Very comfortable hotel with good food and friendly service. The location was perfect with our room having a wonderful sea view. I had to park my car off site on the Wednesday night because the car park was full of non residents cars (a function at the hotel that evening.

We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and location (the beach being near). We were on honeymoon and appreciated the upgrade to a suite with sea view. We felt that the new metal fencing alongside the woodland boundary was very obtrusive due to its colour and that it should be finished in black. However, we appreciate it may yet still be unfinished!

The staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly and the standard of the room was excellent. A roaring open fire in the evenings made the lounge very cosy. We only stayed for bed and breakfast, so can't comment on the evening meal, but breakfast was enjoyable and good value. Lovely sea views and a good location for visiting the North Norfok coast. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location right on the seafront with perfect views. Nice cosy lounge areas with open fire. Breakfast very good with quick service and staff very attentive. Handy to have the Ancient Mariner bar/restaurant nextdoor. Close proximity to the craft centre opposite the hotel, which is truly worth a visit. Sash window in room not easy to open. Bathroom a little small, no bath available in our room. Smell of kitchen in room on occasion, due to closeness of extractor - not too bad in winter, but could be a problem in the summer when windows open more.

The location right on the beach. Dinner meal was average with undercooked vegetables but overcooked french fries. The requested Sunday Paper was never ordered despite being asked the question upon check-in. Over- enthustiastic housekeeping knocking on the door at 9am despite a do not disturb sign.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's right on the beach and it has its own pub next door, as well as hotel bar, restaurant, and lounges. I found it the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. I will definitely go back. As it was out of season, the hotel was quiet so they gave me a free upgrade to a big room, which was an added bonus.

Good location, food, service and friendly staff. Hotel fine but not the Ancient Mariner pub adjacent: Good food there but indifferent staff and poor housekeeping, E.g, tables always sticky and wet. Staff didn't want to know when this was pointed out.

The setting. We spent a very pleasant afternoon sitting outside while the children played in the playground and the vast area of grass. Also lovely walk to the beach that is very close by. The only thing that spoiled the stay slightly was the quality of the shower which was no more than a dribble.

Location, perfect. Room, staff, cleanliness, service, all of a very high standard. I would recommend the hotel but note my comment below. The food and service at Breakfast was very good but we had one evening meal which was not up to standard and we waited 50 mins for it. A much better meal and better service in the Mariners pub next door. THE ROOM WAS A PREMIER DOUBLE,NOT SINGLE AS SHOWN BELOW

The food was excellent! When I first arrived 2 members of staff were busy with calls, (one of which I am sure could have been speeded up as it was about coming back to fix the electrics in a room!) I understand this however they did not evem make eye contact to apologise! It was also extremly busy at check out time! (similar thing with 1 of the same staff!)
