Nice clean room with an excellent and varied breakfast
Unfortunately we were late arriving - after 22:30. Very friendly owner despite this. Property was warm and clean but all we were interested in was a comfortable room. Breakfast was fine apart from the fact that we had to order it the night before.
Sadly our booking for a twin room had not been, apparently, received and so we had been allocated a double. Not ideal by any means as I was travelling with my 17 year old son! The room was small and yes, there was a tv but tiny! Tea and coffee available and shampoo & stuff in bathroom so all OK there. It really was not worth £80 per night when the Travelodge is only £69. I will learn that B&B's are not a safe bet.
Incredibly helpful host! Easy access to city by bus
Pretty noisy room on the street side
Location suited us well for visiting family out of town. Excellent breakfast, whole house was immaculate and Wendy very welcomimg. Will return on next family visit.
Standard double room a little cramped but liked the quiet of a room at the back of the house.
Friendly and convenient
A bit noisy with the traffic outside and other people upstairs
Hospitable hostess and freshly made breakfast - lovely
Couldn't get wi-fi to work
- Bed room (clean, comfortable and good design) - Toilet & shower room(clean, good water pressure and heater) - Breackfast (omlet is delicious, lots of choices) - Staff (gentle, calm and friendly)
- Traffic noise (my room faced a main road, so it was noisy until very late and from early morning)
Attention to detail by Wendy made our stay a pleasure, she is amazing! She went out of her way to meet our every need.
Very homely and welcoming; Wendy was the perfect host and breakfast was excellent.
Lovely accommodation and a very welcoming and friendly landlady who cooked us a delicious breakfast (and there was lots of choice - traditional, vege, continental, pancakes, light bites, healthy, and more).
Nothing. We were caught out a little by how far it was to walk into town but buses are very frequent and stop just outside so don't let the location put you off.
Gorgeous breakfast. Lovely room. Wendy, the owner very helpful.
The room we stayed in was a bit close to the main road so a light sleeper might not sleep as well. We were fine overall.
Lovely hostess, excellent breakfasts, very clean and comfortable room (at rear overlooking yard), off street parking (three vehicles max)
Busy street, some noise from nearby airport. Building looks a little plain from outside. Too far from Cambridge to walk.
Everything, the experience could not have been better. Great rooms and food and a very helpful owner. Easy to get to town, parking on the road in, bus service or park and ride.
Hostess was wonderful Beautiful English Breakfast So very clean Beautiful Cambridge area
Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast. Friendly welcome. Easy commute into Cambridge. Leverton House is on a main road and opposite a small airport however we were not bothered by any noise at night.
Good breakfast, comfortable beds, clean and well kept place
Friendly, comfortable, good value, great breakfast
Difficult to get suitcases to upstairs rooms. Parking on property very limited but street parking OK
The B&B was very tastefully done out. It was clean and we had everything we needed. Wendy couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming
Nothing really, everything was fine, maybe somewhere to sit such as a lounge or garden but we were only using it as a base so didn't matter to us.
Location and room facilities
Wendy, the owner was lovely and very accommodating. The room was bright, airy, nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was very good quality. Bathroom was lovely too. Whole place was spotless. Breakfast was fab, lots of variety and very very fresh. Wendy ensured any combination of what you wanted was available.
noisy no lounge, just one room hence £60. drive was difficult. bench table like being back at school.
The room was very comfortable and spotless. The attention to detail was fantastic. The food was excellent and owner very friendly and helpful. Park and ride into Canterbury was only 100 yards away.
Wendy was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Her breakfasts were superb, in quality, quantity and choice. Will definately stay here again if visiting Cambridge.
Nice room with en-suite, comfortable bed, free wi-fi and parking. Best of all a warm welcome from Wendy and an excellent breakfast freshly cooked to order every day.
A minor problem is the noise from the traffic on Newmarket Road if the weather is hot and you need to have the windows open at night. Despite this we slept well.
We stayed for 2 nites with my 2 sons in two separate rooms on 1st floor. Only 2 rooms on 1/F, so it's quite private for us. Rooms are spotless clean and cozy, comfortable beds, good quality linen/towel. The breakfast is superb with varieties to choose. Perfect stay, will definitely return next time!
