The Lensbury is a well - appointed , comfortable and elegant hotel in a beautiful , quiet location close to Teddington Lock . Personally I required a quiet room as I needed to be up early each day to attend a convention . A room on the 3rd floor overlooking the beautiful grounds was superb .
As I only required a single room the bathroom facilities were just a shower cubicle , no bath . For me , I did not like the fact the shower was fixed on the ceiling with no option to alter the height or direction of said shower . As a female I felt this was not well - designed ( obviously thought out by a man ! ) as it was not easy to keep one's hair dry , even with the aid of a shower cap , which I loathe ! I would also have liked to have had the choice of having room - service for breakfast . Room service is available at all other times of the day , surely this should include breakfast too in a hotel of this calibre ?
Location and surroundings second to none.
Room to small although very clean and modern.
Staff were very friendly,
new bar. first class facilities in the room. we just keep coming back
Staff, layout, location and views from the garden.
Constant motor noise from my room which I think may of been air conditioning unit or lifts in the corridor.
Train station free shuttle bus Excellent breakfast Great bar and gym
Loved the hotel and grounds. Location excellent. Breakfast was first class. Very clean, new towels every day.staff polite, well mannered. Lots of parking. Standard room was fine. Would recommend to friends. Thank you
Didn't,t particularly like the over head shower. Would have preferred one that is on the wall.
The service by staff from reception to waiting was very welcoming and attentive , accommodation was to a good standard and spacious, the food was excellent and at a reasonable cost, clean surroundings very relaxing ,friendly atmosphere. The recommended Taxi service Parkers also gave excellent service over our stay. An enjoyable experience
There was a wedding reception on the Saturday evening and it would have been good to have been advised of this as the sound of music could be heard in our rooms on the second floor but finished promptly at midnight. We had been pre warned by email of building works being underway during the day period but fortunately we were out most of the day
Cleanliness. Great facilities. Excellent service at all hours
Limited menu choices Food quality suffered in the evening when very busy
Excellent facilities in very large grounds right on the river Thames. There is an excellent playground for children. Our room was very clean, well equipped including a very large comfy bed. The restaurant overlooks the river and has a very good selection for the buffet breakfast
The hotel, grounds, food all excellent
The facilites and location of the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
Our room was quite small, on a previous stay we had one overlooking the front of the hotel.
Good central location and local cycle paths into London and alongside the Thames. Unfortunately i did not have my bike with me as could have enjoyed some days cycling, maybe next time and sure my son of 10 years old would enjoy it also.
The location and the staff were very good
The room was too small and very cramped for our liking , single room queen sizes bed far too small
Freeshuttle-service till Teddington trainstation twice a day to central London. Free use of 25 meter Swimmingpool. Great buffet breakfast, both English as well as continental. Free parking High European standard on room incl toilet and shower. Close to good golf courses. Plenty of tennis courts. The closest town center has plenty of nice restaurants and one feel secure, nice pubs in the neighbourhood if one don't want to take the dinner or drink at the Lensbury.
Professional and courteous staff. Very smooth check-in and check-out process. Excellent choice of breakfast items for the complimentary buffet breakfast. Clean and comfortable room and furniture. Excellent layout. Great facilities and surroundings for an overall "resort" experience facing the river Thames for a very reasonable cost.
There was a misunderstanding regarding the shuttle service timings. The front desk staff said the shuttle service would come for a pick-up from the local train station but failed to mention that this would be only during its operating hours. When asked the shuttle service driver, he clarified this point.
Clean, good location and breakfast
Standard room was quite small for the price

Location excellent, good for staying put or exploring the sights of London. Room bijou but comfortable and well appointed. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food well presented and good value. Access to sports facilities a bonus.
Nothing springs to mind.
Standard room quite compact by beautifully appointed
Facilities Grounds Bar All very good
Wifi no good
The staff from booking in to booking out were excellent, very good facilities.
Everything - especially the sound of the river and weir.
We enjoyed our stay at the Lensbury. It has a great location on the river and the hotel is smart and modern and our room had good facilities and a nice bed.
We booked an Executive double room because other reviews had mentioned that normal rooms were small. The Executive double boasted a lounge area and the photo on the website shows a large room with several sofas and chairs. It turns out there are two types of Executive double rooms- the one in the picture and all the others. Our room (no 160) while very smartly appointed and comfortable with air conditioning was very small and the lounge area consisted of one chair. From the window we had a particularly fine view of the air conditioning plant. It was not easy to get in the door with a suitcase because the bed was so close to it. So the moral is to ask about the size of your Executive double room before booking. They are not all the same and are not all like the one in the picture.
