The room sin the coach house were nice + breakfast was lovely The hotel was a bit remote for us, as a couple in our twenties we found ourselves with nothing 2 do on the saturday night, there were no facilties in the hotel for guests, the bar is small + totally inadequate. The hotel is booked for weddings + I think that is the hotels main focus. I think the hotel is overpriced due to the lack of facilties. The reason for our stay was to visit longleat + if we went again I would definietly stay in a hotel in Bath, as it is not much further away.

It was just what we wanted in the right location. Price was good for the time of year and we could book 2 nights, most places wanted a minimum 3 nights. On a wet and windy evening an open fire would have been welcoming

Excellent in terms of peace and privacy with a spacious room and good bathroom. Quality of food was above and beyond as well as abundant. It was more something in line with a 5 star hotel. The dinner service was excellent but see dislikes below. The dinner menu was limited in choice and expensive - again in line with 5 star and was 5 star prices. Since I had invited others and was paying the bill, dining there was something I would not have done had I done my research properly - e.g. there was no "children's food" on the menu. While the accom was excellent, the concept of twin rooms is different. Mine had a luxurious double bed and a portable "guest" bed for my son. There is no elevator in the hotel - its a 3 star of course but it should be known that you can come across quite a lot of stairs.

Fine location for visiting our grandson in Bath, lovely grounds and beautiful building. The staff were most helpful and the rooms comfortable. Poor state of the windows in room39, they had mould on them, were rotting in places and did not close properly. The painting of them needs attention as does the external paintwork of the building(weeds in gutters) The breakfast choice was first class, however the pre-cooked food was cold by the time we sat down to enjoy it.

Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We will stay again! In our case it would have been better to have had ground floor rooms since there is no lift which wasn't clear to me at the time I booked on line.however the staircase has gradual steps so we were able to cope.

It was a very pleasent hotel in an excellant location. The dinner in the restaurant was superb My hotel room was looking old, dark and tired. The bathroom had peeling paint and black mould around the window.

T he staff were very helpful and pleasent. The room we had was a twin bed one, it was very constricted for two people although the bathroom was almost as big, I would stay there again provided a larger twin room was available.

Staff were excellent. Cuisine outstanding unexpectedly so and good value for money. It is used a lot for weddngs ceremonies/receptions and there is a lot of pressure on facilities at those times. Our room worked well: it was quiet, comfortable and had great view across the Wiltshire countryside to the Downs. The room allocated to us was up flight of stairs and then at the very end of a corridor so not the easiest access. Old folks beware!

Very efficient staff and very welcoming. My room was lovely and very clean. As a single woman travelling on business on my own, I would have maybe preferred to have been in the main building rather than in the annexe, as I didn't see anyone at all during my stay so it was quite lonely.

We enjoyed having a large, airy ("de-luxe") room with great views. The dining room experience was the least satisfactory aspect - there were plenty of wait-staff around, but they were not always very attentive.

Location and setting were beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful with friendly atmosphere At breakfast, after not being approached by waiting staff for 10 mins, I had to find somebody to ask for coffee and the scrambled eggs were wet and sloppy!

Proximity to Bradford-on-Avon; nothing else. Shabby, dreary, unattractive common areas. Nowhere to sit in gardens and terrace only had two tables.

The experience was a pleasure. We made a late booking and had a large room with wonderful views stretching to Westbury whitehorse. Breakfast was not only tasty but a pleasant experience with plenty of staff to serve the food. The location is within easy reach of both Bradford on Avon and Bath - small quaint town and large historic city.
