Toilet did not work Room was much too hot Room too small for such a price
Owner very welcoming; great breakfast with lots of unusual options in addition to the standard fry-up; convenient location just on the edge of the centre, which avoids the worst of the Cambridge traffic
Best location,Friendly staff, delicious B'fast.
Good location, very helpful staff
The room was very small
Staff were lovely, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast good (they went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements) hot water, quiet room.
The room was tiny, and the furniture (apart from the bed) was ancient and rickety, the wallpaper peeling and outdated. There were electrical wires wrapped around the headboard, and the bedside lamps flickered on and off if you leaned back in the bed. It would all be kitsch and funny if it were less expensive, but £85 should get you something less down at heel.
Excellent shower. Tea making facilities. Crisp bed linen. Heated towel rail. Pleasant staff. Thoughtful amenities.
Car parking in Cambridge is a nightmare & now spaces that were once free are now charged. Obviously not the responsibility of the hotel but I had to forgo breakfast in order to move my car.
The location - best for the purpose. The reception staff quite supportive and very helpful. Delicious B'fast
It was steps away from the Fitzwilliam museum, you also have Hot Numbers café steps away, and it is between the train station and the city center, which is practical when one has luggage.
The walls are thin and I could hear the people next door talking and laughing.
The location The atmospere The space and facilities in the roon The breakfast
Lack of car parking spaces. Having to park 1/2 a mile from the hotel.
Friendly helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. 7-10min walk to kings college. Quiet location. Enjoyable stay
Parking very limited at hotel. local parking VERY expensive
The steep stairs
Nice hotel, very close to the City Center, free parking (only 5 spots). Good breakfast (buffet)
No dinner possibilities
Room well-kept but décor a little tired when you looked more closely.
A warm and helpfull staff, made my stay as it was back at home. Since I was on a business trip, location was just perfect. A british typical setting for breakfast, let me had a taste of their traditional ways.
room was excellent
breakfast in conservatory
The Lensfield hotel was very comfortable. Our room wasn't very big but it had everything we needed including tea/coffee. The bedding was very good quality. The room was spotless. The breakfast was very good with a good range of items including fresh fruit, yoghurts, full English, croissants, cereals etc. All the staff were helpful and friendly. It was only a ten minute walk in to town from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
The silicon in the shower could do with being replaced as it was a bit mouldy.
Extremely noisy room with work staff standing immediately outside our bedroom window, shouting and slamming doors. Unable to get any rest all day!
Rooms (one double executive and single executive) were nicely decorated and beds comfortable. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate available as well as complimentary water in rooms. Allowed early check in as we were going to a wedding. Quiet hotel situated in a good location.
Lovely place and staff and location. Minus--very steep stairs and rooms not very soundproof.
Location breakfast parking
For a boutique it was a bit chintzy
Parking was indicated as being available. In practice there is room for 5 small vehicles with parking 200 yards away in residential area. Inconvenient and insecure. Our vehicle was scratched by apparent wilful damage.
The room was good, staff helpful, spa excellent. Breakfast very good. The only thing was we had to be at breakfast by 9 thur/Fri/sat. Which 9.30 would have been better. Enjoyable stay, but quite expensive. £150 a night.
9am the latest time for breakfast.
The staff were very welcoming and professional. Room was clean, warm, and had good wardrobe space, great TV and some cute furnishing touches. Lots of choice at breakfast in a nice dining room. The outside of the hotel looks fantastic, and the spa services appeared good but I didn't get a chance to try any.
The shower wasn't with the toilet in the ensuite section, it was IN the bedroom! The room needed a bit of care - looks 'shabby chic' from a distance, but actually the wallpaper was pealing off at the edges etc. Window wouldn't fully shut. The croissant was stale at breakfast.
The hotel was really cute and had a nice charm. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and there was a lot of choice. The location is just a short walk from the main centre and the place is very beautiful to visit.
The room was very cold and one of the beds was a bit broken. Some of the furniture needs updating. Spa information is not so clear too
