Very comfortable room, the food in the restaurant was a very high quality. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location for a stay in Port Sunlight could not have been better.

    As reflected above.

The kitchen. The menu is tired and in need of changing regularly. If you acclaim the quality of local produce then vary and refresh your menu choice more often reflecting its excellence. I also do not wish to hear personal conversations coming through from the kitchen when I'm dining. Just close the doors. I felt your wine list was varied, interesting and well representative of major wine producing areas but please think about a wider choice of wine by the glass of various sizes priced as an alternative to full bottle size. Wider half bottle availability would also provide a wider choice and in keeping with a hotel of quality.

The staff were excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. The building itself - a former hospital - is lovely, and has been restored to its art deco glory with real attention to detail. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with a great wet room shower. Very good breakfast.

There's no air conditioning in the rooms, but that's the price you pay for having a Grade II listed building.

The staff were excellent, the food exceptional and the service pleasant without being overwhelming. The hotel is in a very pleasant, quiet location which is so well maintained you could be anywhere but Britain.

A little on the warm side but understandable given the restrictions of a Grade 2 building.

The impeccable service, the food presentation was perfect, the attention to detail during our meal and after was amazing given that there was a wedding celebration at the same time.

    no complaints.

Historic building sympathetically converted to hotel. Beautiful rooms with a lot of art deco features. Extremely comfortable. Staff brilliant - nothing too much trouble for them and all done very willingly with smile. They all knew the history of the hotel and were able to answer all questions. We were very well looked after.

    There was nothing to dislike.

We liked the décor and the styling of the hotel very art deco and very much in keeping with the lever Hulme estate.

1St, most hotels advertise the room rates which include the vat the leverhulme doesn't and the vat is on top of the price you see. 2Nd, we were told that there would be other people in the restaurant and the menu in our room looked very inviting, but when we got there, there was only one other couple and the menu had shrunk to just one limited page. 3 Having looked forward to dinner we were staggered at the small amount of food we were offered for our main meal, my 6yr old son could of eaten more let alone an adult. What a disappointment. Overall the hotel lacked atmosphere.
