Good location in a historical setting The upgraded executive rooms were not as described. &Quot;Some rooms have spa bath" - no bath at all! &Quot;Tea and coffee making facilities" - none! &Quot;Larger rooms" - I would hate to see the small ones! Receptionist was apologetic but unmoved by our comments - we still paid 50% more than we would have done for a decent room at the Liverpool Hilton.

Comfy beds. ..lovely staff. .nice breakfast evening meal was average would of expected it to be more of a gourmet standard particularly as there were only one other couple dining. .

Extremely helpful staff (special mention of Emma), lovely historic building, really comfy bed, freshly made tea or coffee brought to your room on request (so much nicer than a kettle and sachets) and gorgeous decor. Good breakfast with lots of options too. It seem churlish to mention small things, but there was a limited tv channel selection (tend to expect at least the full freeview range these days) and the remote control lighting system took a bit of getting used to!

The friendly greeting, large lovely room and fantastic food with some new food creations. Unfortuneately the hotel was in the main far too cold for our liking. Doors and windows rattled because of the wind, hence a very disturbed night with little sleep

Extremely friendly staff, Welcomed us to the room, Excellent furniture also it is in a very nice area. Nice addition was the included free breakfast. Quite far out city centre of liverpool.however this was also one of the nice things away from the hussle and bussle.

Superb location. Spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable. Problems with chef/kitchen. Waited 45 mins for eggs benedict. The chef could not make hollandaise sauce - we could hear him making 2 attempts at it. When it arrived it was extremely poor and actually inedible. Asked for poached egg on toast which after 10 mins never arrived. Left without breakfast. BUT - the manager did ring on my return home to apologise and a refund for the breakfast was given without question.

Beautiful stylish hotel- attended wedding reception in function room which was.great, food was gorgeous, decor great, staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that let it down is the same issue I have read in other reviews- four deep at the bar and didnt open the extra bar. Come on Leverhulme listen to these reviews and open 2 bars and put more bar staff on for functions. The room was great, what was most impressive was that you coulf not hear the function at all from room 2. There are big heavy wooden doors and this seems to help with sound proofing. Had a great spa bath, tv and fancy shower in our bathroom and a selection of quality toiletries. The bed wasnt king size but was very comfY

Prachtig Engels pand, design aankleding. Keuken is culinair - verrassende smaken. In de mooie eetzaal met uitzicht op de tuin, was het helaas wat tochtig en koud, ondanks de open haard.

the power shower, bedding quality, fruit in room no tea making faciliy, being phone up after leaving questioning if we had removed a do not distub dog!! Made to feel like a thief. early check out 10am usually 11/12am

The wow factor. Amazing hotel and friendly staff. The room was spotless and the food was delicious. It was warm and comfortable. It felt very luxurious and is an ideal for a treat for a partner. Easy access to Liverpool Rail system too (10 min walk)! Faultless!
