Good location and well maintained hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was served in the conservatory which was a very pleasant room and the food was locally sourced and delicious.
Cleanliness Breakfast Location Appearance Room Size
The staff on arrival were very helpful and polite we used a side room for a business discussion that the staff had laid out for us. Thank you for a very pleasant stay
Very nice hotel with excellent staff and facilities. Breakfast was excellent.
Nothing really. Inadequate parking but plenty just off site and free.
location friendly staff good quality breakfast
could be cleaner
Very friendly staff at reception, also excellent staff and quick service at breakfast.
Website misleading as implies there is a pool ie pool and wellness leisure centre. I assumed there was a pool and was disappointed that there wasn'T.
Excellent staff, good food, comfortable surroundings.very thoughtful of reception staff to leave an anniversary card for us
staff very helpfu
plaster cracks in the walls of the room, curtains rings hanging off the curtains by a thread, water stains on the ceiling, room 30 OK size, but TV at far end of room, too far away and only a small window in the room for "park view" .Could not find any where to sit after the evening meal as seats all taken so had to return to room.
We travel a lot and we have never had such a wonderful welcome. The hotel is extremely dog friendly and the staff are absolutely brilliant. We would definitely stay there again.
The Restaurant, Bedroom and Bathroom were all very nice indeed and the breakfast was good and well presented. The staff were very pleasant and helpful also
The hotel bar totally lacked atmosphere. Only my wife and I were in there at 10.00 om on Saturday evening ! Too quiet for us even though we are senior citizens. Also we thought that the hotel evening meal in the restaurant was overpriced so we went to a little Italian in Buxton which was delightful with excellent food at a very reasonable price. We also think that the B&B tariff at the Lee Wood should be at least 15% lower to make it an attractive proposition for a week-end break
Excellent staff at reception.very helpful ,warm and friendly .
Friendly responsive staff
Room Staff Food lift
Cigarette box outside of the main door was a definite killer to the quality of the service. It is downright 'disgusting'. Car parking outside main door is poorly marked meaning I had to on 2 occasions ask the staff to get other guests to move their cars in order that I could park properly.
Place is fairly central food is excellent staff are extremely friendly
the idiot who parked his truck obstructing the car park
I've been to this hotel a few times in the last 25 years and have enjoyed my time there every time. The staff are great and take care of guests in a very friendly and professional way.
There's nothing I don't like about The Lee Wood
Pleasant room, very friendly and efficient service from all the staff. Lovely location.
Warm welcome, friendly staff, accommodation clean and comfortable. Food excellent
Dated furniture (mahogany type) - could do with modernisation - this is just our personal opinion as furniture in all other respects was perfectly adequate. No air-conditioning in room. Would definitely be a bonus as warm weather left room extremely hot
Good Location, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms
Cheerful and helpful staff - very enjoyable breakfast.
Friendly attitude Excellant breakfast
Room was too small for a couple Dinner menu too predictable
Good efficient service. Excellent restaurant with quality food well presented. Waiting staff really professional and attentive. We hope to come again. Very convenient for the opera house for the Buxton Festival.
Our room was perhaps a little on the small side.
very helpful and friendly staff both this time and on a previous visit with another lot of staff.location is good, and reasonable value for the festival period
room perhaps rather cramped, may be direct customers get better rooms than booking.com customers?
Restaurant was a high standard with good food and very helpful staff.
Buxton itself was disappointing. The town is lovely but the bars and restaurants need a makeover. Struggled to find anywhere for a drink that didn't appear run down.
Comfortable spacious room, very helpful and pleasant staff and great breakfast.
The hotel has very good facilities. The room was very comfortable and was of a good size. Breakfast was excellent as was the one dinner we had. Lovely terrace and garden. All the staff were most helpful and charming.
