We have been going to L'Horizon on short business trips for many, many years and feel the overall standard is good. The reception staff, room maids are extremely helpful, polite and cheerful. However, the staff in the dining room, both at breakfast and evening are all the opposites of the above, and this 'surliness' was more in evidence this year than others.

The staff at the hotel were excellent. As soon as I walked through the door the receptionists were very helpful and showed me around the hotel. The Spa is perfect for beauty treatments and also a swim in the pool. The views from the hotel of St Brelade's Bay are absolutely the best and breathtaking. You just cannot beat this anywhere else. Daily walks along the beach at the doorstep! Just a minor point but the hotel could do with a new carpet on the floor I where my room was located.

Excellent location on probably the prettiest bay in Jersey. Restaurant facilities were offering very limited choice and were far too expensive in relation to others nearby.

The location was excellent and only 6/7 minute taxi ride from Jersey airport. The reception staff were very helpful and upgraded my room upon arrival to an ocean sea view which was beautiful. The english breakfast was delivered on time and was delicious and upon check out, the hotel staff booked a taxi for us to take us to the airport which arrived in minutes. Brilliant weekend and stay at L'Horizon.

The best thing about L'Horizon has to be the location right by the beach and sea. We had booked an ocean view room with balcony, but were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise. Friendly staff and good public areas. Nice indoor pool area. Food and drink good, but quite expensive. Very relaxing

The best thing about this hotel is the view overlooking St Brelades Bay. For a special occassion this hotel is worth booking but you are definately paying for the view not the room. I had specifically asked for a room with a balcony, not a terrace and had received confirmation to that effect. We were given a room with a terrace! When I complained reception staff at first said they couldn't move us as the hotel was fully booked with a company conference but eventually they said they would move us the following day. We then got a room on the second floor with a somewhat small balcony, no room for table and chairs, but the view was worth it. It spoiled the first day of my holiday though.

Being left alone No welcome gift or bottle in room apart from water in the fridge. Bathroom in my Delux room despite being clean, was old and in need of renovation/replacement. Not worth the cost in comparison with other hotels on the island who generally offer I thought the standards in the restaurant for a 4star hotel were poor eg, breakfast - salt/pepper pots were dirty, sugar shaker has greasy fingermarks, tea pot was dirty. Bar staff did not pour drinks - eg beer was delivered with a galss and left for me to pour - not what I expect. despite bveing informed that there were private functions both nights I was there, I felt the standard of food offered in the Terrace was little more than I would expect to see in a poor Bistro. very disappointing for an expensive stay.

I liked the location the food was very good if expensive staff pleasant When I arrived was given what I would describe as a boxroom even though I booked the best room on site got the feeling it was because I hadnt booked directly as a result had to move rooms twice messy for 3 night stay thought the hot bad value for money not a patch on irish hotels even though weather and beach lovely

I liked the location, which was excellent and the element of relaxation - an 'away from it all' feel about the hotel. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Rooms were kept very clean. Breakfast was good value (we were on a B&B board basis). I would recommend the hotel based on the location. I would have been disappointed if I had booked the hotel simply for the spa facilities - I would not describe these as luxurious. The rooms, whilst kept very clean, were pretty basic.

The location was excellent-so convenient for everything and with a stunning view. Being in a room above the spa meant there was no excuse for not having a swim first thing in the morning! Morning paper delivered rather late.

We regret using their restaurant for two evening meals which were very poor in quality, cooking and portion, certainly not expected for a 5* hotel. Also way over priced. We found the Smugglers Inn along the coast which was far superior at a fraction of the price. However the breakfast buffet was very good. I would not recommend staying at this hotel because its nightly rate of £350 is not worth it.

Location; beachside. Indoor swimming pool and spa. Has own private car park, unlike some adjoining hotels. Prices in hotel bar at top end of what might be expected, even for 4 star hotel
