Leigham Court Hotel18 Leigham Court Rd, Streatham, Lambeth, SW16 2PJ London (Show map) Good, Score from 485 reviews“Good location near to Streatham Hill Railway Station. Very quiet for a London Hotel. Breakfast fast and efficient”
Roger,
Beaminster
This impressive Victorian building is just 985 ft from Streatham Hill Train station, a 17-minute train ride from Victoria Station. It was once the home of Lord and Lady Leigham. In Lambeth in South London, the Leigham Court Hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the shops and amenities of Streatham. A full English breakfast is available every day, and there is a large, free parking lot on site. Today, this imposing Victorian residence houses well equipped hotel rooms, with a TV, a hairdryer, and tea and coffee-making facilities in each. Guests can also make use of a 24-hour front desk desk. Wandsworth and Wimbledon, home of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, can both be reached in 15 minutes’ drive. Hotel Rooms: 55

Great location for a friends wedding, good price and clean, comfortable rooms - very quiet, just right. very friendly staff during the day gave us the option to pay upon leaving, however far less friendly night staff would not let us back into the hotel without paying - no big problem but not very consistent service.

I was pleasantly surprised by Leigham. It offered good value for money and while the rooms were fairly basic they were perfectly adequate for a short stay and very clean. I would use again providing I needed to be that side of London as it is a little further out than I anticipated but that wasnt insurmountable as train station just a few hundreds yards away Not suitable for people with mobility problems due to stairs unless could guarantee downstairs room - if there was a lift it wasnt clearly visible. parking problem for guests arriving later in the day

I liked the staff that was kind and helped us in any needs. I also liked the comfort of the room. Staying here made me feel at home. I didn't liked the fact that our room was a little bit smelly although the next room where my friends have stayed wasn't smelling.

This hotel reminded me a dormitory in positive way. Although it is not a fancy nor premium hotel, everything is there the way it should be, and clean. Staff are all good and kind. The London city center can be reached by several different combinations of bus, underground and overground. There is no internet connection in the room. It looks that only one computer connected to the net at the lobby, and it was not free. also It is a bit far to the city center. It takes about one hour in the most of cases.

My husband had to work in Central London. It was only a 30 minute drive for him on the Saturday morning and a 20 minute train ride to Victoria for myself and son when we were ready to hit the shops. There was plenty of parking (which was the main reason we chose this hotel) and it was very conveniently situated just up the road from the train station. For a two star hotel we were very pleased with the price we paid.

Clean room, beds ok, 5 Miutes walk to the train station then a 16 minute ride to Victoria. Breakfast was a bit youth hostel - long tables, and the bralfast room could do with a spruce up. Overall Ok for a short stay.

The furnishings are very tasteful. Good location and free parking. Emerson the night receptionist is very helpful. Breakfast was adequate. The day time receptionist has a very poor attitude - we have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and each time his attitude has left much to be desired. He is unhelpful and unfriendly. Not a good advertisement for the Hotel.

Breakfast!!! Very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Furnishings very tastefully done. Disappointing that there was a false alarm at 2.30am due to someone spaying an aerosol can, but better safe than sorry. All in all,we enjoyed our stay

Clean comfortable rooms, and shower. Very reasonably priced. Exhaust fumes form the coaches starting up their air conditioning was more than just a nuisance in the breakfast room. Breakfast room needs redecorating

Hotel is in good location, very close to Streatham Hill railway station Room was clean, comfortable and well decorated. Overall the hotel was good value for money. The most disappointing part of the stay was breakfast which was chaotic. The room wasn't big enough for the number of guests so the tables were squashed together and no-one explained what food was available. You had to ask for a cooked breakfast. However, because of the reaonable cost and the convenient location I would use the hotel again.

24 hour reception and security. Safe off road parking for my car in the hotel forecourt. I left it there while I went into London for the day. Buses and trains nearby.

Breakfast We're very disappointed about the nigh shift staff. When we called and asked the direction about the hotel, he just gave us rough direction (he gave us the wrong stop of the bus). When we followed his instructions, we were totally lost. When we finally found a telephone and call him again, he told us to ask any store for help. When I told him I did not see any stores opened (as it's after 10pm), he hung up my phone. When I finally arrived the hotel and asked him we wish to have vegetarian breakfast (since the breakfast included in the fare we paid), he said they don't have vegetarian breakfast and we had to have it by ourselves. (We of course had our vegetarian breakfast in the hotel at the end as we didn’t believe him. We asked the staffs in the breakfast room and they were very kind and prepare vegetarian breakfast for us.) What a good service of the night shift staff!!!

Rate of the room with breakfast included was very good and everything was OK! The Staff was helpful and give information about bus time tables etc. If You need clean, decent place with OK! clean room this is the right place - no luxus definetely, but it was not needed ! It is a bit far from the centre, and if You arrive and depart from London Stanstedt airport (Ryanair, Easy Jet) it is totally wrong side, take some hotel from North-Side of London.

Pleasantly surprised, good value, very clean, staff helpful, comfortable bed, hearty breakfast. Much better than some places stayed in with higher star rating. Smell of cigarette smoke can creep into room.

Rooms were a good size and were clean and well equipped for what was a budget price and pblic areas were also clean and tidy. A free car park was also a bonus Its not in the greatest location and we chose it mainly because of it proximity to a wedding we were attending. The only reason we would not recommend it is because of its location.

I don't understand the 'describe the hotel' section above - few of the answers are not relevant to the question. We only stayed for one night as booked. It was warm, clean and quiet and it had off-street parking. The "3 for £1" markers on the yogurt pots at breakfast did sort of indicate the standard they are aiming at! Also the bread was very cheap and not particularly pleasant. No marmalade or Marmite at breakfast. Both could easily be provided at low cost. The breakfast room was a little austere - a bit like a hostel but service was prompt. Separating the tables so that they seat 4 instead of 8 would make it look a lot better.
