The split floor accommodation which meant my daughter had her own space.
The bathroom was on the lower part of the room
the staff on reception
the breakfast area was a little small and crowded
great location, nice rooms, comfy bed
the bar area was disappointing & lifeless
Looked good. Clean. Excellent location.
Very noisy from corridors, plumbing, heating and outside. Got absolutely no sleep until after 4am due to noise. Then awoken by screaming pipework when someone tried to shower early in the next room. Staff not very sympathetic. "sorry we had a party" was the only response.
No cold water in room'kettle didn't work !staff didn't seem bothered or interested!booked this 9 months in advance a so called upgraded room with booked parking didn't even get that as they ran out of passes upper class faulty towers
-Ideally situated to explore city centre. -Comfortable, clean and well maintained -Friendly staff -Generous breakfast -Building's history celebrated in pictures
Location of hotel
No running cold water in room Nespresso coffee machine didn't heat up Bed was a normal double not Kingsize which would expect with a Deluxe room Room situated on street ground floor so bus noise etc
An excellent Hotel with brilliant Reception staff, Gareth & Meg. Nothing was too much trouble and, its position, absolutely ideal for Sheffield. We went to the Crucible Theatre to see Anything goes
Breakfast was disappointing to say the least. Poorly served, presented and cooked.
Nice clean and comfy bedroom in well kept and tidy hotel. Location can't be beaten for Sheffield well definitely be back.
Gym light turns off half way through your run and facilities in the gym are basic
Location and ease of commuting to other areas of the city
Noise from outside even on 5th floor better quality windows needed to muffle sound. Have visited hotel before and complained about noise and were promised quieter room next time but didn't happen
Breakfast room too small
Location, feel and staff were helpful and friendly.
Seating in bar area, really uncomfortable, bar stools especially. Full English breakfast was ordinary. Stayed at the tankersbury the previous night and the quality there was better.
Great city centre hotel, would happily use again
Car park is a 5 minute walk - not ideal in the rain!
Staff were really friendly. Loved complimentary breakfast in bed and fab room! Would stay again!
Hotel was clean and extremely welcoming staff. Bedroom and beds felt very high spec. Hotel with lots of character and history. Even had some spooky visiting in the early morning- unexplained! Will defiantly be staying again when next in sheffield
Cold water within bathroom did not work properly, simple trickle, water for a bath was scolding and had to use shower to cool it down.
The hotel was lovely, rooms very nice. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent. Bed very comfy. On the whole a lovely experience. It is our second stay here and would definitely stay again . Position of hotel is brilliant for restaurants etc.
Told the wrong price of breakfast twice. We were told £9.95. It was in fact £12.95, and not worth that!
Clean comfortable hotel, convenient location, friendly staff
Short walk to park but the parking is under cover and secure
Great hotel in good position
Car park was a bit far away but could drop off cases and check in. It was a shame we were not told that we had to put our original car park ticket in the machine to validate it before putting in the voucher and then to go to the exit. Took half an hour, one unfriendly car park attendant and one friendly attendant to get out!! This should have been clarified when getting the voucher at the hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the centre of town and convenient for shops, etc.
There was club at the back of the hotel which was so noisy we thought we'd left the window open - even after midnight. I mentioned it to the night staff and they did say they would go across and complain. They also provided ear plugs.
stayed here for my graduation weekend, hotel was gorgeous, very clean, friendly staff and a great location. will definitely be back!
I objected to being embarrassed due to not knowing I needed to pay £35 upfront at check I. To cover any additional costs. My partner and I had checked in as we were celebrating our engagement at the Cutlers' Hall. We hadn't transferred additional funds over as we had planned to pay in cash, I front extremely embarrassed and upset, not the star I expected to my evening!
Great location, room and price. Helpful, polite staff. Oscar Wilde may have visited.
No tea and coffee making facilities in room. No mini bar or fridge in room. Full English breakfast was hot and fresh, but a little bland.
