Convenient for Birkenhead and Ellesmere Port, this Premier Inn has great beds, a Greene King restaurant and free parking. It is a 10-minute walk from Bromborough Rake train station.

Wonderfully welcoming, helpful and friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed on New Year's night and everyone helped to make it a very special and memorable occasion indeed. We will be going back!
Port Sunlight is beautiful and the hotel exquisitely furnished and appointed. The decor is tasteful and chic.
There are no tea making facilities in the room, although free tea and coffee can be ordered from room service. Unfortunately when we ordered tea first thing, it never arrived. The dining hall was chilly during breakfast, and the toast arrived halfway through the breakfast. The teapot only contained sufficient tea for 2 1/2 cups, so a second pot needed to ordered. When checking out, reception was unattended and no amount of shouting could summon help. I found the receptionist in the kitchen. The radio light switch in the bedroom is too fiddly. If all the lights are on, and you want to turn one light off, the off button turns all the lights off. There are no bath robes provided, so when the free tea arrives, you have to dress or wrap a towel around your waist. For this price you would expect courtesy robes and slippers as is common elsewhere. Premier Inns are better value for money.
The suite we had was excellent as was the breakfast.....The staff were very helpful
Only one thing let the hotel down .....Our suite was separate from the main hotel which was no problem at all but the walk to it was across a lawn which was a little muddy.....which I am sure they will make a walk way soon .....Other than that a near perfect place to stay
Would recommend this hotel for the fabulously cheerful, attentive and efficient staff. Have rarely encountered cosseting of this standard. Food was very good indeed and the location is terrific.Nice downstairs lounge areas. Must also commend the quality of the tea and biscuits.
For the price, the spa needs to be working.
Lovely location, helpful & friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Our 2nd room ( see right!) was spacious & comfortable.
Our first room smelt of sewers - the toilet had probably blocked up. Our second room, though better, had blinds that were broken. Also, the remote control for the lights was irritating - a good old fashioned light switch would have sufficed! At this price, attention to detail is vital.
Lighting in room was bizarre Shower made bath unusable Limited TV channels No Spa facilities on site
Very comfortable room, the food in the restaurant was a very high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location for a stay in Port Sunlight could not have been better.
As reflected above.
The kitchen. The menu is tired and in need of changing regularly. If you acclaim the quality of local produce then vary and refresh your menu choice more often reflecting its excellence. I also do not wish to hear personal conversations coming through from the kitchen when I'm dining. Just close the doors. I felt your wine list was varied, interesting and well representative of major wine producing areas but please think about a wider choice of wine by the glass of various sizes priced as an alternative to full bottle size. Wider half bottle availability would also provide a wider choice and in keeping with a hotel of quality.
Location, Style of Hotel, Tranquillity
The staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. The building itself - a former hospital - is lovely, and has been restored to its art deco glory with real attention to detail. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with a great wet room shower. Very good breakfast.
There's no air conditioning in the rooms, but that's the price you pay for having a Grade II listed building.
The staff were excellent, the food exceptional and the service pleasant without being overwhelming. The hotel is in a very pleasant, quiet location which is so well maintained you could be anywhere but Britain.
A little on the warm side but understandable given the restrictions of a Grade 2 building.
The impeccable service, the food presentation was perfect, the attention to detail during our meal and after was amazing given that there was a wedding celebration at the same time.
Historic building sympathetically converted to hotel. Beautiful rooms with a lot of art deco features. Extremely comfortable. Staff brilliant - nothing too much trouble for them and all done very willingly with smile. They all knew the history of the hotel and were able to answer all questions. We were very well looked after.
There was nothing to dislike.
