Location, helpful staff and will be returning in the not too distance future
Staff were great, hotel was really nice inside and out, Gym was very good and overall value was great as well
Large numbers of wait staff at breakfast who didnt provide any service. Waited over 30 minutes for coffee eventually having to track someone down and requesting it .
We stayed overnight after going to twickenham, was sorry I didn't have time to use the pool or spa, bar area looked lovely. Breakfast was very good, all staff excellent - lovely grounds
Only a shower in bathroom, no bath. bed wasn't very big for 2 of us, am used to a bigger bed and we felt a bit squashed and both had back ache the next morning
The Club-like ambiance reflecting the Lansbury's history. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and co-operative. The location is perfect.
I like every thing about the hotel
Food was good Standard room but a little basic Reception helpful Concierge organised match venue transport Great wifi worked well
Not enough parking spaces but you did not mention space across the road? Dining room has small table close to reception desk result guest get two or three rear ends almost in their faces actually about 4 feet away I complained which did not please the staff table needs relocation
Stayed in 2013 much improved Bar and Lounge area staff very good
Breakfast was not up to standard the plates and food was cold the buffet has been moved into conservatory next to French doors cant see how they can keep food hot the doors were always being opened and the kitchen is 50 metres away real shame
As above. The whole experience was great especially for the friends who travelled with us, their first experience of that part of London was super.
A very comfortable stay, attentive staff, an absolute delight.
The friendliness of the staff. The quiet location.
Having had a very friendly and smooth check in, my whole visit to "The Lensbury" was first class. The atmosphere throughout my stay was of a calm and well organised "club" where nothing was too much trouble. Certainly if you've had a "bad day at the office" and need to unwind try "The Lensbury"
the resort had many sports facilities. the bar and lounge were lovely.
The room was very small and there was no privacy screen between the door and the bed. The room was too hot with no air conditioning. we could not open the window due to noise of fans from below.
Good facilities for those who simply want to relax and do not want to move any further than the Lensbury over the whole weekend. Also the proximity of Teddington offering good shopping and eating facilities
Can be somewhat crowded over a limited breakfast time and also minimal evening events means a large bar and lounge facility under utilised.
Lovely room, although not clean. Staff at breakfast very attentive.
Reception staff rude and unhelpful. Sliding door shut on my head causing a bruise, no apology or concern forth .
The hotel has just undergone a major refurbishment, which has made the reception area and bar very attractive. There is a conservatory which is lovely but doesn't really seem to know it's purpose. Staff were polite, even if not very well trained. Views and grounds lovely. We stay in hotels quite frequently so we always tell staff the positve, but the negative outweighed them this time.
I booked the room at least 4 months in advance and asked for a quiet room, it was also a superior room(which should have more space). The rooms location(264) was above the vents for the swimming pool and therefore we couldn't open the windows for the noise, the room was so small that on my partners side of the bed he had to walk crablike to access the bed and bathroom! The room was smart but not in the superior bracket. We also booked a table in the restaurant, our table was near the kitchen and lots of footfall to the function room. Service was so slow we left our table and had food from the bar(where the service was brilliant) I did mention this on checking out, and did receive an apology.
lovely location by teddington lock. We arrived on 31st October when there was a Halloween celebration in the evening. This was wonderful - lots of choice of food (I had tasty chicken curry and my partner had a burger which was v good too). The firework display was awesome. We had rugby tickets and it was easy to get to Twickenham stadium on the bus. After the match we ate that evening in the restaurant and had a lovely meal which was reasonably priced. Others have commented on the expensive winelist but we asked for the House red which was a lovely Shiraz that we had tried the night before - it was only £15 and is highly recommended. The mock library area is a comfortable place to relax in the morning with the ample supply of newspapers. The grounds are lovely to walk around with the sound of the Thames as accompaniment. Al in all one of our best hotel breaks. A special thank you to the attentive and friendly staff throughout the hotel.
Nothing we didn't like
No bath in my room no where to put anything in the bath room (needs a table ) View over air conditioning plant spoils view of garden Don't like having to order at the counter for drinks Why no service ? Appear to be waiters but they don't take orders for tea drinks etc
Lovely setting, good facilities and pleasant public areas, competent staff
Standard rooms are pretty basic, but very clean, adequately furnished and good value
Nice and clean Location Value
You had kettle in the room What for
Facilities very good plus close to famous attractions
Quite liked everything, good breakfast, good service, pleasant surroundings
I would expect shower gel, tea/coffee and biscuits to be topped up or replaced for the second night's stay
Small double bed for 2 adults, no where to hang towels or put toilet bag in bathroom, ginger biscuits, room very hot.
