The hotel is in a great location and with a lovely view of the sea. It is very close to family and the staff are very helpful. We will be coming back to this hotel again and hope to spend longer next time. I would not let people smoke at the front entrance, because you smell the smoke when coming in or going out of the hotel and is unpleasant. It would be nice to ask guest to smoke at a delegated area away from the front doors.

The location right on the beach. Dinner meal was average with undercooked vegetables but overcooked french fries. The requested Sunday Paper was never ordered despite being asked the question upon check-in. Over- enthustiastic housekeeping knocking on the door at 9am despite a do not disturb sign.

We liked the superb location and the layout of and facilities at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room was lovely with splendid views. It was also very clean and comfy. We were upgraded to a suite before we arrived because of a hotel function that weekend which was very much appreciated. We ate at the Ancient Mariner which forms part of the hotel on the Saturday evening which had a nice atmosphere and the food was really good. Sunday morning breakfast had a really varied menu and the food was lovely. There was also adequate car parking available. We had an excellent break at Le Strange Arms and will definitely be returning.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's right on the beach and it has its own pub next door, as well as hotel bar, restaurant, and lounges. I found it the perfect place to relax for a couple of days. I will definitely go back. As it was out of season, the hotel was quiet so they gave me a free upgrade to a big room, which was an added bonus.

Its location is brilliant especially for us birdwatchers. The bed could have been firmer and the pillows were the 'bouncy' sort! It was also very hot in the room even though the window was wide open and the heating off.

Good room, lovely bright bathroom with good mirrors. A disagreement in the bar between two members of staff was an unnecessary distraction from our stay. Apart from this all was well.

Good location, food, service and friendly staff. Hotel fine but not the Ancient Mariner pub adjacent: Good food there but indifferent staff and poor housekeeping, E.g, tables always sticky and wet. Staff didn't want to know when this was pointed out.

The setting. We spent a very pleasant afternoon sitting outside while the children played in the playground and the vast area of grass. Also lovely walk to the beach that is very close by. The only thing that spoiled the stay slightly was the quality of the shower which was no more than a dribble.

Location, perfect. Room, staff, cleanliness, service, all of a very high standard. I would recommend the hotel but note my comment below. The food and service at Breakfast was very good but we had one evening meal which was not up to standard and we waited 50 mins for it. A much better meal and better service in the Mariners pub next door. THE ROOM WAS A PREMIER DOUBLE,NOT SINGLE AS SHOWN BELOW

The food was excellent! When I first arrived 2 members of staff were busy with calls, (one of which I am sure could have been speeded up as it was about coming back to fix the electrics in a room!) I understand this however they did not evem make eye contact to apologise! It was also extremly busy at check out time! (similar thing with 1 of the same staff!)

I first saw the hotel when I visited the beach as a child over 50 years and admired the "posh hotel". Having always wanted to stay there I'm delighted to say that I wasn't disappointed!

Convenience of location and comfort. We had been advised about possible noise from the function room. There was actually a wedding party while we were staying, but could hardly hear any noise: our room overlooked the shop.
