Small single room, but comfy, with an extra chair. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, freshly cooked eggs: best hotel breakfast I've had for years.

No lift, I was two floors up.

It was a bit cold in the room.

The staff were very friendly. Free Wi-fi but couldn't run VPN over it. Nice breakfast

The walls are like paper and the floorboards creak. Earplugs recommended!

Lensfield Hotel was ideally positioned in Cambridge. The staff were polite and courteous and genuinely smiled a lot! A clean dining-room and excellent breakfast fare. The room was smart and well serviced. A very pleasant stay.

City centre location Approachable friendly staff

Old room furniture in need of fixing or replacement, the style is right for the age and look of the hotel, but not when it is falling apart. The auto close mechanism on the room door sagged and hit the top of the door on every open and close. Mark on the door showed it had been doing so for a while and another sign that maintenance of the hotel needs to be improved. Very poor breakfast. A small buffet breakfast is not in keeping with the theme of the hotel. Especially one with odd and unexpected items (spring rolls, quiche, etc.), plus bad tasting coffee.

Personally, I don't like basement bars. Not very conducive to going down in the evening, especially for the lone business person!

The hotel is close by to plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants, and was easy to find walking from the train station. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and fresh.

Is in a fairly good location 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Room was a good size with a nice bathroom.

Does state that it has parking available but it is only 4 spaces so you have to be lucky to get one. Pay & Display parking in the surrounding streets which is free overnight but you will need to pay or park a fair distance away during the day.

The staff were very friendly especially during breakfast. The room was fair sized lovely condition and very clean with good facilities (shower was brilliant). Good location for shopping and seeing Cambridge. A very pleasant stay and would definitely return.

I can't fault the hotel except for price at £99/night for a double room it is fairly expensive but still good compared to other hotels in Cambridge and I would pay it again.

Breakfast venue was very lovely for dining. Room was comfortable. Hotel is in great proximity to Cambridge university faculties and I was able to comfortably walk to and fro as long as I had time. I would recommend Lensfield to other students.

We didn't like the fact that our room was right next to the road. However, when we booked it was the last room available and we needed it so we understand. Breakfast should cater for vegans who do not use dairy by providing a soya milk or other non-dairy milk option.
