The hotel was good value for money. Our room had a four poster bed which was extremely comfortable. Some of the staff are friendly and attentive. The spa could be good if it was maintained and cleaned. The hotel is in need of extensive repair and re-decoration. The spa is in great need of cleaning and maintenance. We went to the same hotel in October and the steam room and sauna shower wasn't working...it still isn't 3 months on. The spa pool has dirty scum all around the water line and the loungers have white (dead skin) marks over the bottom of them which could be cleaned easily. The showers in the changing area were filthy and there was muddy dirt on the floors.

Pleasant, friendly staff, and very easy to deal with. They took the time and effort to phone me to confirm the booking and clarify dog costs The hotel was very dog friendly. beautiful location and quite conveniemt for overnight stop even from M6 and other West coast routes. Did not eat in the hotel, chose nice restaurant in Llangollen instead but menu looked good and fairly priced. Rooms were good size and beds very comfartable Nothing really, excellent value for money, and generally nice feel to the place

The location is lovely and Reception and surrounding areas are well appointed. The bar food was very good, a definite improvement on last time. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. It was a pleasant walk along the river into Llangollen which is a typical tourist town really and the canal trips looked interesting. Our room needed a bit of TLC especially the bathroom. The hotel restaurant offered only a quite pricey three course menu which would be wasted on us. When we asked for a late checkout, we were told that we could only have an extra hour and it would cost us £10. The receptionist was quite apologetic about this but it was obviously hotel policy.

It was a lovely hotel & a very enjoyable stay. unfortunately we did not realise that we could not use the spa & hydrotherapy pool as we had our 9 month old daughter with us, but we still had a lovely time there.

Rooms described as 'Superior' barely achieved the standard of a Premier Travel Inn (not intended to be critical of Prem Travel Inn) but at almost Treble the price. Bathroom tiles needed a good clean and stains on carpets and bedding were disturbing! Spa was only 'Warm' and therfore not particularly inviting. Comments to reception were greeted with only a passing concern.

The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, the food was very good quality from the bar menu to the evening menu we did very much enjoy our stay at the Wild Pheasant and 15 minutes from home is ideal. We would love to stay at the Wild Phesant again. The only one thing that we werent very happy with was the television only had two working channels.

It was very good value and it's location was great. It was a little rough around the edges. It needed a lick of paint. The water pressure for the showers was very low making it nearly unusable.

At £20 each b & b for a Monday evening: a great bargain. The hotel is in Llangollen which is an area of outstanding beauty and loads to do. It is possible to walk from the hotel into Llangollen or parking in the town costs £1.00 for 3 hours. Our room was spacious. Tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, iron, hairdryer, trouser press and television. There was a nice indoor courtyard area with leather sofas and free newspapers. Had a bar snack rather than expensive dinner - very nice. Bathroom tiles abit shabby. Shower area over bath. There is no view from the hotel. Was not able to use the leisure facilities as they were closed for cleaning and the receptionist didn't warn us of this the previous evening.

The receptionist on check in and out was extremely friendly and helpful, room was nice, clean and decent size, location great, service in restaurant was good but we were the only two dining in at the time! Enjoyed my stay. Sauna, steam room and parts of pool weren't working, only a minor dissapointment.

Freindly and welcoming staff who remained the same throughout our stay. Quality of food was excellent and plentiful. Spa area clean and very relaxing . Room basic but comfortable . Carpets in Bar and resturaunt are in desperate need of either a clean or renewal totally detracts from the rest of the hotel.Extracter fan in bathroom very noisy.

The staff were very friendly and the service was unbelievably quick and polite. The older parts of the hotel could do with some redecorating but that would just be being very picky as it was still very tidy and clean. The location was good, quick walk into town or another 45 min drive and you're right in the heart of the mountains.

The only thing I liked was that we had only booked the one night On arrival we were kept waiting for ages while the (one) receptionist was on the phone. The hotel was shabby and dirty in the public areas, although the room was clean. We only had limted tea and coffee in the room 2 tea bags 2 coffee 4 milk. The tv is a joke they have only got 4 channels itv1 bbc1 and 2 obscure movie channels did Wales miss the switch over to digital tv??? The bar is over priced and understocked and the restuarant is just overpriced.I Am a very well travelled person and it takes a lot for me to write a review but I think this hotel deserves one.To end on a good note, nah I aint got one.

The hotel is comfortable having been there before and enjoyed it! The food is very good and the staff are very pleasant. However the hotel generally needs a face lift and money spent on it to keep a good reputation. The spa water was cold and one of the jets and shower were broken. There were things not up to scatch in the hotel bedroom the remote for the television did not work. The sink tapped dripped all the time. there was no edge under the shower screen so water went absolutely everywhere. If these little things were put right it would be more enjoyable and make the price worth paying
