Overlooking Manchester’s Salford Quays, this hotel offers free parking and modern rooms. It has easy access to the city centre by tram, and is less than a mile from Old Trafford.

Score from 262 reviews Very good
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Having stayed previously. We did have issues on the first night not helped that we arrived later than we hoped after a tortuous journey. However the following morning the staff could not be more accommodating. Simply could not be faulted in their dealings with us. As a consequence we can only score our stay a 10. Will be back to stay again. An ideal location for travelling into Central Manchester.
staff friendly and the bed was comfortable, location is handy for motorway
bathroom fittings all very dated - same for the room
nice place, good staff, quiet
the bed was quite uncomfortable and very squeaky
Location good for my business links
Bar not stocked, went to local pub great selection of food at very reasonable prices
Everything was fine, room was clean and quiet at night, everything we needed was provided.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. The full english breakfast was excellent, value for money We were able to lock our bikes at up securely out of sight. Bucket and sponges provided to wash down muddy bikes. Despite arriving a bit dirty from bike ride we were welcomed without complaint.Overall very comfortable in a nice peaceful location handy for local restaurants.
Nothing negative to say.
Carpets in toilet and bathroom; Toilet flushing did not shut off; Neglected interior details in the room
Very friendly desk staff with a typically northern style. Clean and definitely a 1960s interior style. Substantial continental breakfast.
The double room was tiny but there was sufficient space in the shower room. It's quaint. The single room was small but laid out well, so comfortable.
Rooms a little tired
Staff were excellent, attentive, and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding not only cooked well but the produce was first class. I must say that in spite of my "Don't Like" comments I would stay again.
Not easy to find if you come in from the "wrong end" of Irlam Road My "double room" was undoubtedly the smallest double I have ever stayed in and although really clean and comfortable it was very "snug". It would have been far better with a single bed in it. I did however get their last room on the night which probably explains it.
We flew in from California to Manchester. This place is located very close to the airport, and was terrific for being able to begin getting over our initial jetlag. Easy reach of places to eat within walking distance; nice neighborhood; comfortable accommodations. For our family, we had two rooms with two bathrooms--needed to cimb steep stairs, but the arrangement was perfect for my husband, me, and 3 young adult children. Nice breakfast in the morning.
My husband said there were some springs poking in him in the bed, but overall we were all very comfortable.
We stayed in the garden apartment which was lovely and ideal for our use as we were down for son's wedding. Good value for money too.
Other rooms we had for other family members were pretty small but there are different standards of rooms so we should probably have up- graded.
The location and accessibility to the main motorways and to the nearby towns was very good. The morning receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
A small room and in particular the shower room was very compact with layout not quite at the most convenient.
location romantic hotel bar breakfast staff friendliness
room size bathroom size bathroom ammendmends
Good locoation. Nice Staff
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, ample parking and minutes walk to center of Sale
Room was a bit cramped for 2 people
Very friendly helpful staff. A lovely warm hotel and a good breakfast. our room a bit small but the rest of the family stayed in the apartment which was very nice and lovely comfortable beds. We were going to Old Trafford and the hotel is ideal as close to the tram which takes you to Old Trafford and coming back is great as after a football match the majority of people are going back into Manchester on the Tram and not many fans travelling to Sale! Ideal. All in all a great place.
Ideal to get into Manchester by tram. Will definitely stop here again
lovely friendly staff in kitchen old world charm
Sale Metrolink station was only 5 minutes walk away, as well as loads of shops for everyday needs and then further down were more shops. Old Trafford is only 3 stops away too. Had a good selection of coffee and tea etc. The location itself was very pleasant and safe, didnt feel like looking over my shoulder at all.
The room was not as expected. It was a very very dated room compared to the other rooms, the photos gave me the impression i would get the same quality but i was let down. I paid £65 for a night, whereas on a previous visit to elsewhere in Manchester i paid £35 and got a better quality room. The room itself was very small, the toilet was something from the 1980s, the shower was installed in the room and looked out of place and didnt even have a roof. What i realised is that the solo traveller get the short straw in this situation, they obviously want to attract the couple due to the money they bring in. Also, got woken up constantly during the night from idiots being loud - someone came back late and was banging on their room door, and another room slammed it's door and shouted an expletive, it wasnt the quality of night i was expecting.
Very friendly staff, good sized rooms with massive en suites. Good variety for breakfast in the morning, and very close to places you can eat out
Nice warm comfotable room
