Beautifully restored large country home, with so much classical feel and comfort. Like going to someone's home and being welcomed so warmly there. Something you could imagine a princess living in, in the beautiful country area of Scotland

The house is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished, in a lovely setting. Very comfortable bed, and high spec bathroom. Made to feel very welcome by the owners. Excellent breakfast worth having the full English.

I have had the pleasure at staying at Letham House previously (with work) and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. This last visit was with my husband and will not be a one-off occurance. Planning to return in February.

This is a beautiful old house set in large peaceful grounds. The room was very comfortable with many extras. The owner is extremely helpful and approachable. I liked it a lot!

Letham House is definitely the best place I stayed while in Scotland. The house is beautiful, very clean, comfortable and has modern luxurious bathrooms (best shower in Scotland!!). Breakfast was really good too. But the accommodation is only surpassed by the owner and her staff. They were wonderful - kind, helpful, friendly but not at all intrusive. There is assistance when needed but privacy as well. After a long couple of days travel and finding no cars available at the airport, they made a call and I was able to hire a car locally within a matter of minutes. Then the owner called a taxi to take me to get the car. I enjoyed it so much I actually returned to Letham House unexpectedly on the last night of my trip and was so pleased they had a room available for me. It was just as wonderful the second time. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Edinburgh area.

I liked everything about Letham House. It is a beautiful privately-owned country house in a quiet secluded location. The area used by guests is elegantly and comfortably furnished. The food was superb. The owner was extremely hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The other guests were charming. I would have no hesitation in recommending it as a place to stay.

We were attending a family wedding in Dunbar so the House was ideally situated. We loved the huge bathroom and bedroom with garden views. Our hosts were delightful and attended to every need. We had breakfast outdoors in the beautiful gardens. We will return to the area again to explore and stay again.

Pretty Perfect

Like staying with friends but without feeling obliged to them or intruding on them. A comfortable, luxurious house within a lovely setting. The food was of the first quality.

Nice house

I could not find the place. Police, post office did not know where it was. FinAlly cabby directed us. Owner said the directions were "perfect on the web". They don't want a sign out to attract customers. Just the name of the house, no b and b could be a great help. Very frustrating and a waisted hour and a half driving around.

Beautiful country hotel in Haddington, a pleasant town near Edinburgh.The room and bathroom (!) had magnificent views over the gardens and fields. Great attention to details. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommendable.

The fact that there is no sign by the roadside to indicate where the place is ,

The staff were friendly and chatty and supplied me with a glass for my wine on my return from the restaurant.

I was not aware I had to book an evening meal in advance which was not available when I got there .It meant I had to go out again and drive home. There was not a bar or drinks available so I had to bring my wine back from the meal. It is more of a house not a hotel. Breakfast is available from 8am quite late if your working on a job- However I was able to order for 7.30

Delightful and friendly and helpful owner. Very comfortable, large bedrooms and warm shower rooms with all comforts catered for. Felt more like staying in a beautiful home than a B&B. Breakfast was delicious and we were able to take it at a very leisurely pace.
