We enjoyed our stay again as we find the staff friendly and helpful when needed. I booked the stay again as it was for my boyfriends birthday. Food excellent as I remembered! Loved the breakfast too, help yourself. Much better than the menu breakfast! See you again!
Firstly we got a room what was in the old part, could do with a restyle, also smell not pleasant. Asked for another room so looked at another room and was much better, much more cosy!! Enjoyed my stay!!
stayed here several times, like the hydrotherpy pool, and the location and plenty of parking
when we stayed last year, they had run out of draught beer, and no beer on this stay as well only larger
Good location and car park.
Dirty towels (full of make up).
The location was superb. The was clean and the bed very comfortable.
The room was too hot. You could not open the window due to refrigeration/heater motors running all night. Internet connection not available in rooms.
Most of the staff were Welsh-speaking and very friendly.
the hotel was fabulous, food was good, rooms were clean and spacious.
Spa booking was messed up and that meant the whole trip was spoilt. which was a shame as it was a birthday surprise.
The location, good value for money, drinks not over priced, cosy spa, quietness of the room, good food.
Comfortable room and excellent food.
Unfriendly welcome - all other staff - including other receptionists - very friendly and accommodating.
All round top place to stay. Great price, nice food excellent location.
Booked the Romantic Break package-nice boquette of flowers and chocolates in room inclusive of 2 course dinner good value. Good location
Bed a bit soft
Cold plates provided for buffet breakfast which meant the hot food selected was soon rendered cold. Nothing wrong with the food but the cold plate situation disappointing.
Location, ample parking
The standard room. It was small, dark and stuffy, with a sagging bed, and not suitable for two adults. The water pressure in the small shower was very poor.We have stayed in a superior previously and they are ok. Food in restaurant is mediocre. Internet only works in the lobby and bar, and due to the location, mobile phone coverage is weak.
The bedroom was very dirty, cobwebs & dust everywhere this room was in the old part. Got moved to another room in the new part next day but that too wasn't 100% Saw the manager & he waived the bill...was the only solution really!
Access to the Spa. Good price from booking.com
There is a pump that makes quite of lot of noise and woke me up in the night in room 303, one of the new rooms. Worryingly someone else mentioned this fault in a review in March and it's not been fixed. Inadvisable to use the restaurant if you are a vegetarian as there is no choice n thhe menu and the dish available that night was poor quality and poor value for £25, though the starter was nice. We booked dinner for 8:15 but were not served until 9:20 because they were "very busy". actually, we had the last booking of the night and the restaurant was empty by 9:20. So not a good atmosphere for a party dinner.
Accommodation in the old block needs a refurbishment as a little scruffy but the newer annex is very much better. Comfortable beds
Very nice over all
The music at breakfast
Friendliness, air condition, excellent food.
Bedding clean but old. Curtains horrible, shower not suitable for disabled and I stated on my bookkng that I was disabled.
very pleasant 2 night stay, all hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the food of good quality, we were a group of 10 and all enjoyed the stay
bathroom needs updating (cracked sink and fluffy extraction fan need sorting)
Room features a little tired in need of updating
A modern building in an excellent location and with ample car parking
Let down by a restaurant with a poor menu, poor quality food and poorly trained staff. However I will continue to use the hotel but eat elsewhere.
Great Breakfast Hydrotherapy Pool, Sauna and Steam excellent for relaxing
Poor area could be cleaned more
Setting was good - lovley outlook close to town
Room furniture tired but clean Food appalling and although complained was told that description acurate - eg thick cut toast was actually thick sliced cheap bread and I was told this was correct!!
Proximity to town pool food
Noisy staff taking breaks outside early morning shower not working adequately too hot room to hot needed fan on all night
