Good location right next to m4. Despite the proximity to the motorway, the hotel is well shielded with very little road noise at night and quite acceptable in the day. Receptionist 'forgot' to ask if we came by car. Got to room to find notice saying we had to register the car at reception in order to avoid parking charges. Decided to eat dinner in restuarant - 8 other diners and quite pleasant ambience, We ordered off the rather limited menu choice (and not cheap!) and waited 1 hour 5 minutes for meal to arrive. Food was ok but waiter seemed to be working behind the bar as well and couldn't remember if he had taken our order or not. We then ordered a sweet and waited a further 20 minutes to be told they had run out of custard for the apple pie! Final problem at checkout next morning the receptionist was a trainee and has billed both the preauthorisation and the final bill to my credit card and a week later I'm still battling with them to get it corrected,

We have stayed at the Legacy a few times over the years and find it very convenient travelling by car or local transport from Newcastle. The local bus service from the village to Cardiff, Pontypridd,& Whitchurch to visit relatives is very good and reliable. ( Only one complaint, we cant use our English bus passes in Wales). Thank you for a most enjoyable stay at the Legacy and we will be staying again when visiting our relatives in Wales.

cheap - rooms are quite big We were given a double room which was clearly not ready, we asked for another room, and the suggested alternative was a (stinky) twin room - Poor breakfast

Bar meals were very limited, frozen over cooked chips and no flavour to the chilli.Be careful if you choose to leave your payment card open for add-ons as payments showed twice on my account and it took 4 days to re-credit.

room was good size and everything worked, was clean and warm. food was good value and well presented. waiting staff tried hard to please. restaurant, bar area and foyer was freezing cold, lack of heating made it an unsocial area. eating wearing 4 layers of clothing in the bar/restaurant was/is very poor. staff did not notice or were not concerned. mgt scruffy.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bedroom was clean. Good wheelchair access. Large group or choir singing Calon Llan at 1 am in a conference room a few metres from my bedroom - no thanks. The fact that the hotel staff allowed this has put me off ever coming back. A pity as we are regular visitors to Cardiff. The breakfast was very basic and compares badly with those provided by the nearby Village or Copthorne hotels.

This Hotel was perfect for our needs, mainly used by business people, located right next to the m4 motorway, Junction 32 to Cardiff. The price was excellent, its clean and tidy, the shower very powerful. The bed comfortable and massive. Free wi fi throughout the building. Free Parking. I will always be using this in future for one night stay overs on business.

Location Very cold room. Major draft from window. No radiiator just a small heater. Never anyone about on reception. Never topped up coffee and milk in room unless I left a note asking them. Room not cleaned properly. Someone else's nail clippings on my blanket on arrival! Added breakfast on my stay only to find the following day the waitress said I had not ordered it.

The hotel is excellent, it's not expensive, and the staff are brilliant. The breakfast was cooked to order, and was very good. There is a bar, and a resturant. But very litle else to do. The shower in our room ran warm, with only a trickle of water, even though the washhand basin just feet away gushed very hot water.
