Really enjoyable stay! Came for a 40th birthday and the staff had decorated the room. Lovely hotel and very clean! All staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal location near the town centre. Would definitely return. Thank you for a great nights stay
It was a nice cosey hotel, it looked like a nice place to stay in a good location.
As i was traveling as part of a young couple the staff seemed to completely ignore us both the greeter that came out in the tail coat walked towards the line of people waiting to check in looked me and my boyfriend up and down then went to the older couple behind us. When we got to the front desk the woman asked us our name and handed us the key without wishing us a nice stay and just told us that we were up the stairs behind the desk, she didnt even tell us which floor while everyone else that stayed were escorted to their rooms and shown the facilities on the way. We tried to look around for the facilities and got lost and didnt feel we could ask the staff walking past because they kept giving us snide looks as if to say that we shouldnt be there. On the bright side it was our anneversary so we ignored all of this and kept ourselves entertained in the town but I feel that after spending 108 pounds on a hotel room for one night we should have been given the same warm treatment as all of the other guests. I will not be staying there again.
Lovley big rooms lovely breakfast
We stayed for our anniversary. Given a complimentary upgrade on arrival, staff werw very friendly & helpful. Really enjoyed ourselves. The room was incredible.
Issue with they keycards not working correctly, but easily rectified by the helpful staff. My wife was also told she had to wear shoes for "security reasons" whilst having breakfast? But offered to keep food warm whilst we went to get them & staff were very apologetic about it.
Location Period hotel Historic plus modern mix Well presented Comfortable Welcoming Would stay again
Room was fairly small, quite dark and dimly lit.
Breakfast very good staff very helpful.
The Parking is very expencive saying the 1 right behind the hotel is £9 cheaper .
We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. We had an executive room, which was very nice with tasteful decor. Everything about our stay was perfect.
Rooms were excellent, beds very comfortable. Good breakfast.
Would have preferred being in the older, main part of the hotel.
The bed was amazing! Huge bath in the bathroom and a big shower too! Great facilities and right next to the train station!
Noisy upstairs neighbours. Very creaky floorboards!
The style of the hotel.
When we arrived we were informed of an upgrade. We were pleasently surprised by the standard of the room. Spacious, comfortable, luxurious. The room reflexted the reat of the hotel as well. Staff were friendly and all ran smoothly.
The wifi access was not brilliant however only being there one night it wasnt too much of an issue. It would have been nice to have a later checkout. 11am felt like a bit of a rush.
Refurbished King's Suites. Breakfast. Wifi.
Parking charge - why £5 more for Friday/Saturday when £10 is quite high already. Location a bit far from the city shopping centre. Climate control not working in the bedroom
You gave a upgrade and she said yes
We had a room in the Kings Quarters on 2nd Floor ( Chinese Kings) Our room was spacious with 2 large and very comfortable single beds. Our porter demonstrated the lighting which could be set to whatever your mood...! Very nice ensuite with separate bath and shower. Lovely bar area and very friendly staff
Price to park in hotel car park
hospitality first class easy access to city and surrounding areas food evening meal and breakfast excallent
Ambience and location
Due to coach parties arriving unexpectedly unable to have choice of restaurants as we though, unable to get seat in lounge And bar areas, breakfast also devided not to have as again ver taken by coach party and lat evening rowdy in courtyard unable to get to sleep until finally staff managed to disperse.
The room was very good staff pleasant and helpful wonderful choice at breakfast
The price I paid for parking a bit to much I expect to pay a small price but 25 pounds for two nights was a bit over priced
The Hotel is a wonderful trip back in time, there are very few hotels like this left in the uk and you should put the Queen Hotel on a list of things to do before you die. the hotel staff and concierge are wonderful welcoming people, the rooms are excellent and furnished to a very high standard, the various Bars and restaurants cant be beaten, the breakfast is heavenly, by far the best hotel I have stayed in within the UK and situated in a wonderful city - A1 service all the way.
There was nothing not to like
location, ambience/decoration of public areas
Location, looked nice
Wet towels and bottle caps on the floor in the room. Bath had hair in it. Used contact lenses next to sink. Wasn't even asked how the service was when I left.
Excellent experience - 1st time visit and very pleased with all aspects of stay - would definitely stay and have already recommended to someone else!
Friendly British staff who were always keen to acknowledge you including very cheerful cleaners( not something used to in London) Location is brilliant do not need a car for a weekend in Chester.
Paying for it.
Whats not to like, staff were very helpful, Queen Ann room was wonderful, The food was first class in both restaurant and bar.the hotel decor is very unusual, kind of a quaint old style and blends well with the modern. We will stay here again the next time were in Chester.Very handy for the Railway station also.Highly recommended !!!!!!!!!
