If I could give double marks for cleanliness, lovely hosting from Zsuzsanna and all the lovely decor touches of wooden art and pictures (Kevin)..... I would. A warm welcome, delicious breakfasts and always on hand for the occasional question. The Leeway is perfectly positioned for North Bay/beach (my favourite), and parking was easy too - thanks to the hotel. We had a relaxing stay and would certainly return and recommend to others.

Built in 1822 this listed building is full of character offering spectacular views across the North Bay to Scarborough Castle and the Yorkshire coastline. The Leeway’s rooms are tastefully decorated and feature Freeview TV, free WiFi and are supplied with tea and coffee making facilities along with hairdryers. The hotel is over three floors. It has no elevator. The Leeway overlooks the cliffs and the beach that stretches for over a mile along the rugged coastline. There is free parking on site and the fun fair and arcades of South Bay are just a 10-minute walk away. The Town center is home to a variety of restaurants that offer sea food, Italian, Indian, Chinese and English cuisine, all just minutes away.

All rooms are en-suite, the double and single rooms have magnificent sea views. The twin rooms unfortunately are not a sea view. The hotel is spread over 3 floors. It has no lift. The Leeway Guest House offers an ideal base to enjoy Scarborough and all its facilities, or to explore North Yorkshire. Located overlooking the North Bay, we are within walking distance of the Sea Life Centre, Miniature Railway, the working Harbour, Scarborough Castle, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Cricket Ground, the Indoor Bowls Centre and the Open Air Theatre. The Town Centre is only a 10 minute walk away. The South Bay, 15 minutes walk away, offers arcades, amusements and a busy fun fair. From the Harbour, you can book trips around the bay, the North Yorkshire coast, or half/full day fishing trips. The six sea view rooms allow guests to enjoy panoramic views of the cliffs and historic castle that frame the picturesque north bay. Kevin & Zsuzsanna (the owners) will do everything they can to ensure your stay is stress free and relaxing.
