Built in 1822, this listed building offers spectacular panoramic views out over the North Bay, including Scarborough Castle and the Yorkshire coastline, a 10-minute walk from the center of the city. All of the rooms have private bathrooms and have tea/coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi. A full English breakfast is available every morning. The town of Whitby is only a 30-minute drive away, with the famous Heartbeat Country and Castle Howard both reachable by car in 45 minutes. lovely room and beautiful view from window. owners are very nice. We are satisfied with everything and hope to stay here for longer time. We will prpbably go back to this town and this hotel again! Love it so much.

We had a brilliant weekend in Scarborough.....despite the snow! The Leeway is a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great. The owners set it apart from other guest houses, they are friendly, helpful and good fun to spend time with. We have already booked again!

had a fantastic weekend, the hosts could not have done any more, on arrival tea and coffee were brought to our room even though there were facilities in the room to make our own. Breakfast was lovely, just what you needed to set you up for the day. Room was small but very comfortable and nicely decorated. nothing to add in this section - everything spot on

It was a small friendly hotel with 5star facilities. The hosts were very welcoming. I requested a gluton free breakfast and was presented with everything I could require including bread, cereal, sausage, biscuits etc. We also had dressing gowns in our rooms. A dressing table with mirror above would have been nice.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was very friendly and the owners were very helpful, we felt very welcome and the breakfast was very tasty. Our room was perfect, wished we could have stayed longer, will definatley visit again.

Warm welcome and location close to centre of Scarborough I was disappointed with my stay after high expectations from other guests reviews. Unfortunately though, my bed was very hard and meant I did not sleep well. The room was also cold despite the radiator being on all night - the duvet was very thin and although I had a blanket...I Was still cold. I could also quite clearly hear the guests in a neighbouring room.

Friendly welcome for solo travellers at a friendly price. However, it should be noted that its sea front location is in North Bay, the quieter of the two Scarborough Bays, the other being South Bay.

I am a single mature lady who was very pleased with the welcome I recieved from Sharon and Peter. They were very friendly and helpful. My room was compact but provided everything I needed with plenty of storage for the various clothing etc that I needed for an autumn visit to the North East coast. My bed was comfortable and the shower very efficient. The room was very clean and I had excellent views from my window. My breakfast was well cooked and presented and was served with a smile and a chat. Sharon and Peter were friendly and interested in my activities without being intrusive or over familiar. My overall experience was excellent from my friendly welcome on arrival to the cheery wave on my depature.

Sharon & Peter are welcoming hosts, ready to chat to make you feel comfortable but not to make you feel overpowered. They are attentive without being invasive. The room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast delicious. It's a great hotel, I would thoroughly recommend it.

A friendly welcome , helpful information , fantastic views from sea view room. We were greeted with a cuppa and a friendly chat , told about the weekend events in the town and given directions to all the amenities. The town and south bay are very close. Car parking was available at the hotel but we used road parking only 40p a day. Room was spotless and the view was superb , right above North Bay. We really enjoyed our weekend.

The hotel was ideally situated to let us do quite a lot in a short visit. Peter and Sharon were wonderfully friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Our rooms were scrupulously clean and very comfortable for such a reasonable rate. The sea view from my window was also lovely. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Leeway to anyone planning an overnight stay or weekend break in the area!

The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The room was on the small side but very clean with a newly decorated en-suite. We had a wonderful sea view and its location is perfect for the North Bay end of Scarborough. Breakfast was excellent. We had a lovely stay and would return if visiting Scarborough again.

We were made to feel very welcome both on arrival and during our hole stay. Sharon and Peter were the perfect hosts. The room was very clean and had a wonderful panoramic view of the bay and castle. Good access to the town. Excellent breakfast.
