Central location was great. The main facilities were good as I was attending a course in the hotel. The room was a bit shabby, the net curtain had been torn and then badly mended. It needs put in the bin!! The bath surround had a tile missing. The bedding had seen better days and needs replaced.

The room was great and the staff were friendly. In an okay location. I booked at this hotel as booking.com advertised it as having a 'fitness centre'. This 'fitness centre' comprised of 1 bike machine 1 exercise ball and a 3 or 4 medicine balls - hardly enough for a work out! If, like me, you like staying in a hotel with a gym so when you're traveling with work you can keep up with your fitness regime this is not the hotel for you.

I have stayed at the Met twice before on Business trips so new the hotel well and its location. The hotel is only a 5 min walk from the railway station and as we were planning to travel to Leeds by train on the Settle Carlisle railway I wanted a hotel near the station. I also new that the hotel is located only approx. 5 minute walk from the main shopping area. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The room we were allocated (123) must be the worst room in the hotel. It is very compact (i.e. small) for a couple. Also it is right next to the kitchen roof, I think, and the extract fans runs all night making it difficult to sleep. If I was staying there again I would refuse this room.

Had a few issues with the hotel which we brought up with the manageress, who assured someone would call us. It has been a week and still no call. You would think when a rat runs over your foot someone would be concerned, also we got the impression this hotel caters more for buisness confrences not tourist.

Centrally placed. Staff was helpful and cordial. Rooms are very old, the heater was insufficient to heat the room, felt very cold during the night. Officials should look in to this and install suitable heating in those old style big rooms. Parking space is horrible, very small and miniscule, the charge for 24 hours of £10 was too high. They shouldnt charge people who are paying anyway to stay in the hotel.

It was a great deal - a two night stay with a free dinner on one night with a £10 drinks voucher as well. Nothing to complain about - everything was great and I will be using it again in a few weeks time when I have another course to attend in Leeds.

The location was good and the rooms were comfortable They messed up our booking, so rather than getting 5 twin rooms and 1 single, we ended up with 4 twin rooms and 3 singles. This was annoying as it meant that some of the group had to stay on their own. The rooms were not ready in time, so we could not check in until 2 hours after the designated checking in time.

Pretty building and good breakfast My room was best described as looking like a student's bedsit, except that it was impossible to connect to the internet and the television did not work (despite reporting it twice)

Position was good for us. we arrived on a Monday , at 1 p.m , an dwere told that , despite our room beiong ready for occupation , that we could not check in for another hour ! So, we checke din our luggage , and the reception staff asked us to wait in a lounge area which contained a DIY coffee machine. When we made ourselves a drink , a member of staff came in to tell us that not only were we not allowed to use the machine , but that the drinks should be returned to the hotel , and also further admonished that , if the hotel offered free drinks , the Met would have to contend with the enitire population of Leeds 'helping themselves'. Our suggestion then to the Met would be to either ensure that signage reflects this or not to provide a DIY machine. Small point, but the pedantic nature of the staff did not endear us to the hotel.

I am particularly impressed that they have single rooms so a single traveller isnt stung for a supplement However!! I phoned three or 4 times on my drive to the hotel early evening an Saturday and there was no-one to answer my call (to check they were expecting me, and to see if I could order supper) also when we got to the bar...at about 8.30 on a Saturday, with other customers in the bar too...we had to go to find someone to serve us, not once nut twice? Odd -and very poor service rally on a Saturday night.....in fact it put e off eating there the nexy day as I knew we d wait for hours for any service!! Sorry...not what I d expect of 4 stars!!

The staff were very friendly. The hall seating area with open fire was very nice. The service in the bar was unbelievably slow. There was no one there! On a Saturday night...? I had to go & ask at reception, they said they'd send someone then we still had to wait. The room did not look at all like the advertised picture which I think is unfair/misrepresentation. It had not been modernised and looked very eighties in decor.
