The poor state of decoration , the mid stream renovations . the poor carpets , the poor plumbing ,

I liked the friendliness of the staff. there were some guests from the Netherlands that were really rude and noisy, but the staff dealt with it.

The reception was extremely pretty which was not consistent with the rooms quality. The carpets were really dirty and the beds way too small for king size beds. Renovation was a real disturbance and we needed to change room due to the smell of paint. Hopefully the quality will improve when everything is renovated.

The room was extra small. There were neither wardrobe nor drawer in the room. Breakfast was in sufficient. the room was extremely different from the deceptive pictures on the web site. So our stay in Lidos Hotel can best be described as ABSOLUTE FRUSTRATION.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and knowledgable. The room was very clean, small but with adequate facilities. The noise and inconvenience created by the renovation work was kept to a minimum. I would certainly stay at the lidos hotel again,

The dining room was a bit 'tatty' and the continental breakfast a bit basic.

Not enjoying the staying in this hotel at alI and will never ever go for or recommend it to anyone.I booked this hotel for two of my family members. I was charged for £30 just because I stayed in the hotel room for 6 hours and 4 minutes in the morning, provided that without telling me about this policy in advanced when I get in. They thought that i was actually sleeping in the room. But the truth is I just go there to send the luggage which my Dad stored in my home(which is 5 minutes from the hotel). As soon as we stepped out to the lobby, a staff asked me to paid because it war over six hours, I felt like I was cheated since I had no idea they got such a mean policy. Of course they explained it was written when I booked in the terms and conditions. But why didn't they tell me earlier? What I care about is not the money but they didn't say it first. If I knew that, we would spend our times in a cafe rather than in such a narrow room. However, I had to paid it because according to the policy I was 4 minutes more than the allowance time. Just so disgusting like a rip off.

It was convenient for the event I was attending and provided all the basics, which is all I was looking for.

The people working for the hotel were very nice and the room was very clear.

The room smelled like someone had been smoking in it even though it was a non smoking room. Even having the windows open for 2 days didn't take the smell away. (He bed had a plastic undfercove on it and the actual sheet didn't fit the bed so as soon as you lay down the sheet would slide off. This made our stay very uncomfortable.

The staff were welcoming and helpful, the location is within 5 minutes of victoria train station and tube. The twin room was a good size and the washroom is bigger than at other hotels on the street.

Cleanliness

3Rd bed unmade. Main bed really uncomfortable. Lots of intrusive noise at night from adjoining rooms/ corridor

The gentleman who was in the reception when I reached the hotel around 10 am on 7th Dec. 11 was nice and cooperative. The toilet and bath were cleaned but constrained in space. Apparently, it was recently built. The breakfast service was smooth and service people were very cooperative.

Frankly speaking it was a nightmare staying at Lidos Hotel. Nothing I liked. It is a shame to call Lidos as a hotel as far as I have seen the room and facility. It does not merit even a third class lodge room in an undeveloped country. The room provided to me was dirty with bad smell all the time. There was no bath soap or liquid kept in the shower area. When requested for, the reception said they expected the guest to bring by himself. The area around our room was under repair and maintenace therefore the room was dirty with lots of dust seeping in all the time. There was no chair in the room. Water kettle was not cleaned for ages which we pointed out to the reception. The young lady who was in the reception on 7th Dec.11 Was rude in her approach and sticking to her unpolite argument. I pity Ledos appoint such a staff in the reception. We had to carry through the stairs of our big and heavy suite cases at the time of checking in and check out by ourselves. There was no lift available where I was given the room.
