The jacuzzi was amazing. You would never expect the attention to detail that this property has lots of stairs, and the rooms are a little on the small size |

If you would like a hotel with a difference, this has to be up in the top ten, the rooms were really lovely, the decor was in keeping with the japanese including the bed which was comfortable, the tea and coffee tray with fruit and biscuits was excellent, and the jacuzzi in room was such fun, plus the japanese toilet made me giggle. Lots of stairs so not really accessible for anyone who was unfit, there was no offer of breakfast and for the price I think a continental breakfast would have been nice to be included. The house had many rooms but was only shown our room I guess the rest is for private use so no dining room was seen which I reckon being japanese run if they did a evening meal would have been popular. |

The bathroom; except that we couldn't make the jacuzzi work and no-one was around to show us.how. The inattentive, casual staff; the resemblance of the place to a student lodging. Staff claimed they didn't receive my emailed request for a Japanese meal and refused to prepare any food for us - we had to wander the streets of Hastings to find somewhere decent to eat. |

loo and water features were lovely though a bit concerned about complete lack of safety features in slippery jaccuzi. Difficulty communicating, email not answered and poor english. Had wanted to book a meal but not possible to talk to any one about this |

The jacuzzi bath is brilliant and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Staff are very friendly. The Japanese toilets, although fun, are quite loud and kept me up at night. Had to switch it off! It's a shame that breakfast is not included. |

The room, the view, the offer of the heated pool. Also the room was clean and comfortable with all the mod cons I'd've expected from an hotle charging twice the price. So it was a good experience. And the Japanese bath was an experience! A good one, I hasten to add. That there is a total no-smoking policy all over the hotel. And they were a bit too eager for me to leave the next morning as I'd overstayed till 11:20; they actually came with cleaning materials to the room and asked me to go. I'd've liked a later check-out time of midday, like most hotels. The UK breakfast could do with a bit of tarting up too; mushrooms need to be fried, not ladled out of a tin |

Spa bath outside wonderfully hot and open late evening so we went twice in our 1 night stay. The very different Japanese/French style of the furnishings and fittings. Beautifully furnished rooms, jacuzzi bath, stylish bathrooms, friendly staff. No blinds across roof windows in the bathroom, so people above could probably see in when we were using those facilities. Room was quite small with the sofabed open.We didn't realise that my younger son had no duvet & pillows-just 2 small blankets for him; too late to ask for bedding again when we returned late- helpful staff would no doubt have provided more if we'd asked. |

Staying in the beautiful new room. On arriving we were not sure what to expect. The outside is in need of tiding up and maintaining. |

Very interesting hotel, very friendly staff. Love the Japanese toilets and great Jacuzzi. I like the fact that they are trying to do something different. Only down point was a little noisy in the morning. |

An unusual hotel, beautifully equipped and immaculately clean. The controls on the jacuzzi defeated me (but the shower was pleasant), and I didn't have time to bathe in the Japanese heated swimming pool on the roof! The plenteous fruit in the room was excellent. I think it should have been made clear in advance that breakfast is not provided unless 24 hours' notice has been given!! (The large fridge is available if you want to stock up yourself.) |
