The food was exceptionally good. The staff welcoming and always helpful.
The first room we were shown bore no resemblance to the one shown on the website. However we were moved to a much nicer room with no fuss.
We arrived early and wanted to book a table at Lyttons restaurant, only to be told there wasn't a table available until 8.30pm, but as soon as I said we'll go elsewhere, the receptionist said we could have a table at 6.45pm, which we accepted, however when we turned up the restaurant was empty, and when we finished our meal, the restaurant was only half full. So do not understand why we were told otherwise.
Room was large - bed comfortable and most staff very helpful
Air conditioning did not work, windows did not open. Staff unconcerned. Room was disabled friendly not mentioned in booking. room a long way from reception
They were all very helpful with my elderly mother. And did there best to get us into dining room etc. Only shame was we were on different floors.
Woke up covered in bites. Charging £16.95 for breakfast after I spent £79 on the room is disgusting.
Everything perfect. ..keep on doing that....
Nice friendly staff who were always happy to help. Room was nice and clean and beds were comfy.
Booked a superior double but were given a twin. Didn't complain though as were only paying a single person supplement anyway. Stayed in room 18 and whenever I was awake I could hear the pipes/hot water which was annoying.
A good comfortable hotel. The staff were very good, helpful and friendly
First Class service in excellent surroundings, Evening Meal was superb, as was choice of continental beers
My window would not close, therefore noise from below
Ease of access, plenty of parking, comfortable room.
Gloomy bar and public areas.
The surroundings, proximity to Letchworth, and access to health centre.
Room was rather tired and needed refurbishment. The worst aspect was the poor air-conditioning which could not cope with the hot nights we experienced during our stay. We had to ask for a sheet because the duvet was far too heavy for a UK summer!
hotel was lovely, and breakfast was excellent, will stay here again!
REception staff excellent but staff in evening restaurant seemed to lack co-ordination in their duties.
Ethos was good. Nice atmosphere.
Window catch was broken and coul dnot shut the window fully.
Nice Hotel in nice location. Attentive dining room staff also staff generally.
Although the housekeeping was good the smell of cigar or cigarette smoke was intolerable in room 64, so will not be staying there again. It was so bad we could not sleep, plus the window was locked and there was no way to get fresh air into the room other than opening the door to the corridor which made no differance. Awful and really poor. Queues at reception are always expected but the sole member of staff was run of his feet and kept having to visit the room behind reception it took ages. Back to Premier group i guess. Regards David Henderson
Comfortable rooms Nice setting
Slow, disinterested staff after check-in. Looked very disorganized when we were there. First night opted for bar menu. Slow to take order. Sow to arrive and serve. 2 star food in a 4 star hotel. WiFi working in reception and downstairs but not in rooms.
Breakfast in a nicely furbished room. Buffet had everything Room wel equipped
Shower really too small.. Bathroom soaking wet after just one shower. Airconditioner blowing right at you whilst in bed or at desk
Use of the pool was relaxing. Staff were helpful in moving us to a quiet room as there was a wedding reception in the evening
Able to park our rental car close to our room. Excellent room with plenty of floor space.
Beautiful old building that was well maintained,
Food was mediocre, on of my party wanted a main meal that was on the bar menu which was refused. The bathrooms in 3 out of4 rooms had not used and not cleaned
The Breakfast was superb
Room had cobwebs in it
Location and friendly/serviceminded personnel
WiFi not working in room. Several light bulbs were not working and low standard on bathroom and a very small room. Excpeted more for the cost of the room.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. A place lives or dies by it's staff and everyone we met were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.
Wifi a bit slow on occaisions
most staff were great, grounds were nice well kept.
the ensuite had spiderwebs over towel rail, corners of floor, and toilet, and had been there some time as they were covered in dust. also the air conditioner was as noisey as hell could not stay in same room as air con, and it was covered in spiderwebs, window latches were broken seems the room was broken into at some time, told staff member on afternoon of arrival all of the above, had no feedback at all, it spoiled a nice break, Letchworth hall hotel has one too many stars I think.
