The room was very nicely furnished and the hotel was in a good location near the train station. Both meals we had in the hotel were very tasty, overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff at breakfast could have been a little more attentive and our room was quite hot even with the radiators turned off as there is a main hot water pipe that runs vertically along the side of the room. |

Friendly staff, nice big room, nice television, breakfast was good and the location, next to the train station is excellent. More vegetarian choice in the breakfast maybe - a continental option of coisants and a bigger range of bread. |

Well located, approx. half a mile from Chesters centre,Very well appointed, and remeniscent of a bygone era.We had a basic double room, which was adequate, rather than luxurious, and the large bed was not particularly comfortable. However, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.Excellent breakfast. |

The style of the hotel, old fashion but modern. This in combination with the location gives the hotel many of my stars. The quality of the room doors. Need to improve the insulation for better silents and sleep in the room. |

The comfort of the rooms, the breakfast and helpfulness of the chef, and the location close to the railway station. Not keen on the bar area in the queens. |

Room was good with pleasant views. Staff were helpful No fridge in room (even though an "executive" room). Not enough parking for the number of guests. |

The standard of food and staff in the main restaurant was of a very high order and would recommend to anyone ! Even with the radiator turned off the temperature in the bedroom was too high due to radiation from the pipes running through ! Opening the window let in the noise from the local buses. |

The steak in the restraunt. Great food and great service. The price for drinks in the bar is a bit on the steep side! |

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staf were friendly and experienced. The food was good with a wide selection. The hotel location was ideally positioned for road and rail access and just a short distance from the city centre. The free bus transport was also ideal. |

A warm and friendly hotel with very well appointed rooms. Great breakfast and quirky public spaces. Excellent real fire in the lounge to come back to after a chilly autumnal walk. |

Convenience to the railway station. Good breakfast choices. Shocked by the constant loud and tuneless music played in the restaurant and the very unhelpful attitude of the dining room staff when we asked for the music to be turned down. I have complained already so this is more in the nature of a suggestion. |

Initial reception speedy and effcient, helpful concierge, quiet relaxed atmosphere. Good sized and equiped standard room. Coffee at breakfast could have been stronger/warmer. Sky sports TV in main bar area. |

We needed a centrally located hotel to stay for our daughter's graduation. This hotel drew a wow from us from the very outset! The Receptionists were very welcoming and friendly and seemed genuinely pleased for us that we had been upgraded from a family room to a 4 poster! The lobby leading up the staircase is stunningly decorated. The room was large, lavishly decorated and comfortable with all the essentials you would expect from a 4* hotel. The buffet-style breakfast was more than adequate - cereals, toast, fruit juices, fresh fruit plus everything you could want for a full English! It was easy to park in the hotel secure car park (for a reasonable 24 hour fee). This hotel fitted the bill perfectly, we would gladly stay here again. The only negative we can give is no fault with the hotel but the lack of consideration by other guests who seemed unable to shut their room door without banging it loudly at all hours. |
