A few minutes' walk from Paddington Station and near to Hyde Park and Madame Tussauds, this Victorian listed building is a small, family-run hotel offering bed and breakfast.

Situated a minute’s walk from Aldgate East Tube Station and on the gateway to Brick Lane, City Hotel is just next to the Whitechapel Art Gallery.

This hotel was a great place to stay in London, and within easy reach of several tube stations. The room was spotless and the cleaning staff knocked politely with fresh towels. The breakfast was fine, but skills as regards a choice of egg limited to fried. Toast plentiful and real butter. I rate a stay here for sure.
I really cannot fault it good value for the close proximity to London, and other guests were also satisfied. Definitely would consider a future visit.
Room well equipped Adequate parking Well priced for London Continuing improvements
Bathroom was very hot, radiator uncontrollable
Really clean rooms
Sharing dining tables with other diners
FREE PARKING, CLEAN COMFORTABLE ROOM, TEA COFFEE PLEASANT HELPFUL STAFF
The shower in the bathroom was not great as the shower head would not stay still
The hotel is situated close to Streatham Hill rail station which is good for travelling around London. The hotel is nice the room was clean but there was an awful smell in the bathroom where an airfreshner wouldn't go astray, breakfast was ok too. Checkout was very early compared to other hotels I've stayed at which was inconvenient and there didn't seem to be any flexibility in this.
Very early checkout especially if you've a late flight.
It was very clean, bedrooms good had all that you needed. Breakfast was good had a fair range of food. Good location high street had plenty of bars, resturants and only about 5min walk to train station which goes into Victoria Station.
Clean room + free car-park
Lack of any shelves in bathroom and shower cubicle
New room Clean bathroom Comfy bed Beside streatham hill train station Plenty of cafes and pubs nearby
10:30-11 checkout time
Good bedroom and good bathroom/shower.
The included breakfast could be better. Better go out and find some place else.
The room as a refuge.
10.30 check out.
The very comfortable bed was great as was the location of the room at the back, really quiet and with everything we needed. Everything was spotless, everything worked. We loved the mural in the breakfast room. Friendly staff too so we will be returning.
There was nothing to dislike. Our room would have been awkward for anyone disabled (quite a few stairs) but I think others would be fine.
The room was excellent... lovely Grecian themed bathroom. Really enjoyed our stay
Coffee and breakfast.
Refurbished room apart from plastic floor . Shower worked very well and bathroom clean .
Noise from road and woken early by renovation in room directly above. Milk curdled in coffee. Shabby hallways - this might change as currently undergoing renovations in rooms. Had to get redressed to visit reception when wi if code failed Plastic looking floor in room - no carpet No shower gels Canteen like breakfast room. This is a hotel for contractors or people on a budget !!
Staff pleasant and helpful. Room adequate size, but certainly not large. The windows could be opened in our room which we appreciated. The bathroom was v. clean and had a good effective shower. Small bed very hard
Thin walls. We were kept awake until about 2.30 by talk and TV noise from neighbours. The Breakfast room was spartan like a canteen, very basic. The breakfast was not very nice: all fried and no choice of scrambled, poached or boiled egg. Tepid coffee. Nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom - no hooks.
Great hotel internet doesn't do it justice if you get a deal take it
some staff didn't understand English, a bar would have
Big room, good shower and good night sleep
Noise and dust from ceramic tilers working in the opposite room!
Parking, clean, good sized rooms en suites good size. Good value for money, staff friendly and helpfull
Paying for wifi, staff and residents smoking directly by the front door, so we all shared their smoke when sat in the lounge or walking in the hallways
Room, furnishings, facilities, food all fine - not luxurious but good quality and better than most for the price. Preferable to chain hotels like Travel Lodge which are very basic and boring.
My room was at the front of the building and the road noise was loud enough to disturb sleep, despite the well insulated windows. Fortunately I'd got earplugs which made it bearable! Difficult getting luggage up stairs with no lift. No accessibility provision.
Bed was comfortable. Parking available
Shabby. Room smelled very stale
Room very clean
I rang to check that the hotel was assessable before arrival and was told that if I could manage the front steps they would place me on ground floor and I would be fine how wrong they were the wheelchair didnt fit in the room door there are 3 steep steps up to the bathroom that are tiled and slippery I coped because there was no choice after arriving late evening but was unable to use any facilities including the toilet I then had to get to breakfast in the morning down steps round 2 corridors and more steps the one handrail they had on stairs was loose and wobbly won't be staying again
Very convenient to station and parking on site which was a must. Second stay we've had there. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean and bathrooms modern and spotless. Wifi £3 for 24 hrs - ideal. Would highly recommend.
The next door room was a bit noisy but don't let that put you off. Didn't have that issue before so probably just murphy's law!
New shower cubicle etc but no shelves in bathroom.
Room looked out onto brick wall but only slept there
Breakfast was cold and extremely poor
Good value for money in an expensive area.
