“ It was conducive for our needs to escape the demands of urban London life. Accessible to station. beach and city centre but in a residential area serviced with helpful, polite and conscientious staff. We particularly like the outdoor pool; it reminded me of Ghana. ”

We liked the quirky facilities with the Japanese combined toilet/bidet and whirlpool bath. Also the heated outdoor swimming pool (not tested). The French student staff were very efficient and added je ne sais quoi to the experience!

Japanese bidet was a nice and unexpected surprise. Spa looked good although didn't use it. Breakfast good. Nice view of the ocean with opening window to enjoy the breeze. Staff walking on wooden floor above with hard shoes. Very difficult getting out of spa/shower as very deep. Would not suit older or short person. Walk to restaurants quite a distance.

The quirky mix of French Japanese, friendly staff, lovely cooked breakfast, comfort, heated swimming pool and loo seat! It was very hot (better than too cold thoug) could do with more choice of cereal and fruit for breakfast and the front door area is dirty and lets it down.

Loved the whole Experience, the room was spotless, enjoyed the deep jacuzzi bath, the bidet toilet was different, but mostly the hot rock pool, overall a really nice stay. We would have liked to sample the Japanise menu, it needed a 24hr advance booking but we could not access it on any website, did not really spoil thing s as they let us order takeaway, set us up a table and cleared away for us as well, !!

We liked that the fact they offered something different to the run of the mill hotels. The freedom to use the spa facility at no extra cost was an unexpected bonus. Great breakfast next morning too which was contrary to reviews I had read. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. N/a

Loved the idea of the Japanese and French mixture. Need to be a bit polished thou! Loved the jakuzzi bath and the pool was great! Breakfast! Was dreadful! We had to sit down to a dirty table which wasn't cleared even when we were having our breakfast. We sat there for 15 mins without anyone asking us if we wanted something. There was no juice no bread or anything else we could start with. When the English breakfast came out it looked horrendous! Burnt to death! Cold beans. Black grease on the plate! Do a continental breakfast! If you can't make an acceptable English breakfast don't do it at all. It will give you bad reviews! Or follow the Japanese and French scheme and have a breakfast of Japanese and/or French food!

We stayed for one night to sample the delights of Hastings. . We were warmly welcomed. . He was friendly and showed us the all the facilities such as the Japanese toilet seat (warm seat with squirty washy bidet thing), the Japanese jacuzzi and outdoor pool. We enjoyed the outside pool, became frustrated when filling the jacuzzi in our room as it took so long to fill up; The view from the room was ok which from speaking to other guests was the only thing that we could see that we had paid extra for. , the bed was comfortable. We arrived outside the front door and rung the intercom and waited for some time until the intercom was answered. We were told "I will come" and proceeded to wait in the cold for some time before the door was opened and were taken to be shown our room but we were asked to wait as a light bulb had blown in the room and was being fixed. We were left us with our luggage on the stairwell/landing (after walking up three flights of stairs) while he went down stairs to get the room key As the bathroom area was in the room the room was damp and smelly which we told them later about and he said he would look into it, The walls were thin, the windows were either able to be open fully or closed they were not adjustable. There were no net curtains which meant you had to keep the curtains drawn To top it all the breakfast service was not good we waited for a long time to be served, which never happened the waiter./ staff came in twice and ignored us. In the end I went to look for him and managed to find him in a room sitting on the bed on his laptop. The bread was dry from being left out and the breakfast when it came was a bit greasy, Coffee and tea provided were good, Overall in our experience the accommodation was overpriced, with a mish mash of artifacts that tried to give a French Japenese feel but failed.

Liked the deep jacuzzi bath, and the Japanese style toilet. Quiet location, but not too far from the livelier parts of town. Very good value for money Our first breakfast was a bit chaotic. We chose not to have any others, but this was because we were ill or hungover, so we can't comment further

The welcome on our arrival was warm, friendly and quick, telling us everything we needed to know. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the sea could be seen in the distance. The bed had a memory foam mattress which was very comfortable. The jacuzzi was excellent, but took a long time to fill. The pool in the garden was very warm at 34ºc, we happily used this even with the air temperature at -1ºc! The changing room was also warm. Breakfast was a small English, but good quality. The carpets and furnishings were interesting. A great place to stay.

Whirlpool Bathroom wasn't very clean, I dropped something on the floor an it was really dirty.no hair dryer as stated, but no mirror with a plug near to it anyway, I used hair tongs in the hall! The bed was really small for a double my partner being tall didn't really fit. Breakfast wasn't very hot.

The outdoor swimming pool The service I had on the phone, the uncooked cold breakfast, the filthy scum left around the bath tub of which was so thick and dirty we couldn't clean it. When we booked out the guy didnt have a clue on what the payment was as he asked us how much we were quoted. We also booked a superior room which was very small so we had the room next door and were told that was also a superior room but websit stated that there was only 1 superior room. We were basically left to our own devices with a phone number written on the back of a card if we needed anything. Someone was also hoovering at 23.00 of which we could hear from our room. Pretty disappointing evening.!!!
