The cuisine was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful
The Sat nav thought it was "off road" which it isn't. The bedroom needed an easy chair and the bathroom somewhere to put toiletries but we really enjoyed our stay and would return
Quality of the establishment
Very comfortable stay, the owner Katie was very hospitable and kind. She held out baby as we had breakfast and provided toys for her. A great home from home, very comfortable beds. The steam showers were a nice touch as well as the complimentary homemade flapjacks in the room. We would definitely go back.
The decor is good quality and very cosy although it was a little bit twee for our tastes. But that's just our preference.
The restaurant with rooms was wonderful. The decor and general standard exceeded expectations and the evening meal was amazing, the attention to detail made it a great experience.
Lovely welcome, helpful staff and very comfortable clean room.
Unfortunately I arrived to be told that chef had been called away so they could not provide dinner. A real shame as it was the reputation of the food that lead to me booking to stay there. Nice Thai 5 mins drive away.
Soft beds and nice modern bathroom. We appreciated the proper coffee and tea station in the room, along with the little treats. The bar area felt private and staff were really helpful.
This restaurant with rooms blew us away, the rooms were beautiful and fixtures and fittings were of top quality. The restaurant was a gastronomic delight, the nibbles and savouries with the drinks in the lounge were lovely and the staff were attentive and helpful. We will be back
Location, comfortable rooms, excellent food, good choice of wines
Nothing of note
The staff were so friendly, efficient and hospitable. The room was well furnished with lots of additional "bits" to make our stay extra comfortable. It was brilliant value for money too. It was overall a great combination of luxury and homeliness.
Driving into a beautiful space, we found a succession of personal touches to the hospitality on offer that made us feel we were in a special place being truly cared for.
Our bedroom was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff we met were all pleasant and helpful. Full english breakfast was tasty with a good choice.
Very comfortable bed.
My wife is a vegetarian and only eats small portions. I phoned to ask about only having a small portion and they said they would be able to sort something out. They charge £35.95 for a 3 course meal. She only had 1 course and we were still charged the fixed price. We were celebrating our anniversary and didnt want to make a fuss at the time. The outside had a lot of run down structures that were an eyesore to look at. Such as what looked like a filled in swimming pool and lots of concrete and brick that wasnt very nice to look at.
The room was clean and tidy albeit small. The grounds were lovely.
Staff felt a bit intrusive (wanting to know what time we'd be back). Room was full of chincey little things that made it feel quite cluttered and cramped. We were presented with burn toast for breakfast - how hard is it to make toast that isn't burnt? The bill we were given at the end didn't include the deposit we had already paid. Wouldn't go back.
Great location; great staff and excellent food (both breakfast and dinner).
Wifi in room was patchy; small bed.
The service was fantastic The food was outstanding Extremely clean Staff working went over and above
The evening meal and breakfast were some of the best hotel food I have had and I travel a lot with my job. Very tranquil and peaceful, away from the madness of summer holiday hotels. The staff were very keen to make my stay an enjoyable and comfortable one.
Nothing. A refreshing change from the usual chain type hotels.
Room decor was nice, staff helpful, clean, comfy bed and nice pillows.
Sunday morning we could hear banging and footsteps from 7am until 9am. Was our chance for first Lay in for about a year and we couldn't because of the banging. Quite expensive for location.
A bed from heaven, beautiful bathroom.
Room and general quality of furnishing, decor etc
Very friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble Room was excellent
Air bath did not work, which was a disappointment
This place has an ambiance of simplicity, luxe and class.
Very convenient location for our trip
quiet, good food, easy and not complicated
Very friendly and just likebeing in you own home
Lovely stay. The owner/ Staff were 1st Class.
