blamed the poor service on the 2 weddings being hosted in the hotel that night. We were finally served our meals 2 hours after we sat down, and only wish it had been worth the wait. We had been promised that our rooms would not be affected by the weddings but this was not the case, with our friends having to complain about noise several times. It did not show Wirral in a very good light and we emerge massively disappointed.

Although the castle is "dated in decoration" it was a lovely Castle and am planning to come back. There was one wedding on our first night and two on our second night and they were still partying after 1am - did not make for a good nights sleep. Would like to know next time if there is a wedding on as would consider alternative accommodation due to noise.

View - overlooking golf course/ sea Parking - plenty of it Breakfast - plenty of it T & C making facilities - very good selection Good drawer and hanging space. Staff - reception told us that we hadn't paid and continued to tell us it was our problem and not their fault, until we provided the receipt! We also complained about one of our rooms, as it was significantly smaller than the others and very noisy. They didn't even apologise, just said there's nothing the they can do. Bar staff to busy talking, to serve. Room - mould on the bathroom ceiling. Bad mattresses. Bad water pressure. One of our 3 rooms was very small. Hot and cold shower.

The efficient way everyone dealt with a busy weekend of weddings (our son was one of them) and you didn't feel in anyone's way. The food was excellent in the restaurant and at the wedding.

Location Quality of room was poor, I am sure better rooms existed. Particularly disappointed that this room was poor but was an upgraded room!! I would not want to see a standard room. It was upgraded to be a sea view. This was a stretch of the imagination, the room was located at the side of the hotel so was a beach view not a seaview. The room had damp on the walls, wallpaper peeling of and bathroom tiles cracked in many places. It badly needed an update and from a 'castle' location expected much more.

The staff were very friendly and happy to help . Food was very good and for the price of the room to get breakfast thrown in evening meal and free wine was very good value . a mistake was made charging an extra bottle of wine we had at dinner which we mentioned we hadn't paid for on leaving the staff thanked us for our honesty and didnt charge us as there was an error made at the the but was put right I was impressed with this Showers but bit small , could paid attention to a spot of mould in places . Beds could be upgraded for comfort Dinning room music was left in all night , as this was on a loop the speaker vibration became annoying , however once mentioned staff sorted this out

Had a great stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location next to the sea front and 15 minute walk from the station. The breakfast was excellent, the best I've had at a hotel. Rooms were great with good sea views, comfy bed, tv and tea and coffee facilities. Really recommend. Couldnt find any fault
