This unique French-Japanese guesthouse is family-run, cozy and homey, about a 10 minute walk from the center of town and 15 minutes from Hastings Beach. The fun and relaxed Le Chateau Japonais offers indulgent, deep Jacuzzi baths in each room's private bathroom. There is an outdoor, heated Japanese-style spa pool (Rotenburo), made of natural river rocks. At night you can float and relax in the warm water, with a view of the stars. Beauport Park Golf Course, in St Leonards-on-Sea, and Sedlescombe Golf Club are less than 10 minutes from the guesthouse. Hotel Rooms: 7 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 07:09 from Denmark.

I had high expectations given the positive reviews. In reality however, and rather unfortunately, its nothing more than a rather basic guest house with a loo that blows hot air and a deep (but not broad) bubble bath. The furnishing were tired, paint chipped form the walls, a very basic TV with freeview and little contact from the management who simply took payment when I arrived and told me to see myself out - a very lazy approach to managing a boutique B&B/ Hotel. At £99 without breakfast its was both dissapointing and expensive compared to better options nearby.

Very unusual blend of french and japanese styles, beautiful carved furniture, luxury heated, bidet toilet, large spa bath in en-suite and the best bit was swimmimg in their hot rock pool under the stars. Staff very friendly and helful. All round alovely stay, wish we could have stayed longer. They also offer massages, but we didn't have the time to try these, but will next time. Also the price was very cheap considering all the facilities

The pool as fantastic, as was the decor of the rooms, with the Japanese theme throughout. Breakfast was very simple, 1 slice of toast and half an apple danish, with two choices of cereal available. Coffee machine wasn't working while we were there though was fixed.

The b&b was a lovely treat coming from busy London it was a lovely treat to just relax here for two days. The spa baths are amazing , watch tv while your in the bubbles also the heated rock pool outside is a absolute treat do hot and can drink and look up at the stars. We were a young couple of 23 it was perfect if you want complete relaxation as it not a busy place !!!

Staff friendly room very comfy. Loved Japanese spa bath in room. Quirky French furniture made the rooms special. Hotel very relaxed asked what time we required breakfast instead of being told what time . Would definitely go back Although not a huge problem we pre arranged arrival at hotel for extra cost but staff unable to hear bell so waited twenty mins to get entry . Staff aplogetic and we were not charged ore arranged fee for late arrival . Would not deter me from booking again

The friendly, no fuss welcome. Very comfortable room with exceptional bathroom which included a jacuzzi. Very relaxed atmosphere. The front door from the road looked tired and in need of a makeover, which doesn't make a positive statement of a guest house on arrival. People could be put off initially if they were just passing and wondering whether to make a booking.

We stayed in the deluxe double room, it was really comfortable and had the most amazing bathroom with a jacuzzi bath! This was one of the most comfortable and relaxing places I have stayed in a long time and great value for money. The staff were very nice and accomodating. Will 100% be back.

Loved the spa/bath in the room, it was amazing - Very romantic. Wish I had time to go in the heated pool, I put my hand in and it felt lovely. Breakfast was nice too, a choice of cerial, tea, coffee and juice. They also give you toast made with nice thick bread and real butter. Would deffo stay again.

This was our second trip and we were pleased to see they now offer a simple breakfast at weekends. It is a quirky place, but the spa pool and japanese jacuzzi thing are great. Personally I don't much like the japanese toilet seat, but it is all part of the style of the place. Booking through this website meant our stay only cost £63 which is great value.

The room was clean and tidy well thought out and looked lovely the house itself was clean and tidy . The spa pool was way too hot that we couldnt even put our feet in it. Even after speaking to the young lady the pool was still too hot to go in at 10pm. This made a very disapionting night as we had planned to spend the evening realaxing in the pool looking at the stars.and I choose this hotel over a castle stay for this reason. The spa bath in the room was lovely while in there but when we let the water out the bottom of the spa was covered in long dark hair (im blonde and hubby very short cropped hair) and scum it was not very nice and I felt I couldnt even shower in there the following morning. Our breakfast consisted of a cold crossaint and a slice of brown bread plonked on the table with a slice of butter to the side. I was extremly disapointed with this hotel and felt it let me down after having a operation on my arm two weeks ago I was looking forward to a relaxing night away from home.

The friendly staff and the excellent facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable. Check in (4 o'clock) is too late. I first arrived at mid day to see if I could leave my bag there but there was nobody in.

The facilities are fantastic. The swimming pool was the right temperature, the Jacuzzi bath was very good, the toilet was a special one from Japan, with a heated seat and bidet built in. The bed was a bit small for a double, but comfy to lay on. The room was nicely decorated and that also goes for the rest of the building. I was lucky enough to get a good deal at Le Chateau Japonais. There are not many bad things I could say. The only issues that I could think of that the changing/shower rooms by the swimming pool could do with a spruce up. That is about it. I would think the price of a double usually would cost between £70 & £90 at this hotel. Although the price I got was a lot cheaper because of a "lucky" fault on booking.com. Oh they could use a bigger sign, or at least one that is easier to see, rather then just a plaque on the front door.

The large Jacuzzi baths in the bathrooms were lovely - unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy it properly. Also the heated outdoor pool area would have been great if we'd had time. On booking.com it stated that breakfast was included, however the manageress then contacted us to say that it wasn't and that we had to pay £7/head if we wanted breakfast.

The room was very stylish, the bed was really confortable, the bathroom was absolutely super. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The outdoor pool was really super too. If I return to this area I would definitely try to book this hotel again. It did not effect anyone in my party but the stairs up to the door could be a problem for some guests. I cannot remember these being mentioned when booking.
