Staff very helpful. Rooms very nice. Breakfast excellent.
Traffic noise early morning.
Excellent location with friendly staff. Really comfatable bed and the breakfast was lovely, especially the sausages.
The room was cold. Also we got a drink from the bar after our return from the first direct arena and sat next to the fire but we were asked to move while the staff set up the room for the next day.
Was given poor room at first and then relocated to better room. Found this strange as the hotel was quiet, why didn't we get a better room initially
Location ,quiet ,stuff,price
Old building One left Breakfast not included Old equipment in bath room
Location was good
my room (207) was above the delivery area so very noisy early morning with very little sound proof. The hotel car park was very expensive £20 overnight, the carpark is small and tight and due to a blocked exit having to turn a sizable car in a tight space is no good, thankfully there was a couple of empty spaces or it would have been impossible.
Car park is bad, have to walk 10mins to the car park(which is not owned by hotel and you have to pay
No Bar available early evening
Value for money rooms, warm, great showet
No wake up call as promised. Dated bathroom, looked like a grandmas bathroom
A short walk from the train station, staff were helpful and it wasn't too far from the First Direct Arena in a taxi. The room had everything it needed including an iron and board. Bathroom was big and clean. Would stay there again.
Shower wasn't very hot
The exterior of the hotel and the lobby are very nice. The receptionist was polite and helpful.
The room was very noisy from the disco below. We were on the quiet third floor however the music from the party did seem to be amplified by the narrow distance between the buildings so that it was very loud. The bed is a very small double. Dirty plates were still in the corridor at 5.30pm.
Hotel staff very helpful
Room could have better needs a makeover
Booked a twin room expecting two singles in one room - arrived to find a room with separate bedroom. My daughter and I had the luxury of a queen sized double each :)
We were on the top floor so a little out of the way and no lift access.
The building was very nice and clean. An option came up if you wanted a room on the upper floors? I said yes..............
The floor was the sixth and the lift goes to the fifth. Glad no health issues but not too keen being in the loft space as I do believe the other rooms are excellent. Car park was £20 for 24hrs:(
Choice of hot & cold buffet.
Ran out of plates for hot buffet, then when they came out they were cold. Frequently ran out of hot breakfast items so guests had to form a waiting queue. Brought the teapot to the table, but no cups to drink it from!
Staff were friendly. Location close to shops and station.
Room was dull, dark and depressing with very little comfort. Making up the room was done very sloppily with towels not changed when needed. The room keys repeatedly needed to be renewed. Building old and needs a total refurb. Windows old and rattled. Not much room in the bathroom. Parking facilities dreadful.
Great example of architecture Efficient and friendly reception and bar staff
Room supposed to be upgraded but seemed very ordinary apparently due for a refurbishment soon. Breakfast service slow. Why can't you order poached egg ON toast? Eggs turn up on a plate and you look for the toaster!
Central location with on-site parking. Helpful staff. Impressive architecture. Decor looking slightly tired but everything worked.
size of room, comfort of bed. Very nice bathroom.
Decor modern but rather dull. No double glazing in front room. Breakfast - prefer the choices offered by 'premier inn' Foyer/reception area not very comfortable or welcoming 2 conferences taking place on our dates so restaurant closed Lighting and ambience of breakfast restaurant
Picture of room when booking isn't what I got. The single business room shows a double bed but the room I got had single bed. I was on the top floor and internet access was impossible. Other guests very noisy well up to 5am! A very disappointing stay and not worth the £124 I paid.
Location Interior of hotel Room itself Parking availabilty
Almost no water pressure in shower Tired looking bathroom in general Plumbing a bit suspect
Had very relaxing stay.Central location, beautiful building.
A little dated, some areas could do with updating.
Room wasn't very big and wasn't worth the money paid to stay
Nice staff, nice room, good breakfast (catered for my gluten free needs). Excellent all round
The beds the staff and how clean it was
